The service started in June 2012, and I still have a bathroom that is not yet painted, and they were supposed to paint. I had a wall taken off, and a bar installed, and the counter top has warped and popped off. I have paint that doesn't match, and I have cracks that they didn't fix. The insurance paid for it, and they were paid $90000 for it. The lanolium in my kitchen has popped off. I have a cabinet that I can't use. My whole house looks like crap because of them. They could live up to my contract. The contract ended 2 years after the fire, and we tried and tried to get them out here. We were in a hotel for 3 months, and we came and checked every day, but we hardly found anyone here. I was calling the project manager until October of 2014, and he came and put a key thing, but nobody came.
Description of Work: We had a house fire 2 years ago, and Paul Davis destroyed my home.

The general contractor, the contractor under him and the guys that worked for them were good. I did have a problem with the sanding of my floors. He kept missing places but, he was good. He came back and finished it. He should have slowed down. He did the refinishing of the floors. Other than that they were really good. The quality of the work was good. I thought that the price was a little high. They did correct the vinyl and they were good about responding. Every time I called they were right there. they would call me and schedule with me. They were punctual. I was surprised by the cost. By using the company that the insurance company recommended, I got a year guarantee with it. I would use them again.
Description of Work: Paul Davis Restoration laid a vinyl floor, finished the kitchen floor and painted a ceiling. He fixed some bubbles in the vinyl.

The workmanship is deplorable. They are undependable. They subcontract everything and hire incompetent labor. Our house is not finished yet. I am 3 months away from the 2 year anniversary of my fire and I still don't have my home finished. Once they were paid they were done fixing anything. The microwave is shorting out. The ceiling fan in my son's room doesn't work. I have a wall that is not painted. They were supposed to paint the upstairs half bath (per the inspector from Well's Fargo). This was not done. I have spotty stain on my kitchen cabinets and the sealer on the cabinets is coming off. The trim on my kitchen counter is not even all the way around. Water can get down between the counter and trim. My house was vacant for 3 months and should have been move in ready in September, 2012. We have been back and forth with Paul Davis trying to get this haphazard work corrected ever since. As soon as they were paid we were dropped like a hot potato. I have addressed these concerns with the company with no result (other than a key lock placed on my stair rail on my porch). This I found popped open because of ice and my house key hanging out. I discovered this after being out of town for 10 days. Paul Davis is a bad company to do business with.
Description of Work: Our house caught fire on June 27th, 2012. Paul Davis was the preferred contractor referred to us from State Farm Insurance Company. It took them 3 months to get our house "habitable". We moved back in on September 12, 2012. We have had nothing but problems with their work since we moved back in. The spackling, painting, staining was sloppy. It had to be redone several times. I have one wall that is still not painted right. They cut corners on getting us appliances. The microwave has shorted out less than 2 years after purchase. Linoleum is coming up off the floor, finish is coming off the cabinets. The first contractor quit and we were given another contractor. He was very attentive until they got paid. Now they won't come out for anything. We're still waiting to have the above listed items fixerd.
