Crown Painters

His name is Gary Ulmer. The owner was excellent but I can't say as much for his workers because they got paint speckles on my floor when they painted the door jambs and they didn't clean it up. They also put in caulking that they never smoothed. I asked him to come back this year because I am ready for another paint job and he said he would fix that. He was very thorough. For instance we have a family room downstairs and a bedroom upstairs that is really high to paint the eaves that hang out. He took off all the lights and cleaned them inside and outside and rehung them. He even took some of the fixtures that were old and repainted them black and then he put the glass back in without me asking it to be done. I really appreciated that. It has been several years ago when he did that. He goes and gets the paint from the color swatches that I chose. Then his had his boys to come in and do the work. They first washed it down real good and then they scraped off the loose paint. Then they do the windows real good and cleaned them. On that real high end of the house when they painted it he climbed up the ladder and he is probably 50 or 60 years old. He checked four times to make sure that they didn’t leave any streaks. He would climb up and paint a little bit here and there and make sure they got it look exactly right. Anybody that is that thorough is the kind of person I want to do my job. I really appreciate his thoroughness. My relationship with him is great. He usually knows the boys that he has work for him. He is starting to delegate a lot of his work so I'll see how the work goes this year.
