They were unbelievably professional. They are a top rate company and worked so hard. They were here until 7 or 7:30 every night trying to get the work done. We were absolutely happy and would hire them again. Plus they have the best warranty around (it was a 5 year warranty on the paint product).

This is a fantastic group of painters! We were lucky enough to hire Coelho contractors by recommendation of a wonderful contractor who has done lots of work on our house. Emanuel's attention to detail was impressive, his suggestions quite helpful, and his workers quick, pleasant, and neat. Every day they set up, then broke down the work areas so that we never lost use of the kid's play area. We will definitely use them again and have already passed on his name to others for their great work.

Could not have been a better experience. This is a company that takes pride in their work and that was clear from the beginning. At the initial meeting we were given a check list of how the re-shingling should be done and regardless of whether we went with them there were certain things we should make sure any company did. Excellent suggestions were made concerning paint, repairs needed, even good artistic suggestions concerning detail painting. We have a simple triple decker yet it had details that we were unaware of that they brought out with their excellent paint job and now we have a simple yet beautiful "painted lady". When the job started they stayed on it as long as weather allowed. Clean up was excellent. Have found no stray shingle or wood fragments in the yard anywhere. Some unavoidable damage was done to some window screens which they promptly repaired. The cost also compared very favorably to every other estimate we got.

This company is extremely pleasant and professional. They arrived at the same time every day, unless the weather was not on their side, they performed the work quickly and efficiently and up to standards. The employees were very courteous and professional, also. Overall, they completed the project in about 3 weeks. The house looks better than when I had purchased it!

Excellent. They arrived on time and completed the work in a timely professional manner. The owner came at the end to inspect the work and answer our questions.

I liked this small local company/representative. He was knowledgeable, answered all of my questions, told me that their estimates usually came out in the middle [some higher and some lower]. He assured me that his roofers would take care of my shrubs. He gave me a very descriptive estimate. His price to put a new rubber roof over my flat roof was the same as that from another company that included stripping off the old roof, and longer/more extensive warranties. In fact, I wish that they had been competitive estimates [or Coelho's only slightly higher] because I would have hired Coelho.

They started on the promised date with the sanding, followed by power washing. They allowed adequate time after the washing for the wood to dry, then came back to prime and paint all of the railings. They were conscientious about putting down drop clothes to protect the floorboards and plants. They were interrupted several times by rainy weather, but always returned as soon as possible after everything dried out. After the railings were done, they re-stained the floorboards and handrails. At the end, they did a final touch-up to remove any tiny paint splatters on the floor.

The estimate was prompt and courteous.

We liked them as they were very helpful. They even helped us pick out just the right color. They were accommodating with the scheduled date because we both work. They even found some extra work that needed to be done when they were up there and they did that for no extra charge.

This company is very well run/ organized. Our job went smoothly and was completed in the time we had specified. A few minor callbacks, but overall the job was done pretty well.

They came on time, finished the job in one day, and delivered really sturdy and good-looking stairs. We loved it.

They did the job in a couple of hours. They brought the windows after a few weeks we hired them, installed them, and took the old windows with them. It was a quite clean job. There was only some debris on the floor that could be swept easily. The windows look great. It is exactly what we wanted.

They showed up a week later than scheduled, and built the deck in less than a week. It looked really great, but the stairs had steps with different heights. They came weeks later and rebuilt the stairs in one day. They also glued post caps that were loose. The responsiveness was very good. We liked them very much and hired them again after that.

They did a very good job. They did a lot of prep work, and were responsive to my questions. The house looks great. The owner sent people back after the painting was finished to replace a screen that was accidentally damaged, and to fix a door that wouldn't close. Everything was completed to my satisfaction. There were a few small mis-communications about scheduling and removing metal fixtures. Some of this may have been due to the fact that the owner and his wife were expecting a baby right around the time their crew was working on my house. I was glad I moved many of my small plants from around the house, as the beds had a lot of traffic.

They did a very good job. We will eventually use them again. We were very pleased. Things were in line with the other comments we read. We got about five quotes, and they were the best.

The whole process went extremely smoothly and we are delighted with the quality of the job. Also, the friendly and professional attitude was an absolute delight. Let me share a couple of experiences. We made a request after the job had begun and volunteered to pay for it. However, after it was all over they did not charge extra. Moreover, there was a small patch on the deck that we did not like and the owner himself painted over during the final check and made it perfect. All in all, they not only met, but exceeded our expectations which were high, after having read all the positive comments on Angie's List.

Emmanuel came to our house in mid April and answered all my questions regarding what his company would do. I was impressed with his knowledge and his frankness in answering questions. I was impressed that his company applied TWO coats of paint (in addition to an oil based primer) as well as guaranteed that he would come back for up to 5 years to repair any issues we might have with the painting. Coelho's bid came in around the same as 3 other companies but because of the two coats of paint and oil primer Coelho stood above the rest. Due to various showers thru mid summer the painting started later than expected but in a nutshell we could not be happier. The crew was professional, quiet, and worked 12 hour days. The crew chief consulted with us several times to make sure they were doing what we wanted and they completely picked up after themselves. Our whole neighborhood has complimented us on the paint job. We are very very happy.

They were careful, thorough, courteous, and they did a superb job. Only complaint was that there were days when they did not show up or call. When they were there, they were there in force, and they worked quickly and effectively.

We're in the middle of the process of getting the house painted and the company is now making me sign a new contract for the color/brand of paint. Nothing was stated in the original contract about only using their specific brand of paint nor was it mentioned when I talked to an employee on the phone about using the brand I wanted. I also sent them samples of the color/brand I wanted but then when they showed up to put the samples on the house they had a different brand of paint that wasn't the same color I wanted.

The job took a month because of inclement weather. But Emanuel Coelho always kept us informed about plans. His workers were polite, took pride ion their work, and seemed to enjoy themselves throughout. The carpenter was great. Altogether a very enjoyable experience and a professional job in every way.

The guys name was Daniel and he did really great work. He was a wonderful man and always on time. Everything was good about him. His wife was even helpful with helping pick out colors and things like that. It was a nice experience.

Very, very, very well. Emanuel's estimate was superior to other contractors (all highly rated on Angie's List) better at finding lower cost alternatives, lower price overall. Emanuel responded quickly to the estimate request and to all contracting questions. The work was done quickly and very well. The workers were very considerate and neat. The quality of the work seems very good. Emanuel and the staff were both responsive to suggestions and requests. Given the top ratings on Angie's list, I expected very good service and high quality work. I'd say they exceeded my expectations.

From the first phone call to the last day on the job it was a pleasure working with Emanuel and his crew. The painters worked hard everyday and they did a beautiful job. All the repairs were done first and then the painting. I have a large garden around my home and they were careful not to destroy it. I got 4 other estimates and Coelho Contracting wasn't the cheapest also wasn't the highest but the only one that offered a 5 year written guarantee on the paint job. Some painters offer 2 years and others no guarantee at all. That was the deciding factor for me. All the painters were very professional and very clean. I'm extremely happy with everything especially the 5 year warranty. Overall the project ran very smoothly and quick. It was a great value for the quality of work. Our story goes back many years, to 1998 when we had replaced the shingles on the back of the house with clapboards and stained with a semi-transparent stain. We had planned to do the rest of the house the following year, but we couldn't afford to continue. Many contractors told us our remaining shingles couldn't be painted because they were in such bad shape, and we believed them. We called Coelho for an estimate for replacing the shingles with clapboards, but Emanuel convinced us that we could paint the existing shingles. We were skeptical. Our house was in terrible shape! Emanuel told us about his experience with historical houses in much worse shape and showed us how they would scrape the shingles down to the bare wood. When they started working, we understood why other contractors said it couldn't be done - they weren't willing to work this hard!! Our house is transformed - strangers and neighbors stop to comment! Our experience with Coelho was even better than expected.

Not only was the paint job itself well done, the painters also protected all our plantings and prepared us for what ever work was being done for each day. They were very responsive to our questions and quickly corrected any problems. They were courteous as well as industrious. We are very happy with the finished product, and feel particularly pleased with the company's 5-year guarantee.
