BUYER BEWARE...the "Earl" of Quimby Electrical Appliance Co. of E. Longmeadow, MA ("Earl" is the name of the proprietor) is out to get your money and run to his ocean-front cottage that all his clients have paid so dearly for. Pictures are plastered everywhere in the store showing what all his duped clients have funded. He does not know the meaning of courteous service or repair of his own products. We purchased a washer from him and 18 months later, the appliance failed completely. We visited "Earl" at his store and were told his only service man was on a well-deserved vacation for two weeks. He never had the forethought to have a replacement service person and he indicated that he could/would do nothing to help us and had no desire to service his product. He made NO attempt to resolve this problem and left us to solve this ugly dilemma. At my insistence, he did contact another service company...and we later learned they charge a non-refundable $119.00 just to show up at our front door! "Earl" also suggested the we (not him) contact the manufacturer Maytag/Whirlpool directly. We purchased a "push-button start" washer from "Earl" in good faith. We now know this machine was faulty from the beginning having only one cycle operation only. No one should be selling these machines to their customers. As we left the store, "Earl" shouted that he didn't care if we ever came back. Believe me, we won't and you shouldn't either. Hey "Earl", I thought the customer was ALWAYS right...?
