SEW EASY SEWING CENTERS

We decided to use this company since we had used them before. Dropped the machine off and waited for call when ready. Machine was ready in about 2 1/2 weeks. After returning home, it was necessary to remove the connector on the end of the electric cord that attaches to the machine to thread it through the hole in the sewing cabinet. After opening the connector and loosening the screws, one of the crimped on electrical connectors literally fell off of the wire! Upon further inspection, none of the 6 wires appeared to be crimped on properly and were a electrical shock / fire hazard in my opinion. I returned the machine to the store and told the clerk about the problem and she said she would call the technician who worked on the machine to come take a look. I'm sure she could tell I was unhappy, but I kept my cool and would not call her demeanor very calming or customer friendly. Out from the back comes the Tech (an older gentlemen with very shaky hands) and we proceeded to disagree on the correct way to crimp the connectors so they wouldn't fall off of the wires. I wish now that I had taken a picture of his lousy work. Anyway, he finally agreed to fix the problem. I asked if the repair (probably a 30 minute job in capable hands) could be done while I was running some errands that morning. I guess that was just too much customer service to ask for and I had to leave the machine again. They called the very next day to pick it up. When I picked it up the second time, a different Tech showed me the now properly crimped on connectors. It appears the other work was done correctly and the machine is running great according to my wife.

I found the staff to be extremely rude. No smiles, no kind words, no helpful attitudes. Brusque, icy and sarcastic. I walked in and was immediately told to "put down your machine and we will be with you shortly". It wasn't a request or a suggestion but an order. I browsed the store for other machines while I was waiting and, when I asked about specific availability, was met with a curt reply "what you see is what we have". Apparently they don't have inventory and their sign saying they are a dealer is completely misleading- even JoAnnn's will order a machine for you and talk to you about machine selection. Most of the machines on the floor are ancient, used and over priced. $499 sticker on a used Singer serger that I could buy for less new- but I guess if you want to finance in house, they will help out. I left and found the part to my machine at JoAnns where they were 100% more helpful and even offered to make sure additional parts weren't needed. Don't waste your time. This felt like a bad used car sales experience.

They repaired 2 and told me the other 2 weren’t worth repairing. They were honest and didn’t over-charge me. They have been in business forever and enjoy doing it.

I love their store because everyone is so friendly. I am not able to remember the name of a beautiful red-headed person who helped me choose a right sewing machine and gave me a follow-up tutorial. One thing I loved aside from supporting independent retailers at Mom & Pop Store is that I can go back forever and they will tutor me on how to use the machine and what I need to do with it. Sometimes, it is hard to get the appointment for the tutorial, but that is only because they are popular and that they do it one on one. They have every supply. They are very honest. They offer their opinions with consumers in the store in addition to representing the store that they work for. I love their customer service, it was great. I do my own costumes; being a professional exotic dancer, I have to do whatever appeals and it is a lot cheaper and I can make my own costumes. I really like the idea of clothing cost wise, producing my own clothes for myself and my husband and haven't achieved that level yet because we have a certain idea of what we are all willing to wear. I am working my way up and I sewing is one way, I love that I can just take those passionate instances and inspiration which gives a little work for me in my everyday life.

CLEANED THE MACHINE AND TUNED IT UP. THEY WERE VERY HELPFUL IN SHOWING HOW TO OPERATE THE MACHINE CORRECTLY.

THEY SAID THE BOARD WAS FINE, BUT CHARGED ME FOR CLEANING THE MACHINE, EVEN THOUGH IT HAD JUST BEEN DONE A WEEK BEFORE BY THE OTHER REPAIRMAN. IT SEWED BETTER FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS, BUT THEN WAS BACK TO THE SAME SEWING PROBLEM. SEW EASY CONSTANTLY TRIED TO SELL ME A NEWER, MORE EXPENSIVE MODEL OF SEWING MACHINE INSTEAD OF FOCUSING ON THE REPAIR OF THE MACHINE I BROUGHT IN. THE PROBLEM WAS NOT CORRECTED, BUT THEY SURELY WANTED TO SELL ME ANOTHER MACHINE TO TAKE CARE OF MY SEWING PROBLEMS.
