During my initial research into companies that  fabricate and install granite countertops I stopped in to the Bedrock showroom.  I initially spoke with Joe who showed me a few samples.  Right from the beginning Joe was very helpful and gave me a few samples to bring home and get an idea of what types of stone might work in our kitchen.   I enjoyed that they took the time to speak with me and educate me on how the whole process works from picking out the stone until the installation date.  After a little more research I decided that Bedrock was the provider that I felt most comfortable with.  Picking out stone is a tough task and at one point my wife and I chose a stone from  MSI in Norwood that we really liked and the guys at Bedrock let us know that although the stone looks nice it has been a problem with other people in the past.  The guys at Bedrock could have easily fabricated and installed the stone that we initially chose, but they chose instead to let us know that it has not been the most durable product for others.  We finally found our stone and they guys came through with fabrication and install in the time frame that they had promised.  Both of the owners, Joe and Bert actually took the time to come out to my house on the install date to make sure that the whole job went well.  The install crew were polite and professional, you could tell that they cared about doing a great job.  I am very pleased with my decision to choose Bedrock and would recommend them to others.

We went to bedrock upon the suggestion of our contractor.  The showroom had a nice variety of colors to look at and also a reasonable selection of slabs to look at.   We were able to find one we liked that day.  The sale guy was very nice and generally knowledgeable.  We decided that day to purchase our bar sink from them as well and it is a nice heavy sink, the price was fair and we figured it would make the install and process overall that much easier.  Once we selected the granite they were quickly able to schedule a template and install in less than a weeks time which was great as we had a bar top in time for the holidays!  My husband was there for the template process and explained to them that we had wanted a backsplash which the salesman in the showroom was not sure could be done due to the small space around the outlets without seeing in person.  However, the template guy who came out to the house, said no problem and it could be done and a price was agreed upon for the backsplash.  My husband was also there for the install and said the installers explained the sealing process etc.  and were very nice and on time etc.
Would use again in need of a bath or kitchen counter.

The staff was knowledgeable, friendly, polite and professional.  There were no supprises.  They were always on time.   They gave us some do's and don'ts for the countertop care.  They did a great job for an excellent price.

The countertop was eventually installed correctly. It took 3 appointments to get it done right. They had to come out multiple times to fix cutting errors with the backsplash.
Response from Bedrock Granite
"We continually emphasis how important communication is with our customers and it is the reason we insist the customer is present during the templating/measuring of the job. The customer chose to have their contractor present instead of either one of themselves. They in fact did receive the aforementioned 1" overhang, which is standard on a vanity top. What they wanted but didn't communicate was actually a 1 3/4" overhang. The granite wasn't "installed improperly" but rather secured as we were to return the next day to complete the install. Their contractor took it upon himself to "align" the top so he could complete the plumbing,.prior to our return! We do not employ "inexperianced kids" and I guess explanations were confused with "excuses". We respond immediately to any questions or concerns our customers may have and it's one of the many reasons we enjoy a healthy referral business! It is disappointing this customer was less then pleased but as was stated at the end of her report, it was installed correctly. Obviously this installation didn't go as smoothly as we all would have liked and much of it had to do with the lack of communication during templating. We would be happy to cut a stone anyway the customer wants, they just have to tell us! I invite Angies Members to visit our website and browse our testimonial section. It is and has always been our goal to make the customer happy. Sincerely' Joseph LaPalme"

After getting a not so magical quote from a big name kitchen remodeling company we weren't sure we could afford having our countertops done over. We decided to check out a couple of the smaller places and we're sure glad we did. Bedrock Granites showroom was very well put together, with large samples of all the various granite colors they had and a couple of displays with cabinets, sinks, etc. The price per sq ft was clearly marked on each sample. In a back room and around the outside of the showroom they had large whole slab samples of the more popular colors. The staff there was very helpful in suggesting different color options that would look great with our existing cabinets. We left the showroom with a couple of samples on loan and a quote that made us very happy, only a third of the cost of the previous quote we got. We decided to go with Bedrock Granite the next day and called back to arrange for the installation. One of the owners came out the following evening to draw up the templates for the countertops, clearly explaining what they were going to do and what we needed to do to prepare. We received a card in the mail a couple of days later thanking us for our business. About a week later the installers came out to get the new countertops put in place. They were very professional, removing the old countertops and getting the new ones in place. They cut the back splashes on-site. After they were done they cleaned up everything and gave us some recommendations for cleaning products and maintenance of the countertops. They also gave us a beautiful cutting board made out of some of the leftover granite. We did have a minor issue with the placement of one the countertops but they were very helpful and just as responsive as before we had paid them. Bedrock Granite was one of the best companies we have ever dealt with. Their prices were great, the installation crew was very professional and the countertops came out looking great. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone.

Bedrock Granite gave us the best combination of price and quality during our search for countertops. (Their prices were very competitive; we only gave them a 4 out of 5 for price in our rating since their quote wasn't the lowest we received, though their quality and professionalism, ie "value" was clearly a 5; granite is expensive.) Very friendly and knowledgeable, they gave us several options to consider in the showroom. Their showroom has a lot of samples, and is very inviting. Once we decided to go with them, they were quick to schedule a measurement session, they showed us the raw granite to make sure that we were happy with the color and variations, and the countertops were ready when they said they would be. The install was very quick and professional. I have nothing but praise for this company, and would recommend them to anyone. They left us with a nice cutting board at the end, and some good suggestions for future work when we get a new stove.

The sales associates in the showroom were professional and knowledgeable. I was able to pick out the slab of granite from several pieces of the color I wanted. Bert, a co-owner in the business came out to my home to measure the counter, and answer any last-minute questions I had. The counter top was installed in about 3 hours; the installers arrived in a timely manner. they were particularly meticulous working around the newly refurbished cabinets and the newly installed oak floor. They did a fabulous job hiding the seam. Bert also made me a large granite cutting block, and 2 more 6" trim blocks for behind the stove. Unfortunately, I found a small chip in the granite the day after the installation of the back splash. Bert came right out and repaired it without charging me.
