Motti Painting Solutions Inc

After providing a professional and thorough bid, Motti Paint Solutions painted the exterior of my home and stained my deck. They also did some planned and unplanned necessary carpentry work. From start to finish, on every level, they were excellent to deal with, from the owners, to the crew. Overall, the quality of the work was outstanding. The crew were skilled and friendly and hardworking and if we ever needed to review something, the job manager, Felipe, was always professional and responsive. In fact, at one point, he made the suggestion to re-paint the shutter fasteners a different color for aesthetic reasons and he was absolutely right...they look much better! After an unexpected hard rain shower, the job was showing some streaking and without even asking, Motti Solutions offered to apply a third coat. They really worked to insure that the customer is satisfied - they don't just say it, they really do it. Also, our front door screen was ripped slightly during the clean-up phase and before I even knew, it was not only brought to my attention by Felipe, he also had already contacted the carpenter and made the arrangements for it to be repaired. We've received numerous compliments from our neighbors and we couldn't be happier. I would (and have already) highly recommended them! Thank you Daniel and Felipe and crew - we will be calling for our interior work as well!

The job went great from start to finish, and my house looks gorgeous. Daniel was excited about the prospect of painting my house from the day he first saw it, and all my interactions with him and Felipe and the crew were terrific. I couldn't be more pleased with the work. The quality of the work of the carpenters and the painters is top-notch; they really take pride in their work, and it shows in all the details, including the way they kept the work area clean. They even vacuumed the garden after they scraped the paint!! After they removed the old metal window casings, they found that two of my replacement windows had been installed inside the frames of the previous replacement windows, so the previous frames stuck out beyond the window trims- hard to describe, but the window installation clearly hadn't been done right. The carpenters had to recut the old frames and retrim the windows and now they look just right. These guys work really hard AND really well. My neighbors (who were home during the day) kept telling me how impressed they were with the work and with their work ethic. My old front door knocker was green with age and although I tried cleaning it, I didn't get it much better and decided to let it go. But one of the painters took it down and cleaned and polished it, so there would be no off notes on the beautifully painted front door. No detail was too small for them to attend to; any question I had was promptly and graciously addressed. At the final walkthrough there were very few things to be addressed, and they were all very small. I feel like I have a new house now, and I feel that my money was well spent- that's a good feeling when you spend that much money! I would hire Motti Painting again without hesitation. They were just plain fantastic.

Daniel came and gave an estimate that was thorough and fair. Although the rainy weather on and around the projected start date postponed things a bit, once the project began, all went well. Daniel and Felipe were incredibly responsive via email and phone. They humored me with each of my nit-picky questions and answered with patience and professionalism. The crew was very professional. They arrived early every day and worked solidly through to the end of the shift. Once the project was complete (and looked spectacular), I had a walk through with Felipe. He made sure I was completely satisfied before he would accept my final payment. I will and have already recommended Motti painting solutions to friends.

I received quotes from 4 painting companies and selected Motti because of the quality of their proposal, fairness of the price, and their responsiveness. Their prior references were good too. They did a great job with everything. They sanded and scraped, then washed, primed and sanded some more. Then they did 2 coats of paint. The house looks great! The crew was punctual and polite and cleaned up at the end of every day. They seemed to really enjoy the work and took great pride in the job well done.

I liked them very much. They were very detail-oriented, very thorough, extremely skilled, and very competent. Daniel Motti does what he says he’s going to do. He showed up on time and he did the work well. For a contractor, that’s rare.

They were very professional and prompt. But, I chose someone else who gave me a lower quote and a good deal. My overall experience with them was excellent.

This was absolutely the most professional job I've ever seen! Motti kept in reliable email contact with us, gave us a very thorough contract with an estimate they stuck to, always showed up on time, and cleaned up beautifully. And we could not believe how quickly they finished! The entire job of power-washing, caulking, priming, and painting our 2-story cape with 2 dormers took them just three and a half days. We are very pleased with the beautiful job they did, and would definitely hire them again.

It went well. They were open to suggestions, and very helpful. Daniel came to the house and gave me a quote. He said he could come during the summer. Surprisingly, he called earlier than I expected, and they were at the house and ready to start very quickly. They worked for about five days straight, from about 7/8-5, including Saturday. When they were painting near our cars, they were very careful to cover our cars with plastic. At the finish of the job, they asked me to walk around, take a look and let them know if everything was okay. I was pleased.

They were excellent. The overall experience was excellent. They were punctual, responsive, and professional.

EXCELLENT! Dan Motti and his crew were polite, professional, very detailed and careful in their work and worked long days to complete my house painting. A lot of scraping of old paint was involved and I never found a paint chip in my yard or garden due to their thorough clean up at the end of every day. They pressure washed my flagstone steps going from the front of the house down to the backyard so they sparkle! At the end of the job, they washed the outside of all my windows (over 26 of them!). There is not a speck of paint to be found on my windows or window sills. My neighbors sang their praises and complimented them - via me - on how thorough and professional they were. Dan emailed me regularly with updates on what aspect of the job would be done that day or the next and except for rain delays, the schedule didn't waiver. I highly recommend Motti Painting Solutions and if I decide not to do some interior painting projects myself, I will definitely contact Dan.

Despite my earlier comments below, where I was very happy with the work performed I felt compelled to update the review based on my experience with Motti relative to warranty repairs. After 3 years my paint job has failed in multiple small areas. I contacted Motti over two months ago to find out how they wanted to handle this. They were difficult to contact as their vmail frequently reports that their mail box is full. Rarely does a person answer the phone. When I did get through I was told that they would take care of the issue and that I would be added to the warranty repair list. I have not heard from them since and I have to conclude that they do not stand by their warranty. I have downgraded my ratings because the warranty was one of the principal reasons that I chose Motti. "The Motti team did an excellent job from start to finish. They showed up on time and cleaned up after each day. They were careful to ensure that the paint being applied did not overlap the trim areas. All down spouts were removed and then re-installed after painting. The details of what was to be done were spelled out in the contract and they met the job completion date I specified on the contract."

He did outstanding work, and I have been using him for years with any projects I have. They take great pains to protect your property and are very clean. They are puntcual, do the job on time, and are very polite. I don't even think about calling anyone else.

We were on a very tight schedule, and we needed to get it completed before our kids and grandchildren showed up. They needed to sleep in those rooms and use those rooms. They worked very hard in about 8-day period, including over the weekend to make that happen and to be done before everybody arrive, so that was very important. The thinning quality was very good. They did a lot of preparation on the surface and they did a good work. The price was a little expensive.

This was an excellent experience, because working with Daniel Motti was very pleasant under all conditions, and because his men (no women in the crew) worked very hard every day and cleaned up thoroughly every evening (even vacuuming paint chips off our bushes). I have no idea how their muscles held out -- they had to chip out old, dry window glaze for hundreds of panes of glass; of course they scraped and sanded all other paintable surfaces as well. Then they primed and applied two coats of high quality paint. I was impressed at their methodical manner -- they removed and marked every storm window frame in order to have complete access to the original windows; they also removed every shutter in order to work on them more thoroughly. Motti's crew also washed every pane of glass, including that of the re-installed storms. There were nice touches, too, such as painting the inside of the bulkhead doors, gratis, and cleaning all our gutters as part of the job (we generally hire them exclusively for gutter cleaning twice a year). I highly recommend this company -- they remind me of the amazing crews that you only usually find on HGTV.

I would give Daniel Motti and his crew an A+ if I could. After meeting with Daniel, he gave us a very detailed report of everything we discussed. We accepted his bid because we liked him and he happened to have the lowest bid we received. He was always easy to contact and very responsive. This was a huge project with an abundance of debris but the crew cleaned up each evening and used a leaf blower to rid the area of small scraps of siding and paint. They fortunately found hidden areas of rot that they would show us and we of course, would approve their repair. They managed to replicate sections of our deck rail exactly so that it was impossible to identify the replaced areas. We had ordered a set of custom shutters needed for a new window. When they arrived, the carpenter Mauricio, noticed that they were missing a small detail called "horns" which are extensions on the shutter's side stiles. He happily made them for our new shutters at no extra cost. The crew seemed to take great pride in their work - with good reason. We will happily use them for future projects and will gladly recommend them to friends and neighbors.

Extremely well. Daniel Motti came to our home several time before strat of job. They were not the cheapest, but we selected them because we have bought an old house and a lot of work needs to be done, so the idea was to develop a vendor for a long term relationship. So we looked for and based our selection on personality as well as competence. We were told that the scope of the job was such that they would be with us for a month, and they were right - Daniel came to out house nearly everyday, checking on the work, asking for our input. he was very responsive. His workers were very professional - respectful of us, our property, noise levels etc. A real pleasure to work with them. Daniel would advise us about our home as if he were the owner - what we should do, what materials we should/should not use etc. Very helpful and useful.

The Motti team did a wonderful job, including detailed preparation of surfaces that were peeling badly from a previous inadequate job by another contractor. Their carpenter replaced a significant number of wooden clapboards that had deteriorated and did a superb job of repairing an area where not only a clapboard but also the underlying sheathing had rotted through. He replaced that wooden clapboard, which was in contact with a paved surface on the ground, with a concrete clapboard to prevent future problems in that area. The crew also powerwashed and restained my front porch, back deck and backyard shed, leaving them appearing much better than I anticipated. There were a few issues regarding which paint or stain was to be used on which surface -- one of which was their missing a point that I made in my instructions and the other was my not being clear about what I wanted in another area -- but in both instances, they made the required changes without extra charge. The crew arrived early each day -- except for one Saturday when we asked them to come a little later -- worked very hard all day, and cleaned up at the end of each day. They've also been very accommodating in addressing a couple of issues -- inadequate cleaning of a couple of window surfaces, a broken bulb on an exterior floodlight -- that surfaced after the job was completed. Highly recommended!

Daniel was very responsive in viewing the job and giving us an estimate. His crew are meticulous in their attention to detail and are very nice guys to boot.

Showed up for every appointment on time and did exactly what he said he would. This is my third job using him--he gets my highest recommendation!

I have used Motti a couple of times. They were very professional and courteous. They cleaned up after themselves. The prep work they did for the painting was excellent. They really stripped the house well. The finished product was beautiful. They were very helpful and patient with the assistance of paint color and decisions to be made for that. Overall we were really happy with the results.

They come out in the spring and the fall for gutter cleaning. They notify me before coming out and do excellent work. They are competitively priced. My neighbors have all used them for other jobs as well.

Returned initial call promptly. Met at appointment promptly. Returned bid expeditiously. Showed at job site on time. Completed work as described, on timetable established, and on the budget set. Work was excellent. Left site completely clean.

My experience with them was great overall. They are really thorough and particularly when they are painting they do a great job at scraping everything down and being exacting. Daniel and his crew are really nice folk and very personable and accommodating. They get the job done but they are very courteous. This is probably the fourth or fifth project we've used him for.

Daniel Motti already had many positive reviews on Angie's List when I contacted him. After I showed him the house and described the job to him, I got a quote in the mail a few days later. This was the most thorough quote I have ever received for anything, it was nearly 10 pages long and filled with details about different types of paint, techniques of painting, overcoming mold and mildew, and many other topics. The price was very reasonable, and beat a competing quote I had by a significant margin. He was very straightforward about everything that would be done, terms of payment, and organization of the job. The actual painting staff laid out tarps everywhere over where they scraped, catching the paint scrapings as they fell. The people who painted our trim 2 years ago did not do this and made a mess. They sanded to smooth the interface between the still-adhered paint and the scraped-away region (another thing the people 2 years ago didn't do, and now their paint is peeling and looks terrible). Motti cleaned the gutters and solved a problem where one of my gutters was overflowing, and did not charge me for this. He also added anti-mold/mildew solution to the paint and power washed the house with bleach and TSP beforehand to kill any mold and mildew and ensure good adhesion of the paint. We also went for the Benjamin Moore Aura paint which is slightly more expensive but should be much more durable, this was added for a reasonable fee. In short, Daniel Motti knows his stuff, when it comes to paint, good technique, and producing a polished, finished job. You really couldn't notice that his staff was there at the end of the day (except for the paint of course). They arrived early and worked late, it was pretty impressive most days. So there you have it, this guy's a consummate professional, and when my trim paint starts peeling (because I didn't use Angie's List for that job two years ago), I'll be giving Motti a call.

This company has excellent workers. They workers are conscious, and work incredibly hard. If it would rain late in the day, they would always repaint the area that had been painted late the day before with no extra charge. Daniel, the boss, would make them do over place that he didn't think had been done to his satisfaction. He also was very patient with me when choosing the color for the house. He even put up small patches of different colors for me to look at. The workers were Brazilian and were very kind and respectful. We had two dogs and if they had left the gate open, they would climb down and shut it if they saw the dogs about. I felt like the did a mayor restoration of this 100 year old house.
