I was very impressed. I have to admit that I was a little nervous given that this is a very visible part of the kitchen but Laurie impressed me with her responsiveness, professionalism and flexibility (it was a relatively small job that other remodelers wouldnt' take on) and the guys they sent out did a terrific job. He was very detail oriented, knew what he was doing, asked for my input to get it right and stayed until it was done right. And it cost less than what I was expecting for the job.

I contacted the office because of the quality of the work - there was a visible gap between panelling, one panel in particular was bowing in the middle, the shelf they reinstalled was unstable and visible paint drippings. The handyman was sent back to fix the job without issue but the fact that the handyman felt that it was acceptable quality of work in the first place is probably the most concerning. It by no means looked like a professional had completed the job. Not to mention that this company was over $1k more than the other estimates received. Once someone installed baseboards on the walls with the new panelling they noted they weren't sure about the how new panelling was installed. Overall, the quality of the work is of concern. Meanwhile I had no concerns with the painting that the official painter did.

Chris and Jon arrived right on time and completed both the entry door replacement and overhead light wiring exactly a discussed in the estimate. Very happy with the attention to detail in the finished work. We will be calling them back for future projects.

I had my old ugly mantel removed by another company, and a new wood one installed. But they don't do tile work. (This was after the original company, who was supposed to do the whole project, bailed on me.) Long story. I was having trouble finding someone to do a small tile job and had more false starts. But I finally called this company, and they solved my problem! They sent Jeremy who was very nice and did a great job. He was careful and neat, and the tile job looks great. I live in Gardner, and sometimes have trouble finding people who will come here. But, since they're in Olathe, it's not an issue. I'm a widow and am glad to find a reliable handyman company that I can depend on.

Jeremy was very professions and super nice guy. He communicated when he would be here and he was very prompt. It was a 3 day project due to drywall repair and mudding. Very professional and got back to me right away. Would definitely use again.

A baseboard had warped randomly, without any apparent water damage. Jeremy from Handyman Matters was prompt with communication, reminding me of our appointment the night before and telling me when he was on his way in the morning. Jeremy popped off the damaged baseboard and helped me assess that the damage came from condensation building up on the windows. Jeremey cleaned the mildew, replaced the baseboard, and matched the paint. Jeremy took care of my home well and cleaned up after the job was done throughly. This was the most professional and hassle-free house project that I have ever experienced. I will definitely be working with Handyman Matters in the future and asking for Jeremy.

Jeremy from Handyman Matters came and replaced a few tile pieces in the bathroom and grouted them. He did a great job. Came early and worked in a timely matter. He left the work area very clean. I would recommend them for work in your home and will likely use them again in the future.

EXCELLENT!!! Kyle from Handyman Matters showed up promptly for the 3-day job each day, and led a couple of helpers with the project. The helpers seemed new, but Kyle was seasoned and a TRUE PRO and a perfectionist and wouldn't let them get by with anything less than great. As important as the skill level was the fact that Kyle listened AND paid attention to the quirks of the job and of working in my house, with cats roaming around and my bathroom sink being stopped up with a plumber also on the premises. Hire this company!!! The only thing that could be improved was price ... they are not the cheapest (nor the most expensive). But they are accommodating. All in all ... the price was worth it!!!

HandyMan Matters - Installed Outdoor Security light over Garage Door – Michael 9/10/18 A quality installation of an outdoor security light over our garage door. Michael, service person arrived on time and worked efficiently to remove old fixture and install new security light, adapting to existing wiring and structural configurations to install new security light. Tested new security light and set requested settings. Completed work in a timely manner. Came back later, after buying needed caulking to do needed caulking around light fixture. Timely, Quality, responsible workmanship.

Easy to schedule, great communication, they arrived on time and even showed me exactly what they pulled out of the gutters and where.

Laurel is well organized and they set appointments for estimates and scheduling the work. They were on time and the work was high quality. Handyman Matters sent Garrett to do the work and he worked hard getting everything installed and in working order. Would hire again.

Company was called on Weds and had us set up for the next day. Garrett showed up on time and quickly got to work repairing our leaky toilet. At our request, He replaced the old water line that was leaking, reattached the toilet to the floor as well as all of the parts inside the toilet. In addition, we had some wood subflooring around a second toilet that he removed and replaced. All of this was completed quickly and at a reasonable price. Best of all, I only has to hire one company instead of two. Garrett and Handyman matters are excellent and I will recommend them to everyone.

This is my third experience with Handy Man Matters and the work and quality was excellent. Had a glitch on a wet saw but got a new one on site fast. The technician did a good job on work and kept me informed during the process.

Everything went well. The group had to make several adjustments during the process but took ownership to make sure we were satisfied.

I usually avoid using services for a lot of reasons over the years, but working with Handyman Matters was the best experience I've had. John was on time! The work was done well and exactly like we talked about. Laurel's got a quality business going in my opinion. The next time I need help, I will not hesitate to contact them.

The repair and paint project went well. Chris, the field supervisor gave the original estimate. Chris did the dry repair and supervised the project. He communicated well, called ahead to let me know of exact arrival time and arrived on time. The paint staff, Tony and Kyle were on time, communicated well. All staff adapted to slight changes to the repair and paint project and a few extras for a fair price. Finished the project with extras on time. One extra service was install an exterior security light which included a second try as the 1st light fixture I bought did not fit, a second light fixture was quickly installed. Very good quality work at a good price. I highly recommend and plan to use again, indeed may be my first contact / estimate on any new house projects. Also, Holly in the office was available to answer questions and when I requested proof of their insurance and it was quickly e-mailed to me.

The job ended up being a lot more than originally thought. Once they took off the outer wood they found it was a lot more extensive (but they told me that might happen at the start). It was also delayed a couple of times because of rain. None of that was their fault. The owner called and visited a couple of times because of the delays and the cost change. She was very professional, and again none of that was their fault. Carlos was the lead carpenter, and he did a great job. Not only does it look really good, but they used materials and construction techniques to prevent reoccurrence. I think you can better judge people by how they respond when things don’t go smoothly, and they were great. I will use them again (unfortunately my house is over 90 years old).

The jobs were completed in a timely manner. Both men were professional.

Carlos did an excellent job on the doors and replacing the exhaust fan cover. He was very professional, patient and helpful in solving problems that arose during the job. He discussed them with us and gave us some options that were extremely helpful.

John did an awesome job! He was professional, knowledgeable, quick, kind and trustworthy! The pricing was extremely reasonable! I could not be happier and will definitely use them in the future!
