A rep came up the drive saying she'd been checking in with a neighbor/client (turns out, a lie- which I see from other reviews they do commonly) saying they guaranteed their services would completely terminate any insect, mice or pest infestation. I was assured they cleared out any/all mice by "spraying all the internal plumbing that they run along", would get rid of any/all spiders, stink bugs, or other indoor pests throughout the attic & basement, would completely knock out any carpenter ant or termite infestations, and would substantially reduce ticks by spraying the brush pile where "they are primarily located". As well, I was promised that an expert would be sent to inspect and identify an infestation that concerned me. When the service person came, he basically sprayed the foundation and under the eves (maybe 10 minutes), and a couple areas inside the house. I was surprised how brief the visit was but he said they didn't spray any plumbing, that he "hadn't found any evidence of mice" (NOT)(and they only set a mouse trap if they do!) and he had no idea what the infestation was. I'm sparing a lot of detail and will just say, I was alarmed enough about the difference between what the rep had promised vs delivered, that I asked him to have the rep call me to discuss things. She didn't, but another service guy showed up only 10 days later(??) (cost: for each $150). I told him the rep had not called me to discuss my concerns and asked that he not spray that day. The rep did not call, but I got an email saying my credit card was charged $150-- for a service I never had. I responded saying that I wanted all services >discontinued< until I was able to discuss my concerns with someone. No response. So I sent an email to customer service and received a response saying none of my requests had been received and the service person said I hadn't sent him away. Again I responded that I wanted to discuss my concerns BEFORE any more services were conducted. Although no one called, supposedly someone came a month later (never saw anybody) because my credit card was charged another $150. If they did come, nothing was sprayed inside At this point it had become clear that this is a lightweight operation and I just wanted them off my back, so sent several emails saying to STOP any further service- to which I got no response. No rep called to discuss my concerns. No 'expert' came to identify the infestation. Until Christmas Eve. I was in Chicago with family, but my tenant answered the door. I hadn't said anything to her about a service, so she was unsure, but he assured her it was 'typical' service and used my first name as thou we were familiar- which flustered her more. However, knowing I would've mentioned it, she was firm saying that she did NOT authorize any spraying. He sprayed anyway (in the WINTER- in New England- sprayed the snow against the foundation?!) and then had the nerve to ring the bell and ask my tenant to SIGN that he'd sprayed! And then deducted $150 before nightfall. So I called the bank to stop payment. In doing so, the bank agent was confused that Insight enters their charges "manually"-- supposedly this is more time-consuming, but it turns out, makes the charges undetectable to stop orders (only auto-payments). Smooth.. Now, feeling like I had a monkey on my back, I wrote a VERY clear email detailing everything by date and copying every correspondence that had requested services stop UNTIL someone called me to discuss my concerns. A fellow calls in February who, to his credit, was THE most tenacious person I have met in my 63 years. For probably an hour, he made excuses for every single incident, email & concern I said, which became incredibly frustrating. I must've said 15 times that whether or not he saw my point, at this juncture I just wanted to call it a loss and have them STOP COMING. By the end, the only thing he could say was that I'd signed a year-long contract-- a contract the initial rep had earnestly promised was 100% dependent 'on my complete satisfaction' (and literally states can be cancelled at any time for a $100 fee and spray costs). Long and short, this is a basic service that sprays the foundation, eves and randomly inside (if you happen to be home) and NOTHING MORE. You will pay $99 for the original service, then owe $600 more (x4 @$150. per) to finish the contract. I suggest carefully considering whether buying $50./pest spray is worth the $700. they'll charge. Know that services WILL be automatically deducted NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY. You will get charged if they don't spray inside, or if you get no services at all. In my 63 years I have never come across a company that comes close to the aggressive manner this company conducts business. To add insult to injury, for the $600 to date, I have not seen any change in spider webs in the basement, stink bugs in window sills, evidence of mice in the basement or attic, ticks on my dog- and no "expert" has ever assessed the infestation in the corner of the garage. I see several reviews with similar complaints- and some glowing ones (which I wouldn't put past being paid reviews). My experience was if you let this monkey on your back, it's on for the FULL RIDE
