Description of Work: leased apartment from them. They were great. Reviewed application and contacted me and set up appointments right away. I knew immediately after talking with them that they provided excellent customer service and was very impressed. I would recommend them to anyone looking for an apartment.

Awful, DO NOT USE. I'm frustrated that I joined Angie's List to find a rental company and then was guided to this company. The reason I found out someone had rented out my house was because I was listing it for sale after there were no renters for months and the realtor told me people were living in my house. I called the rental company and they lied about the situation telling me the renters had moved in just a few days prior to me calling. I called the utility companies and they had actually moved in a week prior. Their handy men also told me I had thousands of dollars of damage to my plumbing, but due to my distrust of the company I had my own plumber come out who told me exactly what the problem was and had an easy fix. DO NOT USE. I would have been better off just taking the loss of the mortgage instead of dealing with all the trouble and stress this company caused me. Luckily the renters were actually great and took excellent care of the house.

Perhaps we may rate our experience when dealing with this property owner to warn other service providers to beware. And have a little fun in doing so... Overall: F Comprehension: F Understanding: F Belligerence: F Professionalism: F Maturity: F Thank goodness there is another side to this story. A rare example of failed expectations coupled with a complete and total unwillingness to see it any other way. After signing the management agreement to this vacant property we promptly moved in a well qualified and thoroughly screened month-to-month tenant at the owners request. "When signing over your property to this management company we really will move a tenant into your home." How the owner made this out to be a bad thing we will never know. We did in fact notify the owner within a few days of the tenants taking possession however the owner made the assumption that the utility transfer date and move in occurred on the same day which is where the train left the tracks for them. The utilities were transferred nearly a week prior and the move in was delayed due to poor winter weather. Concerning the plumbing issues: The owner asked us to perform a maintenance inspection/assessment of the property so that it could be ready to sell. We did so as a courtesy and charged a fair price for the service call. As a result of this inspection, it was recommended that a Plumbing Company look at the basement bathroom and kitchen due to a clogged floor drain and leaking bathroom fixture. It was politely recommended that a certified Master Plumber diagnose and correct the issues. Repairs could have been costly however it was discovered that an easy fix was the best solution. At no time did we offer to repair or make any estimates for plumbing work. The tenant occupied the home for two months and paid $3,190.00 in rent with a $1,300.00 security deposit. The property owner was charged $250.00 leasing fee and $89.00 in commissions. At the conclusion of the month to month agreement we performed a move out inspection which was satisfactory allowing a full reimbursement of the security deposit to the tenant. It was an easy transaction with no issues. After the transaction was complete we learned for the first time that the property owner was upset after reading her review. Every attempt was made to contact the owner and resolve the issues without success. We do a great job of screening our tenants but apparently a horrible job of screening our property owners. We have gotten good tenants and they have paid every month. They charge about 7% of the monthly rate. They have it set-up easy for you to see what is going on, and also for the tenants it is easy. They have been very flexible. They get us a monthly statement with any work orders needed for the property, and they give us options on how to approach it. The services they use are fair on the price to replace/repair anything necessary.

It was a breeze working with them. They were very patient working with me. They got me the right person with a good 2 year lease on the property. We will continue using them, and I would definitely recommend them. They charge 7% off the monthly rent. I have no problems with them at all. It has been fantastic to work with them.

Check Property Group has done an excellent job in managing my property. When I contracted with them, tenants were already in my rental home through another management group who decided to no longer perform those services. At the end of the tenants lease, they moved - better said abandoned their personal property and left the home in a total disaster. Check Property immediately contacted me regarding the condition of the property. As they made their assessment they kept me fully statused on everything . The amount of work involved to get the home back into a livable state was huge. They first provided me with details on what needed to be cleaned out before they could begin the process of fixing up the place. And, then they provided the information on what needed to be replaced and/or fixed, approximate cost, and timeframe on how long the home would possibly be unoccupied in order to perform the work. Throughout the whole experience Check Property did an outstanding job. I never at any time felt that I did not know what was going on (even though I live approx. 600 miles away from the rental home). After the work was completed, Check Property provided me with Before/After pictures. I could not believe my eyes in looking at the Before pictures. The After pictures are outstanding. They did such a wonderful job with the painting, selecting new carpet and vinyl, refinishing hardware floors, painting kitchen cabinets, replacing toilets and fixtures and many, many other repairs. The work they performed actually gives the home a fresh and updated look. I am extremely pleased with the services they provide, their level of professionalism, and the care given in restoring my home to a livable and updated state.
