They come early enough to get it clear for driving to work in the morning. They are efficient, quiet and do a good job.

They were very polite and they did a great job. I would recommend them and use them again!

I bought a deal for gutter cleaning for our three story house in Meridian Kessler under mature trees. The third story gutters even had little trees growing out of them it had been so long. They came by without me having to come home and cleaned the gutters out without having to schedule or do anything other than call after buying the deal. Will use again next year.

They came when they said they would and did what they said they would do.

Normally, I clear the snow from my own two driveways and my daughters. However, as I was out of the state in early February, I contacted the Hazen Group, based on their Angie's List reviews, to clear all three driveways. Their quoted price was a bit high but as I was contacting them with short notice, I agreed. The clearly predicted snowfall was for 8-12 inches beginning on the evening of February 4 and continuing through the morning of February 5. The contract provided by Hazen Group clearly stated that if the snowfall was more than 6 inches they would charge double but we were told that they would come out twice, if necessary, to make sure all was clear. As it turns out, their truck showed up at 11:30 PM on February 4, several hours before the snow ended. While I understand the need to get a head start when the snow is expected to be heavy, I was assured that they would eventually come back to the earliest clients to clear the 5-6 inches of snow that fell after the first pass. The service was so early that the plowing of our streets buried the end of the driveways at both houses with two feet of heavy packed snow. Again, had they come back as promised, this would have been cleared. Not only did that not happen, but more than a dozen phone calls to Hazen Group's office from my wife and daughter during the day on February 5 were met with either a busy signal or a voice message that no one was available. No one ever called back. Consequently, when I arrived back at the airport late on February 5, my wife was unable to get our of our driveway and I had to have a cab bring me home ($70 with tip). The cab, of course, could not get in the driveway and I had to drag my suitcase over the mound of snow at the end of my driveway and up to house at midnight. The following morning, I spent over two hours clearing my driveways with my snow blower. The job was made more difficult by the melting and refreezing of the snow near the street. I had to find another service to do the same for my daughter's driveway. When I contacted Hazen Group by email to get their response, they admitted that they should have come back and apologized for not doing so but refused to reduce their bill. I point out that clearing 4 inches of snow when the total snow fall is 11 inches is essentially worthless, especially when the driveway gets plowed in by the street crews. Hazen was unmoved by this logic, or apparently by any sense of customer service, and simply refused to reduce their bill. Frankly, I'm appalled by the unprofessional service and attitude of this highly rated Angie's List vendor. I, for one, will never use them for anything in the future. I will also point out that while I've been an Angie's List member for decades (I joined when it was Unified Neighbors), I've very rarely had the occasion to leave negative feedback but this is the worst service I can ever recall from an Angie's List recommended vendor.

David Dobbs, aka Tony, did a super job. Even though the weather forced some rescheduling, he did his very best to get over and get the job done. The rough cedar beamed ceiling was difficult to paint. It had not been painted in many, many years. It became obvious that he would need more paint and more time to finish the job, but we bought more paint, and he rearranged his schedule to complete the job the next day. He is fast, neat, super conscientious and friendly.

They were great. Everything turned out well.

Assessment and work was very professional; communication on when work would be accomplished was not timely.

It went without a hitch. They were able to do the work while I was at work, mailed me the inspection report.

I've been using the David Hazen Group for years for gutter cleaning on my two story house. They do an AWESOME job! All good here - have no worries abour hiring them. Always well done and a very tidy job for something as messy as gutter cleaning! Haven't had a chance to use their other services, but would have a high degree of confidence.

I purchased gutter cleaning service via a special run by Angie's List. Purchased on 11/18/13. Did not hear from company for a several days. Finally, I called them and they told me they were waiting to "group" me in with more jobs in my area. Stay tuned, they will get to me. As of 12/23, still no service. After the cold came, I reached out to them and was told due to the weather we would need to wait until a thaw. Made sense and we have had the thaw. Still no service and no response to my inquiry. $159 paid and no service or communication.

They have cleaned my gutters 2 years in a row. Very happy with the service.

The overall experience was very good. They showed up on time and were professional. There was a little bit of debris left behind after they completed the work but that was my only complaint. I would recommend using this company and I will continue to use them in the future.

My old 4 inch gutters were removed and new 6 inch gutters with Leaf Solution gutter guards were installed on Monday December 2nd. I had the work scheduled for mid to late November, but the crew was not able to do the work until Dec 2nd. I had been concerned about installing gutters when the outside temperature was below 40 degrees, as the sealant for the gutter seams and end caps requires the temperature to be above 40 degrees when it is applied, and above freezing for the next 24 hours. I had called Duane Ward (project manager) the last week of November, and requested that the project be delayed until the spring due to the low temperatures. On Monday Dec 2nd at about 7am Boyd called me (Boyd is the crew chief who installs the gutters), and asked if they could install the gutters as the weather was expected to be over 40 degrees that day. We spoke for a few minutes about my concerns, and I asked how long it would be to do the complete job from start to finish. Boyd replied he would have the job completed by the end of the day! So I agreed to have the work done. I must say that I was very impressed with the entire process that Boyd and his crew did to remove the old gutters and install the new gutters and gutter guards. First, Boyd, his carpenter, and I went around the house a looked at any wooden trim that might need to be replaced. Next, discussed how the gutters and gutter guards were going to be installed, given that I had a new roof installed this summer. Boyd said the gutters would be installed under the drip edge of the roof (this is what GAF recommended), and the gutter guards would be installed under the first row of shingles and above the roof ice barrier (again this is what GAF had recommended). I was pleased with his answer, and his crew started the work. Boyd has over 30 years installing gutters, and it shows. Watching his crew work was fascinating, they are quite the team. My roof has a 9/12 pitch and these men walked around it like it was flat. They also installed the gutters as a team, two men each on a ladder, would ascend the ladders, and slide the gutters under the drip guard. Boyd would tell them when the alignment and pitch was right, and they would fasten the gutters to the home. Prior to hanging the gutters any wood fascia board that needed replacing was done by Boyd's carpenter, all of the wood was pre-primed on all sides, and painted on site to match the existing wood. The final step was installing the gutter guards, and again the effort went well. I have always enjoyed watching proud professionals do there jobs, Boyd and his team are among the best. I will certainly them recommend to my friends. One last item I would like to comment on, is the management of David Hazen's group. After having two jobs completed by his team, my observation is that the people he hires are excellent at their jobs, enjoy their work, and like to work together. I expect high quality in the work I want done, and these people delivered!!

This process went very well. First, Duane Ward (project manager/estimator) came out and gave us an estimate to do the interior painting. He explained the entire process, (moving the furniture, fixing any cracks and nail pops, how the paint was going to be cut-in and rolled-on, and of course how much it would cost. He provide us with a detailed estimate, for this and several other projects we were considering at the time. When we decided to have the painting done, Tammy offered to rewrite the estimate to just include the items we wanted completed. This was very helpful as it kept the contract simple. When the painting was started, Ron (project manager) and Tony (the painter) came out to review the details of the work to be completed, and about how long it was going to take. It was the Monday before Thanksgiving, and I was hoping that the painting would be complete in three days. Tony, advised that with the extensive prep of the cracks in the ceiling and nail pops, that the work would take longer then three days, but he would clean up the rooms prior Thanksgiving so we would not be impacted. Tony's prep and painting work was outstanding!! He arrived each morning between 7:30 to 8:30, and worked hard throughout the entire day. His professionalism and attention to detail made the entire process go well. We have had a lot of people paint our home over the years, and Tony is one of the best. We are very pleased with the completed paint work, and will highly recommend Tony and the David Hazen group to our friends.

Gutters were cleaned fine, but I'm not sure if I would use this company again as would like a little bit better customer service.

They cleaned my gutters. The job went fairly quickly and gutters drained fine afterwards.

The gentleman that came out showed me what they would be doing with the gutter covers. His estimate was reasonable, but he indicated to me that he would summarize the estimate in an email. The email has yet to arrive with the estimate. They are not going to be my choice for gutter covers, as they have not been as responsive as other companies.

Very well, indeed. The two workers did an excellent fixing the mess I had made of our steps. They cleaned the area very well upon completion, and we were very pleased. We had one slight hiccup in that the workers were able to come one week earlier than scheduled, and the person assigned to notify us of the improved date forgot to call us about the change. The workers were also a bit put out by that oversight, but no harm came of that oversight. The steps look great, and we are very well pleased.

Boyd and Duane came by to do an estimate. They were very good at listening to some of the water issues we had dealt with in our yard and water intrusion in our basement. In addition to replacing the gutters, they added new gutters to a bump out we did to expand our kitchen. I received two other estimates and their gutter pricing was very competitive. Where they were twice as expensive was with the Evelyn's Leaf Solution gutter screens. We had had Evelyn's Leaf Solution screens on our old gutter system for 11 years and they had worked beautifully with the helicopter leaves we have in the spring, and we didn't want to go with a cheaper gutter screen that wouldn't work. Boyd moved me up on their calendar because we had no gutters on our new addition and were having problems with rain falling near the foundation of the house. It took the crew about 2 days to install everything. They even worked on a Saturday to get the job done. They were highly professional and did a terrific job burying the PVC drain in a trench under our brick paver patio as well as boring a hole through a huge stone in our stone wall for the PVC pipe to exit. I would highly recommend them for gutter and drainage work.

When we first got them out here they claimed they have been here multiple times and to my knowledge they have not been. They claimed we would not have any issues at all when they finished the work but now my roof is leaking in the family room. We have never met anyone there we can't get to answer to the name of David Hazen. They told us they were not going to fix it and it was not there responsibility. When my wife and I called them back out after the first snowfall according to them the leak was a one time thing because the way the snow melted on to the home. They said they would come back if it was leaking further on the ceiling but they still will not fix it the issue.

They did the poor job as on one side of the house they didn't install the screens after they finished the job . After contacting them they came back and install them. First time they left the premises stating that the job is complete however they missed one side of the house as stated earlier.

Service was great! Once I received a call back (that took a little while) everything was great. They were responsive, fast, courteous and professional.
