The tension spring for my garage door broke and I needed to get it replaced ASAP. AFFORDABLE OVERHEAD DOOR was well rated by Angie's List, so I gave them a call. They were able to get out there and resolve my issue quickly and professionally. |I would use them again and would recommend them to anyone needing garage door work.

Our garage door was not working at all this morning. Once I saw their Angies List rating, I called and scheduled an appointment. Surprisingly they had availability today. The service tech called in the afternoon to let us know he was on his way. He recognized what the problem was as soon as he arrived, which was two broken torsion springs. He fixed both of them very quickly and professionally. Very happy with the service. We will definitely call them again.

When I couldn't open my garage door this morning, I checked Angie's List for a company. Affordable Overhead Door had good reviews and I liked that they are a family-owned business. I called and talked with John. He gave me an approximate time frame and called when he and Eric were on their way, giving me plenty of notice. John immediately spotted the problem, a broken torsion spring. He and Eric replaced both springs as the door was older and both springs were likely originals. Then they checked out the rest of the door and track, cleaning and lubricating it. The door is much quieter now than it has been in a long time. John let me know that the rollers were worn, but didn't need to be replaced yet. I appreciated his honesty. When it's time to replace them, I will call Affordable Overhead Door to do the job. I did mention I found them on Angie's List and received a 10% discount on the service call fee.

They did a great job. We have a garage door opener called the Genie and instead of being in the middle of the door, it runs up the track. Very few people know how to do anything with them, but they know it. They gave us maintenance tips of how to take care of my doors. They are really professional and they always call before they come out.

Spring broke on garage door and I was unable to open door to leave house. They came quickly and handled the problem quickly and easily and in a very professional manner. I would definitely use them again.

The torsion spring broke on one of our garage doors. I called in the morning for a quote and to schedule an appointment; they said they could come that afternoon. Since we have two garage doors, and both had original springs (12 years old), we replaced both torsion springs to save another service call later, since they were both on borrowed time. Quote to repair/replace one spring was $155 or $225 for two ($85 service call + $70 for each spring). A two man team arrived around 6:30pm. We were the last appointment of the day. They looked tired, and although they didn't say anything, I assume they were overbooked, so I appreciated them for honoring their same day service commitment. Even so late in the day, they were polite and professional. Both springs were replaced in 20 minutes. A 10% deduction was given for being an Angie's List member. I would contact them again for garage door service.

They renailed the board, lubricated the rollers, adjusted the rails and recalibrated the garage door opener. The garage door opens and closes better and quieter than it did when we first moved in. They arrived quickly, were extremely polite and did an excellent job overall. Should I need service for my garage door or opener again, I will definitely call them. I was 100% pleased with this company

They were okay. They did it while I was away and were finished when I got there. The pricing was okay and the quality looks good to me.

Looking for a good deal on a garage door and garage door opener. We went to the big named ones (about 6). We had some sticker shock. My mom was telling someone and she said they got theirs from Afforable Overhead Door. We called and set an appt. They arrived promptly. Even came to you house with samples to look at and brochures. Very experienced and we learned a lot. Total for a insulated door with 4 windows in them and a new door opener was much less and what we could affordable!!! Came in two days and installed. cleaned up their mess and took the old stuff away

They did an excellent job and were very responsive. I called the office and within an hour they were at my door. The guys had to custom make my spring due to it's age. The woman who answers the phone will ask you when you need the service, and I told her right away because the door wouldn't open. Again, they showed up an hour later. This company seems to care about their customers.

I called Affordable Overhead Door in the morning on 1/3/11 and they informed me that they would be available in the early afternoon to do the repair. I received a call from the company about 1-2 hours prior to their arrival to confirm that I was home. The installer/repair person, John Clementson, was friendly, punctual, and professional. John confirmed the broken spring and said that he would have it replaced quickly. John had the old spring replaced in very short time and the garage door works fine with my existing garage door opener. John politely asked if he could borrow my step ladder and when finished, he neatly placed back in the garage along with taking the broken spring away (the house was left as it was before he arrived). Also, at the time of making the appointment, I informed them that I'm an Angie's List member and I received a 10% discount off my total bill. Overall, I was very pleased with the service that I received and I would use the Affordable Overhead Door Company again for repairs and new installs.

The garage door would not go down, even when detached from the opener. I called Affordable Overhead Door Co. on Monday morning and he was there before noon. It had appeared to be a broken cable but actually both cables had just come off. They fixed it immediately, made adjustments; it as better than before. The only charge was for the service call but as I mentioned Angie's List when I called we received the 10% discount. Very professional. I could not be more pleased.
