Eric came promptly with his team to solve our Fire Alarm panel at our business. They were quick, knowledgeable and gave me a reasonable invoice. I was so pleased with them, I deleted two other alarm companies from my iphone that I had been working with. Thanks Eric & Team.

Everything was great

Eric and his team configured and installed a replacement panel (PC1832) for my obsolete FBI XL-1215 alarm panel. They replaced two malfunctioning smoke detectors with new combination smoke/CO detectors and installed a third combination smoke/CO detector. Additionally, they replaced two key switches with alpha/numeric key pads and installed a third alpha/numeric key pad. Knowing that I had a tight schedule, Eric and three other members of his team completed the entire job in six hours. All of the work was done professionally and to my complete satisfaction. Eric even added additional monitoring zones to my alarm system even though I didn't specify them in my contract. I am completely satisfied with the job StarTech did for me. I highly recommend StarTech to anyone seeking to upgrade an existing alarm system or install a new one.

Eric called within 5 minutes of my inquiry. He asked questions and was knowledgeable about the alarm system that needed servicing; set up a time to check out the problem; arrived as scheduled. He was able to fix our problem that day for a reasonable charge. What more could we want?

Extremely fast response to my initial inquiry. Job was scheduled and completed very quickly. All calls and questions were responded to accurately and quickly. Eric and Patrick were a very professional , and knowledgeable team. A lightning strike had rendered my security System inoperable . Startec responded to my home advisor request very quickly . There was an initial phone consult with Eric Farmer, and an appointment was scheduled to assess the situation. He asked ahead of the visit for Pictures of the main box and satellite panels so he could bring the likely replacement parts with him. Eric and co worker Patrick went through each component of the system sequentially and assessed that : the main circuit board , all the satellite panels , several sensors , and the transformer were all fried by the lightning strike. Because they had prepped ahead they were able to replace all the damaged components on the first visit and get the system up and running on that day. On The second visit a few days later they set up the central monitoring ,also provided an app so I can arm / disarm and check status of the system from my phone. They also were able to link my fire alarm system into this whole monitoring system, a feat that my prior security contractor told me was impossible. For a reference I will also mention that For this repair I initially checked in with another security company (that shall remain nameless) headquartered in Boston . I did not use home advisor to find that outfit. After 2 months of phone tag and several rescheduled appointments I gave up on them and checked in with Home Advisor who then recommend Startec. Bottom line , Startec was ; Fast , professional , knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with . I can comfortably say that I highly recommend Startec for any security system repair issues, and although I did not do a fresh install with them, I think I can safely say that the excellent quality of the work I experienced would carry over to that side of the business. Ps I would also recommend sticking with Home Advisor for finding contractors in general. I have found over the last 10 yrs that when ever I have used a home advisor contractor that the experience has always been very positive.

I needed an old system re-activated. Eric & his crew came the next day & installed a new keypad & board. They got me up & running in no time at all, for a very reasonable price. Excellent job; thank you. ADT kept calling & trying (very hard) to sign me up for monitoring & much higher priced equipment. Anyway I highly recommend Startec.
