I asked multiple times for a quote to clean my gutters and never recieved one. They showed up while I was gone, and with no notice, to do the work. They did the work and charged me more than another company that I've been using for years (I was trying to get a better price). I won't use them again and could not recommend them.

It went well. All work was done as estimated. Painting was done very well.

They were great! While the work was being completed we had a few additional items come up and they were great with giving a reasonable price and completing the job on time!

I was not home when he was here, but realized that not only were the gutters clean, but also the areas (ground & concrete) under the gutters.

It's been a while since the work was done, so I don't recall all the details. It probably speaks to how simple it was working with this firm. They got the job done without any hassle. I was very satisfied.

My experience with the David Hazen Group was positive. I felt like they really listened. They helped us a lot when we were picking the actual shingles that we were going to use. Jeff was our contact person and he was very professional and personable. He made it a point to be out on the job site and check their work. He checked with me when it was all done. I really appreciated the professionalism.

I am very pleased with their work. They replaced my roof and gutters two years ago and did such an excellent job that I will continue to call them for all my repair needs.

For the gutter cleaning, they called before they came out and came when they promised to. We didn't even have to be home. For the snow removal, while there wasn't much snow last year they cleared the one time we needed it and put down deicer to keep slick spots from forming.

They did a fine job. We have used them before -- and we will use them again

The work was done efficiently and was done exactly as described. Contractor used the products (shingles, gutters, etc.) that we requested. The contractor was sure that all work was completed to our complete satisfaction. We would use this contractor again.

It initially appeared to be a routine job, but there was damage underneath as well. Jeff stood by his original estimate, and did the work in a timely fashion. He was very informative and helpful. He did a great job of matching the shingles to my house which I did not require. I called two other roofers for an estimate and neither one had followed up by the time this job was competed by Jeff. I am very happy with the job and this company would be my first choice in any future job. I will much refer this group to others.

My snow was removed in a reliable and timely manner. Plus the yard and bushes surrounding my drive were not damaged. I plan to continue to use them.

Everything was perfect. My call was returned promptly. The estimate was good. The work was done on time and very well. They exceeded my expectations on every level. I would use them again and recommend them to anyone who needs gutters

We have hired the David Hazen group to replace our roof, however the work has not been done yet. It took us a while to decide on which shingle to use. Our decision to hire David Hazen group is directly related to our dealings with Jeff Albaugh. We feel completely comfortable in hiring this company knowing that Jeff will be overseeing the project. I'll provide another rating once the work is complete.

Overall, I did not have the best experience with the David Hazen Group. I contacted them about six weeks ago. It took about a week to 10 days to get someone to do an estimate, and it was very reasonable and explained well. At the time, the estimator told me that I would receive an Angie's List discount, which was then not listed on the estimate. He also told me that it could be fixed in 7-10 days. I signed the work order, and a week later, called to ask if they received it and if they were going to do the work (and when it could be done). The owner was short with me on the phone and told me that there were other jobs that were higher priority ahead of me but that someone would let me know. I got a call later that day telling me that I was scheduled for two weeks out. About 10 days later, I received a voice mail telling me that they wouldn't be able to do the work until the following week (this week). The work was performed today. Last night at 7 pm, the owner called me to ask about exterior paint, which no one had mentioned to me up to this point. He said the job would be done today, and when I asked what time, he said, "Hon, I don't know. Maybe noon." I hung up quite upset for several reasons, which mostly included his attitude toward me and this obviously small job. At payment time today, I was told that the Angie's List discount did not apply because he wasn't going to make enough money on the job, which he started to tell me was my fault. He retracted the actual blaming, but told me that they ran into a more extensive job than they anticipated. I pointed out that since I was home all day, he could have talked to me about this during the day, which he did not. Still, he blamed everything- the weather, other jobs, etc on the delays and the fact that he doesn't have time to call customers to tell them where they are on the queue. These are all things I have said to the owner in person. I don't feel that he really cared to have my business, so I probably won't be calling there again.

We contacted the owner, who came out and surveyed the house and then scheduled the actual work.

Fantastic ... while initially I had taken advantage of an Angie special, after talking to Duane, I decided I would be better off upgrading the package deal to a better system since the guards offered in the package were no better than what I had on. After seeing the upgraded system I decided to go with them and have been very happy. Duane even set me up to have my guards checked and gutters cleaned out if needed 1-2 a year Am I getting ready to have two windows replaced and the roof redone. while submit an update on that

OK, but this work may have been a smaller job than this contractor could do economically.

The fellow who came out, Jeff, was terribly nice. However, I felt pressured from the moment that I started talking to him. The first thing he said was that the estimate was only good for 30 days as the prices on roofing tile had just gone up for the entire industry and they would be losing money on the price they gave me. When we talked about the scope of work, I told him that I wanted the sun room addition done with the rest of the house in order to have a consistent look. As we were wrapping up, he said he thought that the entire job would cost $12,000. I commented that I thought it was high. He asked what I had expected and I told him around $8,000. He said he would see where we were. When the estimate came, promptly I will add, it was for $8400. How about that? Of course, he had optioned out the sun room. He also had optioned out the vent removal, which we had discussed was mandatory as that was the source of my leak. He also optioned out something else that I couldn't even understand because the language was too technical. In his favor, he did caulk the hole around the vent stopping the leak in the short term. He also identified possible hail damage on my roof and recommended that I call my insurance company to make a claim. However, I got the hard sell on having him there when the insurance adjuster came so that his company could get the work. In all, I just didn't have a good feeling from him. I cannot speak to the quality of the company's work. They promptly responded to my inquiry. The estimator was on time. However, I really felt like I was getting the hard sell on the entire process. It forces me to wonder if there will be other problems down the road. I have not received my second estimate yet and I already know that I will not be using this company.

I rated them an A for the quality of the work because indeed I am very pleased with that but overall, they left a lot to be desired related to the experience dealing with their company. I contacted them through Angie's List website to schedule an estimate on the work, which I knew would be a fairly small job but was still a big deal to me. It took a series of emails to even get someone to contact me regarding setting up a time for an estimate. I scheduled a time for them to come see the job but 4 hours after the expected timeslot, I called their office number and talked to David Hazen, who then had to track down people in the office to find out what was going on. 30 minutes later someone did show up but they hurriedly ran through what I was requesting. I was emailed the estimate and scheduled for the following week but only after I followed up several times through email. They fit me in the Friday before Labor Day before all the storms, which I was grateful for but no one notified me, I was trying to verify whether anything was scheduled yet and stumbled upon it - I had to run home and put up my dog before they came. Customer service is just very lacking. The quality was great but a little more on the communication side would really go a long way. Update: They have since followed up with me and went more than out of their way to be sure that I was pleased with the work done on my gutters. I had additional gutters replaced and was very happy with their work. On both service calls, they called ahead to let me know when they were coming. Again, the work is just top notch. I would be happy to recommend them and use them again in the future.

I have used them for years. I have never even considered calling anyone else. This was the first year I had them do work other than just gutters. We had shutters and some painting done. My daughter also had the exterior of her house painted. All of the service we have had has been excellent.

They were punctual, well informed and did a great job. Our gutters have never looked better.

They did a superb job on the copper hood. They redesigned the gutters. They were smart about the work. We were just so impressed with the crew and everything they did was high quality. They do the gutter right on the premisses. This is just over and above.
