GEORGE'S PLUMBING

My Rheem Water Heater was not producing hot water so I called several other plumbers and was told the wait would anywhere from a week to three weeks. George's Plumbing sent someone out by 2:00 pm the day I called. They checked the Heater and called around no one had the part said they would have Mike call me back. Mike not only called me back but he was familiar with the product and its problems he coached through calling the manufacturer and getting them to replace the whole unit at their costs knowing they would send their people and he would not be needed. That is knowledgeable customer service !! I have a few small jobs that I need done soon and I will be calling George's.

So back on June 26, 2017 George's plumbing came out to check on a leak from my shower that was leaking into my closet. I was contacted prior to the service call and was told their best guy would be coming out to check on the situation. He was the most senior person they had and if he couldn't fix it, then it couldn't be fixed. He came out and looked for about 5 mins at the several knobs I have that control side jets, rain shower and handle sprayer and couldn't identify the name brand of my shower system. He didn't bother to see where the leak might be coming from or take off any of the handles to even look in the valves. He left and said he would write up a proposal to fix it. Turns out that proposal was to replace the whole system at a cost of $3000. Since then i have had several other plumbers come out to give quotes on replacing the whole system since that's what I was told needed to be done and I wanted to make sure $3000 was a fair quote. Then one plumber finally asked "why are you replacing this?" and he took a few minutes found the problem very quickly. He Identified the manufacture of the system as Legacy Brass, took out two valve stems to inspect and found that the leak was coming from a bad solder T in the wall.. Fixed that up real quick and literally saved my thousands of dollars. As for George's master plumber.. I understand companies want to make money, but by not doing his due diligence in even looking for the actual problem, he tarnishes the reputation of himself and his employer. Everything was fine and I paid them on time. Then a couple of times the plumber just didn't show up. So I went elsewhere.

They did a great job. They were very professional, courteous and did what they said they would do. It was done fine.

Did the work quickly, quietly, and cleanly. Looked at other problems we had and did a small job at no additional cost beyond initial estimate.

He came out when he said he would. It was a Saturday, so work was expensive. It was sort of an emergency. I have used him in the past too. His price was in accordance with his quote. He was wearing a uniform. He was driving a truck and he identified himself.

I have been using them for so long, I can always count on them to come quickly if I have an emergency. I prefer to use Ric and I just like his personality. He's an older man and he has been in the plumbing business for many, many years. He only does what is necessary, he doesn't try to talk me into unnecessary things. He only does what is required with out trying to sell me something else.

They do very good work. If I had a bigger job needed, I would trust them to do the work. If you are an established customer, you will hear back from them immediately. If you are a new customer, you may have to wait for a bit before they can get back to you. Also, a lot of plumbers don't like to deal with older plumbing I think, but this company will always try to repair if they can before they replace.
