We talked with the Desco sales rep at the Flower and Patio show in Indy and put a down payment of 10% ($160.00) to secure the ''show price.'' After investigating the company more thoroughly we decided not to go with Desco and chose another company with better Angie's List ratings. We also noticed that the company has moved to Fortville and changed their number--seemed a bit fishy to us. We were promised at the Flower and Patio Show that our deposit was totally refundable if we changed our minds. No where did we sign anything saying that our deposit was nonrefundable. We keep calling the company to get our money back. They initially told us on 2 separate occasions that they weren't sure if they could give us our money back. Since that time they have promised to refund it but haven't. We now have our Visa company involved in the dispute to get our deposit back.
Description of Work: They were going to epoxy the floor of our 3 car garage.

A total fiasco. Billed my credit card before job was finished. Repaired the ENTIRE drive and sidewalk WITHOUT any expansion joints. Ran out of material 3 times during the 2-week process creating start/stop lines in the drive. Used no forms to shape the edges and just mushed, free formed the material in place. Claimed the installer was fired. Company came out and dug out the drive AGAIN in the areas to add the expansion joints. STILL missed the MAIN JOINT for the second time in the center of the drive. Areas were used with forms while other areas were not the second time around. Each time the company admitted fault. Sealed the drive in 40 degree weather, no notice nor roped off drive leaving me to drive right through the new material when arriving home. Says they will stand behind the areas without joints. Tried to stop my recovery of funds from the credit card. They failed in both their total workmanship and in stopping the refund. Company was nice, just totally incompetent.
Description of Work: Desco was to replace sections of existing drive and sidewalk with new material and expansion joints. They ended up doing it twice and incorrect both times. Nothing about the job (scheduling, billing, workmanship, communication, etc) was up to par. Failed to seal the drive even after many visits until it was cold and well into the fall. Still missed entire section to the sealing. Completely unacceptable. Fought to stop the refund from VISA but lost. Unfortunate because they have a great product and good prices, just terrible workmanship where it really counts.

THEY PROMISED TO REMOVE ALL CRACKS AND IMPERFECTIONS, THEN ADD FILLER TO MAKE CRACKS AND EXPOSED AGGREGATE DISAPPEAR, THEN APPLY TWO EPOXY COATS AND THEN A LAYER OF CLEAR SEALER. THEY PROMISED WHEN THEY WERE DONE I WOULD HAVE A COMPLETELY SMOOTH AND LEVEL HIGH GLOSS FINISHED FLOOR, BUT I CAN STILL SEE WHERE THE CRACKS WERE. THERE ARE DIMPLES IN VARIOUS AREAS AND SQUEEGEE MARKS. I CALLED TO EXPLAIN I WAS UNHAPPY WITH THE RESULTS, AND THEY HAVE FAILED TO MAKE ANY EFFORT TO RESOLVE THE ISSUES.
