"Thanks for the great review and photo, [Member Name Removed]. Masters Touch Design Build strives for excellent workmanship and we're happy to hear yours was fantastic!"
"Hey (removed member name), Glad to hear the baby is enjoying the carpeting. Thanks for taking the time to write your review and recommend our services. We appreciate it. Doug & the entire Masters Touch Team"
1) Quality. They do the job WELL. I am confident when I hire them that I am getting experts in their fields. I'm not going to have to worry that the job wasn't done "up to snuff."
2) Single point of contact. Don't you hate it when (for example) you need to re-do a shower and you need "a tile guy" and a plumber, and you can never coordinate their schedules? Masters Touch is a single point of contact provider. They handle all those logistics and the result is a job done quickly because they've coordinated all the worker's schedules.
3) Simplicity. They make it easy to work with them. They come in and give you an estimate - and that's the price. I'm sure there are some situations with some jobs that can arise that can cause extra charges, but in all my experiences with them, they quoted me a price - and that was the price I paid.
4) Neatness. I don't want to live in a construction zone for days/weeks while a job is being done. Every day they clean up like they've never been there, so when the kids get home from school, etc., you can actually live in your house and not have to worry about construction equipment, dust & debris everywhere.
Masters Touch certainly won't win a bid on price alone - they probably aren't the cheapest vendor you can find, but if you are like me - a working professional who can't spend time supervising contractors, Masters Touch is the way to go. Hire them, and the job will be done - and done well.
"I'm pretty sure this review was written my [Member Name Removed]'s wife, [Member Name Removed]. She was not involved in meeting with me for a bid OR during the day to day production of work, but felt entitled to write a bid. We'll just leave it that the [Member Name Removed] went through several contractors on their job and made it almost impossible to perform the work in a timely manner. We jammed the work into our schedule because when we showed up the work was already started by another company whom they had fired (or perhaps TWO!) I felt bad for them and told them we could do the work time and materials as filler work. No promises were made about man-power, etc. as mentioned above. We even facilitated them hiring some of our subs directly to save them money (again felt bad for them.) Perhaps if it takes you 3 contractors to finish your job, YOU'RE the problem. Doug Masters, Owner"
"Mr. [Member Name Removed] was very pleased with us at the time of the work. No idea what happened between when we finished and when he wrote the review. In terms of pricing, he liked the price when he signed the contract and gave us a deposit. He was a super difficult customer to work with. I hope any of my competitors can find this before they work with him. We tried our best to work with a very demanding and unreasonable customer. [Member Name Removed]Masters, Owner"
"We never entered into contract with the member and have never met her and did not hear from her until the project was near complete. We were contracted by a man at this address, who is/was her husband. The project was to finish a garage into office space, on a strict budget. He was aware that some areas would be lower quality than others in order to fit his budget, and it was he who set the expectations. It became painfully apparent that there was no communication between the couple, as we did exactly what was contracted for but the member had only a vague sense of the scope and was asking for items to be completed that were not contracted for and would ask/argue about items that had already been discussed with her husband. Not long after project completion Masters Touch was subpoenaed by their respective lawyers for evidence relating to expenses on the project for their divorce."
"WHEN WE FINISHED THE PROJECT THERE WAS NO INDICATION FROM THE CLIENT THAT THERE WAS ANY ISSUE, BUT WHEN I ASKED FOR PAYMENT OF THE BALANCE DUE THE PROBLEMS BEGAN. I PROMPTLY MADE AN APPOINTMENT TO MEET AND RESOLVE ANY ISSUES. I ARRIVED ON TIME TO MEET WITH THE MEMBER BUT HAD TO WAIT 45 MINUTES FOR THEM TO ARRIVE. UPON OUR MEETING IT QUICKLY BECAME APPARENT THAT THE MEMBER WAS ARGUMENTATIVE AND WAS NOT INTERESTED IN RESOLVING THE PROBLEM. SHE STATED THAT SHE WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THE UNEVEN LOOK OF THE HOUSE. OUR CONTRACT CLEARLY STATED THAT FEATHER SANDING WAS NOT INCLUDED AND THAT UNEVEN LAYERS WOULD SHOW IN THE FINISHED PRODUCT. THE PAINT BRAND ISSUE: WE PROVIDED ACTUAL SAMPLES OF EVERY COLOR ON THEIR HOME AND THEY SIGNED A FORM APPROVING THESE COLORS AND BRAND NAMES BEFORE THE JOB STARTED. AT NO TIME BEFORE OR DURING THE JOB WAS BENJAMIN MOORE EVER MENTIONED TO US BY THE MEMBER. THE JOB WAS DELIVERED AS PROMISED. DOUG MASTERS, OWNER"
"THANK YOU."
