"This response is late by a few years but I only recently became aware of the review. We were open on Saturdays for many years but eventually concluded that on Saturdays we just were not selling enough to cover the expenses so we we changed hours over an extended period to the current weekday schedule. For many common healthcare products the Big Box companies or drug stores are readily available with their near 24/7 presence. Their prices are good for their limited inventory of healthcare items, but they keep maybe only the top 5-10% of the 10,000 items that we stock and sell and most of them don't know a colostomy from a catheter. As a small, independent, specialized supplier (focusing mainly on professional providers and non-insured items for consumers) in a reforming and consolidating industry, we are required to daily balance the financial realities and customer expectations and that is a challenging process. We do have web site for ordering though that doesn't fully address this issue of course. There are very few full line medical products distributors left in the country that also sell to the public and we are the only one left in KY, which is unfortunate, but we have considered expanded hours over the years and never been able to get the numbers to add up with enough incremental business to be profitable for us. We are sorry for that, but there is not much we have been able to figure out as an alternative."
