This is a family business run by three brothers who are all friendly and knowledgeable. I needed the job done by a certain date. The rainy weather provided complications but, with a little reminding, they were able to meet the date. The prep and painting were well done, the site was kept tidy. I am pleased with the work. I chose this company for their professionalism but also for their ability to include carpentry. Because they are skilled in both painting and carpentry, I was able to simply rely on one company to do everything. I needed that piece of mind after many bad experiences with contractors.

The carpentry is beautifully done. The window and door were created from stock lumber, and have attractive details that match the rest of the shed. The joints are well fitted. I am amazed and pleased with the work.

The quote was timely. The work was done per the quote. Our area has had a lot of rain, still the schedule was kept. On number of days a lot of help was brought in to keep to the schedule. The owners were polite and helpful. Excellent customer service. Over all I was pleased with their work.

It was an excellent experience. They recommended a different finish than we originally planned and painted some wood work that was in very bad shape. Their recommendations were the best approach. They started and finished on the agreed dates. The workmen were neat and cleaned up after work daily. They moved all furniture out of the way, and then returned it to the original location after the painting was finished. The finish was excellent, and there were no spills or overlaps at corners. The rooms now look like new.

Everyone I spoke with here was very professional. It took a long time to get the appointment & quote (about a month) though, & by the time I'd received the quote, I had already found someone & the work was already completed. I'm sure these guys do great work, but it took an extremely long time (from my call to receipt of the quote) to get numbers- approximately 1 & 1/2 months- & the quote didn't even commit to labor (only an estimate). Also, the price was pretty high for materials, the price I was quoted on materials alone was 10% higher than what I paid for materials & labor on my final decision. I'd like to do work with these guys in the future, but the price/timing will have to be more competitive. The final price would have been 40% higher than what I paid to complete this with another contractor.

We have a Queen Ann style home cica 1900. We bought the home 3 years ago and were happy when the builder finally left after he finished painting the front upper and lower porches. Problem was-the paint job was so bad on the rails and balusters that it began peeling off 6 months later. Then the mouldings on some of the posts rotted away-especially on the upper porch. I interviewed at least 6 companies and choose Socelvic. People are stopping us on the street and commenting on how beautiful the house looks. It was a pleasure to work with all 3 Socelvic sons and the workman were quiet, respectful and very professional. Some of the carpentry that they had completed got wet and ruined in that bad rainstorm a few weeks ago. They would not apply the paint until the carpentry (a few pieces of moulding) got re-replaced. Then they replaced it without a labor charge. Most of all- absolutely beautiful work. Not easy to find--knowledgeable, reasonably priced and very dedicated professionals.

Responded promptly to my request for quote. Started work soon after. Performed excellent job, quickly and efficiently. My one suggestion is that, as a small business themselves, they support other local small businesses by purchasing their stock from local lumber yards rather than from big box stores.

Alex made a thorough assessment of my 105-year old, oversize Victorian. It needed both exterior painting and minimal carpentry. He was polite, professional, prompt at the appointment; a little slow in sending estimate. This was higher than I expected, given other bids, and presented in a needessly elaborate booklet. I emailed him, asking a reduced price, particularly for carpentry. Tho he made a concession, his price was still $4000 higher than I will pay another firm that's equally experienced/recommended.

He did called back and come out. He did wait 2 or 3 weeks to send the estimate. I would hire him again with a re-estimate.

I am delighted with both the quality of their work, & with the value for the money that this company offers. I am sure that I could have easily paid twice as much, & not gotten any better. Everyone was very professional, & a pleasure to work with. The quality of their work is outstanding & they were very helpful in making suggestions about how to do the jobs. They respected that I was on a budget, but still wanted good results; not an easy combination to work with! They have my highest recommendation!

We were extremely pleased with the work done while we were away on vacation. Allesandro and Alex were both professional, dependable and easy to communicate with. Before finishing the upstairs painting they wanted to make sure there were no problems with ceiling leaks before they began that phase of the painting. The crew that came later to finish up were hard-working, neat and pleasant. Have arranged for the company to do some exterior painting and repair as well. I would definitely recommend them.

The Socelvic Company were very good to work with. They completed 3 rooms including new ceilings in just a bout a week. They were on time and worked a full day Saturday to get the job done on time. The crew chiefs were great and kept me informed with what they were doing. They cleaned up every day. The work looks 100 times better than before. I'll call them back next year to work on other rooms.

This is a family owned business, and they really strive to please the customer. They arrived on time, the crew was polite and completely professional. They did an excellent job and cleaned up completely each day. The pricing was fair, and my house has never received such a fabulous paint job. I would use them again for all my painting needs and recommend them unequivocally.

Alex, the foreman, was very professional, straightforward, & honest. He gave a thorough & complete estimate, started the work promptly, answered my phone calls, & communicated with me regularly to make sure I was satisfied. All the men worked joyfully, never stopping except for lunch by the clock. They came on time every day, no excuses. They were respectful, professional, & open-heartedly tended to any surprises. They were neat & cleaned up as they went along. The speed at which this all happened was mind blowing. (My prior experience with contractors was that they often don't show up & don't call, & the project drags on & on.) Socelvic Company was one pointed, efficient, & finished before expectation. The quality of their work is exceptional & well worth the cost. I would hire them again myself & highly recommend them to anyone.

Very responsive and accommodating. Price was more than we wanted to pay but was fair considering age and condition of kitchen.

Alex the job foreman was very professional, honest, courteous and managed the job to completion on time. He made sure his workers were always on time, and performed their duties as expected. They were also professional and always took the necessary precautions not to damage my property. Their job was competitively priced and the results were so much more than I expected. I would highly recommend this company.

Celio, and his crew have done work for us many times before, and are always polite, prompt, and keep the work areas very clean. The painting is precise, and they are always responsive to our questions, and directions. Will use them again!

They told me they don't really do roofing, that I should call a number and ask for Heleno. The name rang a bell, turns out the number is for Olive Tree roofing (also on The List).

THE PAINTERS WERE POLITE, PUNCTUAL, AND RESPONSIVE TO ALL OUR SUGGESTIONS AND REQUESTS. WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH THE JOB.

CARLOS, THE JOB SUPERVISOR WAS PROFESSIONAL, ATTENTIVE AND A PLEASURE TO WORK WITH. WAS ON TIME AND WORKED EVERY DAY UNTIL JOB WAS DONE. WAS AVAILABLE TO SPEAK WITH ME ON VARIOUS QUESTIONS AND REQUESTS. LEFT THE WORK AREAS IN GOOD SHAPE (FOR A PAINT JOB) AND CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. DID A NICE JOB REMOVING OLD PAINT AND SANDING THE HOUSE AND GARAGE. USED OIL BASED PRIMER AND TWO COATS OF LATEX. CARLOS WAS GOOD ENOUGH TO PUT ON A THIRD COAT ON ONE PART OF THE HOUSE THAT NEEDED A BIT MORE PAINT. WAS HAPPY WITH THE DECK WORK, ALTHOUGH ONE OR TWO SMALL AREAS WAS NOT THE SAME COLOR AS THE REST OF THE WOOD FLOOR BUT NOT A BIG DEAL. OVERALL, THE QUALITY OF THE JOB WAS EXCELLENT AND THE PRICE WAS AFFORDABLE.
