First, I do not live in Krotz Springs where I built this house. I live 150 miles away. As of 28 April, the installation work is complete. The warranty work is incomplete. I went to Lowes in November 2014 to have a guaranteed installation due to horrible experiences I had with finding reliable people to do the interior work on my new home. Companies from Lafayette and Baton Rouge all declined to travel to Krotz Springs. So ... The sales person I wanted was Tammy Doucet who was hard to make contact with at Lowes. Her scheduled hours were either sporadic or she was assigned to appliances. A semi-custom kitchen layout takes several very long sessions to finalize. I had to call many times to follow-up on my rebate which was about to expire. I eventually called the store manager who did resolve and guarantee the 10% store credit I was due. The original order had to be re-ordered which caused a delay in receipt and a delayed rescheduled installation date. The Installation Manager (Shala Greene) did not follow-up on the initial measurement survey. I had to call several times to get a date. Two very young boys showed up. One was the son of the fence installer who is Lowe's cabinet installer. They did not really know what they were doing. To remedy this awful situation, the sales person asked a special favor of a professional cabinet installer. He had stopped doing installation work for the Opelousas Lowe's because of poor coordination from the Installation Manager. More parts needed to ordered for the installation man to finish my cabinets. These parts fell into a black hole. I called the Instal Manager at Lowe's who quickly responded that she thought the job was done. I asked her who told her that? Several more days elapsed and I called the store's Assistant Manager who took my information and lo and behold, the sales person was the one who called me to explain when my cabinet work was scheduled to be completed. I explained to her that minor flaws of peeling white paint had developed. The cabinet installer did arrange a date and I met him at the new house. He installed the needed material to close the gaps on my upper cabinets and surveyed the paint flakes at the bottom of the refrigerator surround cabinet. He said he needed to order more parts and come back. And that is where it is as I April 28, 2015. Unfinished and no follow-up phone calls or call-backs from request messages I left with the Missing In Action, Installation Manager, Shala Greene.
