I called for estimate and Duane came out and gave me an estimate, which I agreed to and then called to see when we could get things started, but kept getting the run around. They said Duane was out of town and would get back to me, but nobody did. Long story short I had been given a wrong estimate. We got that taken care of with a higher estimate and the deck was started. They sent out a father and son team that did a very nice job and I was very pleased with their work. When the deck was completed I heard nothing from the Hazen Group, no follow up as to if I was pleased with there services or had any questions. I feel good customer service always deserves a follow up call. I would probably not use David Hazen Group again. It left me with the feeling that as long as we have your money we don't care if your pleased.

We got in touch with the David Hazen group just to see if they did shutter removal, purchase and install new ones. To our surprise, they do. Ron came to our home to see exactly what we wanted done and was on time and very pleasant. He said that it looked like a job that they could do and a written estimate would be sent to us soon. As promised, the written estimate was sent and considering that they would have to remove screws from the old, existing shutters, fill the old holes to prevent water leakage, purchase the new shutters and then install them, we felt that the price quoted was fair. We returned the written, signed estimate to them by postal service mail and within two-three weeks, they were here, and quickly installed the new shutters. We are so-o-o-o pleased with the refreshed appearance that these new shutters give our home and with the service provided by Ron and his work partner. Both were friendly, alert and business-like even though sometimes balancing on ladders to service the second story shutter replacement. I would highly suggest using this group for gutter cleaning as well as shutter removal/replacement.

They were great. Their responsiveness is very good. I would absolutely use them again in the future. What stood out to me was their quick response and they would come to do the service. I just so happen to be here at the time they came and they were very quick and thorough.

My house is on their recall list. I usually receive a phone call that they my gutter cleaning is due and they will be coming. That can be a month to 6 weeks before they show up. I usually have to bug them to come. The price I'm paying seems high. Last time they came I ask for an estimate to repair my gutters. It has been over a week and I have heard anything.

Bought the "deal" - may have been slightly overpriced. They completed the job earlier than anticipated. They cleaned out and adjusted the gutters. Added gutter covers to the 2nd story gutters. Will know more next year after we have time to evaluate how well the gutter covers work.

They came to do the work promptly when expected. We were pleased with their attention to details and the results of repairs.

I called 3/6 to make an appointment for 3/23. I waited an hour at my rental property, and no one showed. There was some kind of mix up on the scheduling side. An estimator was dispatched to obtain measurements and a provide a quote. Some time between March 23 and April 10, 2013 I called to follow-up. Received a phone call from gent who provided prices over the phone. I asked for the information to be put in writing and sent to me via email or mail. He said he planned to do so, and would follow-thru. It is now June 11, and I still don't have a written quote. I shouldn't have to beg for an estimate. Responding to vendors comments. Thanks for your response, but you must be confusing me with someone else. I remember specifically asking about an email quote, and the gentleman agreeing to do it. The property in question is a rental property, so it is important to me to have all documents in writing. I would not have forgotten to ask for it in writing.

He did a great job and I will use him again. He was there first thing in the morning which was great.

Workman arrived on the same day that I made the request call for service, and quickly re-attached chimney cap that had been blown off by high winds. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

They did a good job cleaning up gutters. I also hired them to patch the corners that were leaking and the patches have never held, but the gutters are over 20 years old.

The base price of the Big Deal was $299 and I can't remember if we went over the time limit; we might have. I told them there was a leak in one of the gutters they worked on. I called twice about it and they never contacted me back. It is not anything huge, but I expected them to at least come and look at it or acknowledge. I might use them again, I don't know. I thought they might at least come out and look at it to let me know what the issue was but they did not come out so how would they know?

They did a great job. They did it quickly and it works much better then the old gutter.

The workmanship appears to be good, the materials are of good quality. I had to chase after them on confirming the installation date. They seem to be very busy but I got the work done within about two weeks of signing proposal.

They had to come out twice, second time to go in the attic to determine where the water was entering. It did take 5 or 6 phone calls to get them to come and caulk around the vent. Since we have not yet had a heavy rain, I am presuming that the leak is fixed. If I were in a hurry for a repair, I would use someone else.

I requested a quote to install gutters. They did manage to send someone out to my house only a day later than the others I contacted, but he did actually come to my house. That's why I was surprised to get a quote for gutter tear off, material removal and installation of new gutters.....there were no gutters on my house. My dad and brother had removed all gutters, replaced the fascia boards and we had someone haul off the old gutters. The quote was about $300 higher than the other quotes, probably for this reason. So I called their office to ask if they wanted to revise the quote. I didn't leave a message because their machine said that they were experiencing delays in making quotes and finishing jobs due to recent hail storms. My house was already without gutters and they were already telling people they're behind schedule, so I decided to go ahead with someone who had more availability in their schedule.

They were very good. They fixed everything. I am pleased. I would use them again.

I was pleased with the work that was completed once I was able to obtain the quote from them. I understand that they were backed up due to the weather, but I think that waiting 7-10 days AFTER someone has inspected a roof for a quote is just too long. I went ahead and used them and was pleased with the work. My only complaint would be the lag between calling to actually receiving the estimate.

Originally scheduled the work in late February and paid them 1/3 of price for a deposit (they asked for 1/2 but I thought that was high since not much material required and it was mostly labor. We provided the paint. I also thought the 1/3 was high but paid it anyway since I thought the day's work would get done in March). Unfortunately, the cold and snowy spring meant the work did not start until late April. They did keep in periodic touch and responded to my emails when I asked about scheduling so that was fine. We haven't had a hard enough downpour yet to assure that the original problem window is completely fixed but I hope so. While the work went fairly well, there were some minor snafus as can be expected in most jobs.These were ultimately satisfactorily resolved, I thought it required more follow-up/urging on my part that I would prefer, I am uncomfortable with being placed in the "griper" role. It is why I gave them a B instead of A and although I may use again, I would think twice.

The price was very high on the quote I got from David Hazen Group. They came without telling me first and looked around, left and emailed me a quote about two weeks later. It was $8,000.00 higher than the company I ended up using.

I would rate them A on everything. They were friendly, and they just got the job done quickly and promptly.

We requested a quote on 1/24/13. They were punctual in arriving and examined the damage from the attic because it had snowed that day and we understood not wanting to get up on the slippery roof. A written quote was provided via email. We did not accept their proposal until 3/6/13. It struck me odd that I had to call and ask what I needed to do to have them do the work. There was not follow through about the proposal. After sending in our signed proposal with a check for a non-refundable deposit, we heard nothing until the night before they wanted to come out and do the work. Again, this caught us off guard, but we wanted the chimney repaired and were ok with them coming the following morning. I did receive an apology for the timing. It was indicated to me that they usually give 1 - 2 days advance notice not 12 hours. The workers were pleasant and competent. After uncovering the problem, they contacted us and explained the situation to my husband as there was a little more involved than originally quoted. The additional framing cost $575. We agreed to the additional work. Following the repair, they cleaned up and the job was satisfactory. It has been 6 weeks since they completed the job and we have not incurred any additional leakage. Before I sent the final payment, I had to ask for a copy of the work order that had a signature from an employee of the David Hazen Group. I also had to ask for a copy of the written warranty that was to come with the work.

Great. The weather held them up then they got at the house for the one day it did not rain. Took a lot of time to clean and prep the gutters well before repairing them.

I noticed that some of my shingles had been blown off during a storm. I called David Hazen Group and they got back with me in a couple of days,and they sent a grew over to repair my roof. They made the repairs and offered some pointers for me to consider. Overall things went well, and I have no complaints.
