Nate took care of some wifi issues we were having, setting up hotspots around the house. He also helped with swapping out an Xfinity box and some computer issues. I was happy at the time, he's a nice guy who even worked with me on a payment plan to spread out the cost (which was truly appreciated after I was laid off by my employer). That said, Nate has completely disappeared, not returning calls, emails or text messages after several attempts. This disappearing act is a HUGE problem since we weren't provided the login details for any of the aforementioned, leaving us powerless to deal with new issues we're now having. For example: I can't swap out my old Xfinity equipment because I don't have login details (required for setting up the new equipment). This has lead to threats from Xfinity of shutting off my service because I'm being charged hundreds of dollars for gear that's supposed to be returned. I expected a higher level of professionalism and better service from Nate, unfortunately I now feel like I got truly screwed over and wouldn't recommend him to anyone.

WiFi / home network issues

Nate was great. He is a clear communicator and did a very good job of involving us in the decisions he was recommending about how to upgrade our system. He's also a very pleasant person, who is willing and able to help out on all sorts of tasks from the most sophisticated tech wizardry to rationalizing your drawer full of old and often useless cables.

Nate Alterman did high-quality work. He traced, marked and terminated all the cables, installed the new patch panel, and new outlets in the rooms. He was very nice and helpful; answered all my questions and advised on a few additional things on cabling and WiFi that can be done in the future. Highly recommended!

Nate was great. He designed the network, came and did a walk through with the electrician to make sure he understood everything that needed to be done. He came quickly to finish the job and fit it into his very busy schedule and was prompt to answer any emailed questions, even on the weekend. He patiently taught us what we needed to know about our system to get as much out of it as possible. He was cheerful and pleasant always, and was careful to clean up after himself. I cannot recommend Nate highly enough.

Nate spent 4 onerous hours diagnosing the problems and running down the solutions to get everything reconnected and working together again. Nate’s bill was extremely moderate for all his time and good results. In addition, Nate later made himself available, without charge, to give remote phone advice and online repair to reconnect the scanner on our AIO printer (which stopped working). I recommend Nate highly and think he more than earned his “A” rating with Angie’s List!

THE BEST!!!! Throughout it all, Nate was totally professional, delightful and easy to have around, patient and kind, thoughtful and great at teaching when asked what he was doing and why. Nate is EXTREMELY knowledgable and yet quite able to seek help when necessary, e.g. my Mac transfer was a bit problematic given the many hundreds of times he'd performed this process seamlessly until he spoke with AppleCare who told him they'd changed a significant piece of info regarding transfers and neglected to make it public! And BTW, he did not charge for the extra time than usual or being on the phone with Apple. That he has an affiliation with Comcast and was able to get immediate access/priority tech support from them was a huge bonus. Completely trustworthy, it soon became obvious to us that giving him a set of our keys helped to create maximum efficiency in our busy lives. We would not hesitate to go to Nate again, and recommend him most highly, without any reservations whatsoever. Happy to answer any specific questions... Oh, just want to mention that I had shoulder replacement surgery towards the end of his work for us and he brought me his home-made, delicious chicken soup! That is indeed above and beyond :-)

Excellent work, surpassed my expectations. He was also very supportive and sympathetic, explaining what he was doing. Invaluable for people who are overwhelmed with technological advances but need to use them in their work.

Nathan picked up the PC the day I called. He got back to me promptly after he found out the power supply was bad. He put in a new power supply and we were back in business. Even with all his other jobs he got our PC back to us in less than a week. Kudos Nathan!

This is one excellent job accomplished in a string of many.  I have been extremely fortunate to have been using Alterman Consulting for a number of years.  As a small business, I have seven (7) computers of various ages and importance, from a simple desktop to the main server.  And when something goes wrong, it's seldom on the time that we scheduled regular maintenance; it's more likely to be on a weekend or at the close of the business day.  Since we're a retail business, that's open  seven (7) days a week, it's usually important to have work done on a timely manner - like right now!  Alterman Consulting has stepped up to the plate when it's been important.  The good (B) rating that I gave was for scheduled non-emergency maintenance.  In fairness, usually it's been interrupted by some else emergency.
I would unhesitatingly recommend this outfit for any personal and business advice or maintenance.
