It didn’t. I bought the warranty on a recliner I bought there and when a bar broke under it I called for service they said it doesn’t cover that so $ waisted. I actually looked at a TempurPedic bed and a living room suit there and after I called about the chair and wouldn’t repair it I’m just so thankful I didn’t buy from Ashley and I was so close to buying over $10,000 worth goods. And another issue is their 0% financing scam is just that and was another reason, the longer you finance you actually pay more for the furniture. It might actually be 0% financing but they gave me higher furniture prices the longer you finance. I did eventually buy my TempurPedic bed and living room suit and got a true 0% financing and paid much less for my split king adjustable base with the Elite mattress bed so I guess that $95 I lost actually saved me $1400 Plus. Anyway I will say the salesperson and others in the store were nice and don’t make all the rules but this was my experience and when you put a $600 chair that’s around a year old on a curb because the warranty you buy is no good does make you think before buying again.

Description of Work: It's too lengthy to write in here all the problems we have had with Ashley's. Bottom line- We purchased furniture in October 2014 and we are still waiting on furniture to be delivered on March 31 2015. |After purchasing, the store refers you to the customer service line and the customer service line refers you to the store. It's total chaos with no one in a managerial capability to step it and resolve issues. It's extremely frustrating. We had to cancel part of our order and go to Furniture World and they were AMAZING! Great customer service over there. | |If I had to do it all over again- we wouldn't go to Ashleys.

Description of Work: I bought the extended warranty on what I was told was a leather living room set. I was also told by Ashley Furniture that it would repaired even if I cut it with a screwdriver in my back pocket. When the leather started to peel after 18 months they said it was normal wear and was not covered. After three years I set it on the curb.

Description of Work: We purchased a couch and loveseat at the end of August. Their computers and printers were not working on the date of purchase. We were told that we would receive a call on August 27 to schedule delivery, and that we would received paperwork within a few days. | |When we called on August 27, we were told the items were not in stock and it would be October 2 before Ashley could let us know a delivery date. When we told them that was not acceptable and asked to cancel the order, we were told we had to speak to a manager. We were promised the manager would call within 24-36 hours. That did not happen. Nor did the manager return any of the several calls we made over the next few days. | |The paperwork did not show up until about 10 days after the purchase. | |We finally had to go through Ashley's national headquarters. After a couple of attempts there, we were contacted by someone who had the authority to cancel the order, and did so. That was the only person who acted professionally the entire time we dealt with the company. | |We liked the furniture. But the service experience was miserable. I understand that the Lexington, KY. store is independently owned and operated. Other Ashley stores may be better, but I will not deal with the Lexington store again.

Our experience in the store was ok. We selected a bed and the sales person "upsold" us on a storage foot board. When we checked out she asked us if we needed to purchase a mattress... we told her no, that we had just ordered a new mattress and box springs from another business, and proceeded to schedule the bed delivery around the mattress delivery. When it was all set up, the bed was like a freaking tree house. Why? Because the storage footboard does not need a box springs!!!! Sure would have been nice to have been told that. Not only that, when I called, I had to fight them to get the regular footboard delivered and they would do no better than to give me a store credit (that I will likely never use) . Fast forward 11 months.. and the bed breaks! Seriously! it threw me in the floor. The side rails, which bear all of the weight are made of particle board covered with a wood veneer. I specifically asked them about the material when we purchased it and we were told it was all wood, no particle board. The slats and mattress rest on a wood lip that is screwed into the particle board. Two of the screws completely ripped through the particle board. Luckily, it was less than a year since we purchased it. I called to get service and was told they would ship a new side rail and it should arrive in about 2 weeks. It's now been three weeks and I've been told it isn't scheduled to be shipped unitl the week of July 2. That's another 2-3 weeks. I'm not at all convinced that I'm not going to have this problem again. In fact, I'm considering trashing the foot and side rails and just getting a regular bed frame to use with the head board. I won't be purchasing any more furniture from Ashleys.

Upon walking in the store, a salesperson greeted us and let us know about the sale going on and her name. Then allowed us to roam the store by ourselves. Really liked their furniture choices. When we found what we wanted, tracked down our salesperson to order. She was professional and helpful. Offered and explained protection plan; which we never purchase these plans, but Ashley's was too good & affordable to pass up. Ordered and paid for furniture, which was to take 2-3 weeks to come in. Two days before the 3-week mark, they called to schedule delivery. Delivery was post-poned twice due to the recurring snowfall. On the third attempt, they hadn't called to tell me when they were coming, so I called. They were to arrive in a time-frame that was half an hour later! Had to rush to clean up & clear the area (hadn't done it since who knew when they'd get here - it had already been several days). Delivery guys were professional and made the job & set-up look easy. No damage to furniture or my house with their arrival or departure. They removed all debris.
