River city did a fantastic job for us. Everyone was friendly and professional. Jim came and gave an estimate and also was the one who oversaw the job. Him and his team were determined to ensure everything was done perfectly and they delivered:

They did a fabulous job on the paint and we can't believe the change with the brick sealing makes the whole house look brand new

We used different colors of paint on different walls and a clear matte strip horizontally on each wall where the wall words were installed.  The did a wonderful job!

Several years ago this company painted the outside of our house. We we so pleased with their work, we used them again to do this interior painting. In most of the rooms I had a pretty idea what color I wanted but for the ones where I was unsure, they gave me some good advice. The results are really nice. They even came back and repainted a room with a different color when I realized the first color I'd picked wasn't what I wanted. The second color is dramatic and we love it.
The painters were very pleasant to work with. They accommodated several requests I had that were probably no usual. They showed up on time, worked efficiently and did their best to stay out of our way (that being really hard to do since so much furniture had to be moved). They were very careful when moving things and as far as I can tell the only thing that got broken was a small glass that I broke while trying to be helpful. I learned it was better to let them do the moving, except when they asked me to take care of the most fragile things.

They took the 6 exterior doors to their shop to paint them. They are steel 6-panel doors, except two that are steel on the outside and wood on the inside, so that spraying was recommended rather than brushing or rolling. The 2 doors that are wood on one side and steel on the other did get done almost correctly, color-wise. The wood stain is much darker and redder than I had specified. I had given them a sample of the wood floor to use as a color guide and told them to match the lightest shade and clearly pointed it out to Tony Lench, who was responsible for the project. Of the other four doors, seven of the eight sides were painted the wrong colors. They used the exterior yellow on the interior sides, and the interior colors on the exterior on 3 of them and the wrong color on the inside of the fourth. This was just before Thanksgiving 2010 and it was cold and we only had storm doors on two of the openings and plywood over the garage door opening, while the doors were being painted and drying over a four day period. Not what could be considered secure or warm! I had a carpenter crew on hand to install three doors and rehang the other three and a locksmith crew on hand to mount the new hardware and locks as soon as the doors were delivered. The three doors had been rehung before I even noticed that they were painted the wrong colors. I was trying to stay out of the way of the workers because I knew they were going to have a long day of it. Plus all these exterior doors were open in the cold weather while they worked. Tony assured me that they could and would repaint the doors in place with the hardware on and that it would look fine. I had the guys leave on the old kitchen door so that at least that one could be resprayed at the shop before the hardware was added. They repainted one of the doors in place and it looked like the dickens - stippled and dimpled like a waffle, not a nice finish for an expensive door! So, they took the doors off again and resprayed them at the shop, leaving us in the same cold and unsecured situation we had been in before. But at least they finally got done correctly, except for the garage door which I'll just put up with being the wrong color on the inside rather than having to nail plywood over it again! The two interior doors fared better but did require repainting because of too obvious imperfections. They did redo them readily and willingly. The exterior painting on the brick and trim went smoothly. No complaints. The staining of the new bow window interior is what has pushed me over the edge to write this whole review. The first time they did it, there was one spot, center and front on the deep bow window sill, that was way lighter than the rest and with a dull finish. The rest was pretty glossy. Tony came himself and tried to "fix" it. He told me to let it sit a few hours and just wipe it down. It was wet when he left. Hours later and it had not dried at all. I touched it and realized it was just Liquid Gold he had coated it with. I wiped it with a clean cloth and hoped for the best. The problem spot just looked much worse than it had! Like spilled water spots had raised the grain or something, foggy looking smudges and spots. So he sent his guy out to sand the whole sill and start over. Which has been done now going on a month and LOOKS BAD, not just in the one spot, but ALL OVER! Terribly uneven texture finish, even rough to the touch, not just to the eye. I paid the last $885 on March 10 after Tony had "fixed" the small bad spot. Bill paid in full. I have called him at least four times since the complete redo of the sill. He has not answered the phone nor responded to my messages. Needless to say, I have little to say in favor of River City Painting or their crew.
Response from River City Painting, Inc
"Obviously I have tried to help this client according to the clients own words "came out to fix readily and willingly" and do not know what else could be done. I am truly sorry this client feela this way but I have to say we would not be referred by designers as was the case with this client if we did not do quality work and take care of our clients. Thank you Angles list for the opportunity to respond and look forward to more positive reviews in the future."

I used this company because, they were on Angie's List even the I thought the price was a little high. They gave us an estimate with a ten day time frame when they would return. When they came they seemed to be disorganized with not the right tools. They did a good job of painting but, were not very professional.

I used to live in an old ugly two story farm house. The walls were old dark dated paneling, and I just hated them. I always wanted to do something about them, but didn't know what. Everything I thought of was too expensive. My husband and I went to the home show and that is where we met Mr. Lynch. He had a display of wall finishes, and I fell in love with his samples. We made an appointment with him, and he came to our house to give us an estimate and a date to start working on our ugly walls. Mr. Lynch finished our walls in a timely matter, and was very friendly and professional. The walls are now beautiful and I love them. I highly recommend him to anyone who wants their walls done. Mr. Lynch is one of the BEST!!!

I hired River City Paint Company to come in and properly finish the job that was left incomplete at the house I m flipping. From the beginning, Tony Lynch and his crew were eager to make things right for me. At the price I paid, I expected the job to get done. I did not expect the amazing quality they did! The River City Paint guys were extremely professional, considerate, and helpful. They completed more jobs in the allotted time than quoted! Each day I stopped by to see the progress I was overly impressed. I was greeted with a very clean work area, and workers eager and PROUD to show me their progress. At the same time I had the painting crew at the house I had a cleaning lady getting the house ready to sell. Tony's crew extended her every courtesy and even gave her advice on cleaning up paint in areas they had not worked in. I highly recommend River City Paint Company to anyone looking to get the job done right the first time at an incredible price!

Jason was a lot of help with ideas and suggestions for our project, his crew was prompt and courteous. They finished the job in the quoted time, and kept their mess to a minimum.
