ASAP Lock & Key

Finally changed my locks after moving in to my condo a few months ago. I used ASAP lock and key after he rescued me from locking myself out a week prior. Moishe used high quality locks, was in and out, and simplified my life immensely by a) letting me use just one key for all my condo doors, and b) helping me sleep better at night knowing that I had more control over who came into and out of my home -- and I didn't even think I cared until *after* I'd finally gotten it done. Very reasonable price and a pleasure to work with.

Moshe was prompt, professional, and extremely pleasant. He's the third locksmith I've used to change the locks at my rental, and he is the least expensive and the nicest. I will use only his services in the future!

My thoughtful heating contractor locked the pin-push lock on my front doorknob--alas, foolish me had never bothered to check if my key worked on this lock. As soon as I pulled the door shut, I realized that I didn't have a key for it -- nor for the back door that could also have let me in. Moshe let me in, reminded me very kindly that it is perhaps a good idea when buying a condo to be sure that a) you have keys for all your doors, and b)you change your locks after moving in. Normally I don't care much for unsolicited advice, but not only was he very right, he was also no-pressure -- even though frankly, he could have been. The cost of letting me in at the end of the day, after hours, and supplying me with a new key was extremely reasonable. I made an immediate appointment to have him come back to replace the other locks. He's also a really wonderful guy; my boyfriend and I both felt that it was worth the hassle of having locked ourselves out just to meet him!

Instead of recommending an expensive replacement, Moshe suggested that we instead install a much less expensive deadbolt. He ordered the part and was back in a week to install it.

ASAP Locksmith was excellent. Moshe was prompt, professional, courteous, and efficient. He re-keyed 4 locks and installed 1 new deadbolt, which took him about 1-1.5 hours. He completely cleaned up after himself and did an excellent job! i would highly recommend ASAP Locksmiths.

I called ASAP to get help with a broken lock in my building. Moshe was responsive, returned calls immediately, scheduled very quick appointments, showed up always on time, called with updates, and eventually did far more work than was asked and charged far less than he could have. A FANTASTIC EXPERIENCE, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

ASAP Lock and Key was great. We no longer have front doors that slam shut and have two new, nice looking door closers that are quiet and effecient. ASAP Lock and Key's bid was nearly half of another quote we secured. Mr. Werba was very professional in his approach and punctual. His work is very much appreciated by the condo association.

We purchased a new home and needed the locks changed. We called Moshe the morning of our closing, and he was able to meet us at our new home by 3:00 the same afternoon. He was very friendly, efficient, and responsive. Contractors will be at the home for a few months, and we will definitely call Moshe to change the locks again once the work is done. He is great!

I managed to lock myself out of my apartment, and checked on Angie's List to find a locksmith who hopefully wouldn't rip me off. ASAP Lock was at the top of the list, and had gotten a lot of great reviews, so I gave them a call and asked for a price. I checked around with a few other places and not finding a better price, I decided to go with ASAP. Moshe said that he would be at my apartment within a half an hour, and he showed up in about 20 minutes, which was great. He was very friendly (and very accommodating to my neighbor's inexplicably curious cat) and got the job done quickly. I couldn't have been more pleased with the service. If I ever get locked out again, I will absolutely call ASAP first! He charged me what I thought was a very fair price, lower than the quoted amount ($75) possibly because I mentioned that I found him on Angie's List (where he has a $10 off coupon), and possibly because the job didn't take very long.

Called the night before. Moshe told me he'd be there at 9:30 am, and showed up at 9:15 am. Saw the locks that needed to be changed, gave me a suggestion, and changed both locks.

Moshe showed up on time and provided advice as how to approach my crazy key situation. With only 2 apartments in 1 building (with a garage and 10 doors) we ended up compiling a hundred different keys and locks over the years. He spent 4 hours and cleaned everything up. Not only does it make sense now but you should see my new key ring...ONE KEY FOR EVERYTHING! I highly recommend ASAP Lock & Key based out of J.P.

I've used ASAP Lock in the past, before I joined Angie's List, and Moshe has always been quick and knowledgeable. This time he arrived even earlier than promised, and fixed the problem in about 15 seconds (embarrassing!). He didn't even want to charge me, but of course I had to tip him.

This is second time that I've used Moshee and have been happy both times. He is *the* locksmith to call in JP. Knows everybody, been in everybody's place before, very friendly-- albeit a bit eccentric. He does tend to single-mindedly advise that the only real solution to security concerns is "a big dog with a loud bark" but if you persist, as we did, he will provide constructive solutions to improved door security and has the stuff to do it in his truck (if he can find it). The carpenter he brought in on a subcontracted basis (Peter?) was excellent.

Moshe showed up promptly, fixed the lock efficiently.

I had tried to do the work myself, and after the key got stuck in the door twice, I decided to have the locks fixed professionally. Mr. Werba was fine with using the locks I had bought, and he let me buy the others I needed, as he said that would be less expensive than buying them from him. He did an excellent job, and it cost much less than I expected. He was pleasant and professional, and all my locks now use the same key!

Spoke on the phone. He gave a cost per lock and we set up an appointment for the next day. NO SHOW; NO CALL.

Though I did not actually have any services performed by him, I had to respond given the last persons review of him. I found out when the re-scheduled date came (just after prior reviewer) that Moshe became ill and had to have surgery. I think that is probably why he did not get back to that reviewers situation. He had another locksmith taking his calls/covering his service and Freddy from Total Security in Brookline who was very nice in ensuring I was taken care of.

He came and we talked about some locks. I told him about the type of locks I was interested in. He said he would do some research and get back to me. That was the last I heard from him. He seemed very disorganized.

Moshe, the locksmith, installed a new deadbolt for me. He quoted me $50 for the job. When he came to my condo he realized that the job was more complicated and more difficult than he had anticipated (because my house was built in the 1700's and nothing is level or matches up quite right) but he refused to charge me any more than the price he quoted me on the phone. Six months later I was having trouble with it and I called him. He came back that day (four hours later) and fixed it! He is absolutely great!!

The locksmith was there at nine, as promised, and put in a new cylinder to match our keys.

I chose them because they were rated high on angies list. They were excellent. They came out to our place to do the work. Their price was reasonable. They were punctual and professional.

I called several different places and ended up playing phone tag. Eventually I decided to just go with the first person who answered the phone himself which was ASAP. He agreed to come the next day since I was in a hurry and changed a number of locks to my specifications. I got 2 high-security locks including one that locks automatically, 2 standard locks, and he fixed a mailbox. He also gave me the number of duplicate keys I requested. I had one door that would not close previously and he adjusted the doorjam there also. Was very satisfied with the work.

Moshe arrived on time. He explained which locks could be rekeyed, which needed to be recylindered, and which needed to be replaced. He thought out the least expensive way to change the locks and to have the least number of keys for our two-familly house. He was very efficient hand helpful.

Moshe came out the following Saturday morning, which was what I requested because I work weekdays. He said that he had a selection of hardware available, but I planned to get the locks myself from Home Depot. Unfortunately, I ran out of time and didn't get to the store. He did have what was needed for the job, but not as much selection. The prices were extremely fair, though. The work went well and was completed in a pretty short period of time.

ASAP Lock & Key did a good job. His prices were reasonable. The experience was very nice. He was very professional. He showed up at the time he said he would. He cleaned up after himself. He was very personable.
