Description of Work: Jeff Laskey helped me to understand some complex problems with roof leaks that requiered opening walls in specific locations in order to understand where the water was coming in. The project was susessfully concluded and I wholehearted recommend Jeff Laskey.

Description of Work: Jeff Lasky is THE BEST craftsman we have ever had the pleasure of working with. He designed and built a magnificent mantle for us. His price was exceedingly fair. He arrived on time, put in a long day, and cleaned up after himself. We look forward to working with Jeff on our next project.

Description of Work: We hired Jeff last spring to design and construct a mantle and to put up crown molding in our dinning room. The price for both jobs was about $2500. His fee was exceedingly fair. He was the consummate professional. He arrived on time, put in a long day, and departed leaving the house cleaner than when he arrived. Description of Work: Jeff came out on a Saturday (which was the best time for me) and looked at my work. He was willing to take on a very challenging automated (Rainbow Stairs) attic install and understood I wanted it done as my #1 priority. It took more effort and time then hoped but he kept focused and got it done! This was no ordinary attic stair install! The other projects related to bi-fold and solid wood doors. Jeff was very creative in coming up with a solution for me when so many others could not. His solution worked perfectly on all six doors (both bi-fold and solid) and he said he had not used this method in many years but he enjoyed doing this finish carpentry work as I could tell he takes pride in his work. I recommend Jeff to anyone looking for a quality job at a fair price in the Boston area Rob Wellesley

Description of Work: No services. I called--he seems really nice--but he was busy and said he'd call the next day. Never called. I wrote to him and requested an estimate--never responded back to that email. He must be really busy. I just ended up going with someone else. 'm sure he probably does good work, but members of angie's list might want to know that he seems booked/busy. I'm not the kind of person who thinks you should have to try several times to get someone to work for you, you know? Again though, seemed like a nice, knowledgeable guy.

Description of Work: Installed two shower doors (labor only). Built a closet with shelves in an existing nook (parts and labor).

Description of Work: They tore apart a window seat that was built poorly. This work took a lot of time because it was a puzzle to figure out without wrecking a lot. Jeff tried very hard to salvage the lumber for the new window seat and he did. Jeff and his assistant Caleb, both are very personable and easy to get along with, rebuilt the seat and made it deeper. The work was superb. I had a quote from another Angie's list contractor and i didn't trust the rep. from the moment i met him and their quote was hazy. Jeff turned out to be a bit more but he was worth every penny. He pointed out reasons why the initial ideas for changing the seat, which the other contractor agreed with, would not work and showed me what would work and why. I have hired Jeff for a ton of other work and while he is sometimes late, he is worth waiting for. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and solutions he offers are great. You get a wonderful feeling of honesty and hard work from Jeff. You will not be disappointed.
