Handyman Connection - Lexington

It went wonderful Bob was prompt, he brought the parts and completed the job and I was pleased.

The guy we got was really good but we didn't like a couple of his workers. One of them was on drugs and stole something from us.

We have used them several times over the years. The work was always turned out fine.

I have always found them to be pretty good. They came, did the work and left. I like it when some company comes down, does what it supposed to and leaves. They were quick and efficient. I would tell the other members that Handyman Connection work by the contract. The price was probably on the high end of what it should cost. I went ahead and paid it. I probably could have got it done cheaper by somebody else. The quality was great.

They had a person out quickly and inturn, completed the job quickly. Would definitley use them again.

Easy experience. My date of service above is approximate. I wasn't able to be at home when they came. I gave my credit card information to Cathy in their office who said my card would be charged after the work was done. They came while I was at work, did the gutters, left no trash or trace they'd been there. They were very easy to work with, and are going to give me another estimate on a different job. I'd had several bad experiences trying to find a gutter cleaning company with people not responding, until I thought of calling Handyman Connection. I was pleased I did.

I used them just one time. The grout repair was not satisfactory. The floor repair and painting were okay.

The rapid response, reasonable price and professionalism of the repairman was outstanding. Highly recommend.

28 Aug, Ray called at 0900 and said he had an estimate first thing but would be at my house by 10:30am. Ray showed at 10:15. I told him i had a phy therapy appt but lets do a walk around for what he was to do. We discussed the door and chandelier was done so could he paint the chair rail and below in a study instead. He agreed. He said he had to go to lowes to get the carpet thing to stretch the carpet. He left and returned. I left for my appt at 11:30. I got a text from my husband saying he caught the handyman in our freezer in the garage; for me to come home. I left my appt early getting home at 1:30pm. My husband was leaving for work. I did not mention to Ray my husband notified me of what happened. Ray had tacked the carpet, caulked 12ft of moulding and base shoe and painted the study below the chair rail. I Looked into the room I asked Ray how many coats did he paint? I could see the measurement markings on the wall and the previous color from before. I also said i thought he would have caulked the boxes before painting. Did he paint the doors, he said yes. He said let me get my caulk. He was in the room 20mins at best. The carpenter was still working on the steps. Ray said he would come back to paint the steps. I agreed. I asked are you painting the mauling and base in the great room he said he would paint that when he returned. He said I will take $100 off your bill until I return and finish the job. I agreed. I wrote him a check for $305. After the contractor left I looked in the study he had done nothing, i closed the doors in the room were not painted either. I was upset. I started taping the rooms to paint myself when my husband arrived home. He asked what time did Ray leave, I said around 2:45,3:00. He said what did you pay I told him he said call tomor morning, $305 is too much to pay; he was late, left, returned and sat in his car for an hour after I caught him in the freezer. 29 Aug @ 8:07, I called handyman connection, Lexington, ky. I initially spoke with Cathy. I told her what happened yesterday. I asked if Ray could return and paint room. She said she would call him. I called back at 2:30pm, asked Cathy if she had spoken to Ray as I had nit heard from him. She told me to hold. Pete answered. I explained what happen and asked if Ray could come and paint room; the $305 was too much to pay upfront for what he had done. We went back and forth. Ray admitted going in freezer to put in his purchased drinks but Ray was a professional painter. I told him I agreed, I had gave him an excellent rating when he had painted for me a couple months ago. He or Cathy could come see what Ray had actually painted. He told me he and Cathy are not professional painters. I said but he works fir you. He mentioned Ray did not want to return. I told him I would put A hold on my check and send him a check for what we thought was fair. He told me he would charge me for the bank fees, I told him I will pay for what work Ray had completed and when he returns I will pay the balance. This is our 4th house and have had numerous renovations. He mentioned that the contract was estimated for work, I agreed, but Ray didn't complete the work. Pete said well if you stop the check you didn't pay for anything. I told him I will send a check for what Ray had done. He asked what I thought was fair, I told him $150, when Ray returned I would pay the balance. Sometime doing the conversation I said he was unprofessional. At this point I was frustrated and even more upset.

Someone named Mike was supposed to show up at 3PM to give me an estimate on repair work. He never showed up and never called to cancel or reschedule the appointment.

It went well. He fixed it so that we would not have to replace the entire door and runner. It took about an hour and a half to finish. We still have to be careful when we open it.I will use Steve Richie again.

The "handyman" was very professional and extremely neat. we were very pleased with his work, professionalism and personality.

They were prompt and on time. They gave an estimate the end of April for the job. The gentleman who came worked diligently. We paid for the supplies. They also gave us a 10% senior discount. They were professional and knowledgeable. They stayed with the job until it was done.

There was nothing exceptional about the work that they did. I think their pricing was decent. They were professional.

They have replaced a vanity in my half bath and cut out some drywall.

I've done well with him and he's done everything that I've asked for. I've had no problems at all. It was all good.

Everything went well. They did a good job at a reasonable price.

Overall the project went very well. Roland did the work in the time expected. He took the two cabinet doors home to work on them over-night. He removed the existing apartment size dishwasher and we put it on the curb. He inspect the electrical and the plumbing. He gave me a shopping list for the electric and plumbing. He enlarged the opening to fit the new dishwasher. He install the new dishwasher including the electric and the plumbing.

They were very nice on the phone and got me scheduled right away. Unfortunately, the gentleman contracted to do the work had written down 10:00 instead of 9:00. This did cause me problems as I had to take time off of work to meet him. However, he was very nice and did excellent work once he got here and at a reasonable price. I wouldn't hesitate to use this company again.

Everything was fine except they didn't clean up after themselves when they finished cleaning the gutters. I wasn't expecting that I'd have to clean up the area after they finished the project.

I hired a handyman to replace grout and caulking. Handyman was a no show and no call with our appointment. Handyman service center was unaware he didn't show. He did show up on a reschedule and did a decent job.

I had some cabinets that had pulled loose from the wall in my business. I called Handyman Connection and they were there quickly. They installed the new cabinets in a short period of time and left my business cleaner than they found it. Using them again at my home to finish a deck.

They were very good and prompt. The carpenter in particular was very good.

Roger (859-270-0452) performed the work. Work quality was excellent and timely. We were very pleased and would use him again without reservation.

Estimator would not focus and stayed and stayed--a little creepy. And the price quoted was double what others quoted. And I never even received a quote from the big project I really wanted to do. A HUGE waste of 2 hours.
