+ 0 moreI stepped out for lunch and returned to find that they had arrived, completed the work and left. Even my drive was cleared of debris and my trash can was brought in from the curb. My only concern is that they did not let me know they were on the way but fortunately the fence was unlocked in back. They mailed an inspection report which was nice to have since my roof is very high and too steep for me to inspect myself.
Description of Work: Cleared debris from the roof valleys and gutters.

+ 2 moreThey cleaned out my gutter and did a nice job. 2 guys did the work. They found a problem and sent an estimate to fix everything. I don't think they were at my home for 2 hours. I don't understand why I can't apply the other part of the big deal toward fixing the problem. I feel like I overpaid. The worker was supposed to call me before they came. They didn't show up to our first appointment.

+ -1 moreI called on Monday, June 30th, in the morning to get information on a few repairs. These folks had performed work at our home on previous occasions. The person answering the call took down my information and said I should get a call back shortly. No call back. I called a second time late in the afternoon and the person on the phone said the person that would call me back was busy. It?s now July 3rd without a call. I called today and received an answering machine where I left a message cancelling my request. This company must be too busy and just doesn?t need the work.
Description of Work: Nothing. Wanted to have three (3) air vents in the foundation replaced and a large screened-in porch rescreened. Also wanted gutters cleaned.

+ 1 moreVery responsive upon purchasing the "deal" and were at the house the next day to clean the gutters and conduct the inspection. However, during the next rainfall it was evident that one of the gutters was actually clogged. I called the following day and they were very responsive to getting it cleaned out and we didn't have any issues after that. I also asked for a quote to do some additional work to the roof but never heard back.

+ -1 moreUsed Angies list discount for the provider. Prompt reply and service to the online appt on Angies list. I wasn't here when they did the service (and not entirley sure how long they needed to clean the gutters), but hard to reach 2nd story gutters seem to be functioning well after be massively clogged. They lived up to their good repuation on Angies List.
Description of Work: Clean the gutters...especially needed on hard to reach 2nd story gutters that I am not willing to do on a tall ladder!

+ -1 moreI purchased a painter for the day Big Deal. The painters had all the materials for the job when they arrived. I provided the paint. One concern I had was that there were too many painters in and out of my home throughout the course of service. This led to the paint being unevenly applied, due to the coming and going. There are places in the paint were lines show from the paint roller, where paint dried while rolling. There are also spots where the paint is not evenly applied. The painters were a pleasant group. I would not purchase a Big Deal for this service from this provider again. For me, it's more important for the work performed to be higher quality than to save a few bucks with purchasing a Big Deal. Overall, the work performed was "fair" quality -- C grade.

They were highly rated on Angie's List and the offer was too good to pass up, even if it meant I may have to pay a little extra if the painters went past the cummulative 8 labor hours to get the job done. They ended up getting the furniture moved, walls painted, furniture moved back and area cleaned all within the allotted time frame. My dad said they were very friendly, proficient and professional. He's very happy with the results and we both agree that we will recommend the David Hazen Group to our friends and family for painting needs in the future. Kudos on a great job, guys! Thank you

+ 0 moreGutters appear to be clean and they reattached in places where they were coming loose. I was on vacation when the work was done. I called to check on when it would be done because I hadn't heard and the office informed me it was done the day before. I would have preferred some communication that the job was complete. The office didn't have many details about what repair work was done. A summary of this would have also been nice. Overall, though, the process went smoothly.

They took my information and told me a project manager would call to schedule coming out to give a repair estimate. I hadn't hear anything, so I called back on June 3. They confirmed my original call, and again told me someone would contact me. I received a call on June 5 to schedule time to come out. By that time, I had contacted someone else, and the work was done.

+ -1 moreVery unprofessional . We put money down for the job . I will say when we cancelled the job they did reimburse us, so I give them credit for that.
Description of Work: They did nothing except leave a mess. They we're suppose to replace a piece of sofit and paint it and clean all the gutters. They cancelled the first day they were to do the job because they were on another site and it was taking longer than they expected. When they showed up the next day five hours later than scheduled they said there was more to the job than they expected so they left , leaving tools behind. They said they would reschedule but didn't know when they would get back to the job. They had to come back the next day to get their tools, and couldn't start the job due to the rain. I had them reconnect an outdoor motion light that they had disconnected the day before ands they took a full roof shingle claming it was theirs......it wasn't . We didn't know that until we contracted with another provider and he discovered the shingle was missing and it was actually ours ! All they talked about was how busy they were, and we were told that they could easily complete the job, not true. I would not recommend this company to my friends or family

+ -1 moreI bought the coupon on Angie's list and put in my potential dates. I got a call back right away and was scheduled for service sooner than what I had requested or expected. The cleaners came and let me know they were going to get started. They left however without checking back in which I thought was a little odd. A few days later it rained and one gutter had not been fully cleaned causing water to shoot straight up. I was going to call to get it redone but we were able to clean it outa window with a golf club. I felt they should have been more complete with the cost.

+ -1 moreI purchased a coupon and it was apparent that they were overwhelmed with requests because it took a couple of extra weeks for them to come out and the communication between the company and us wasn't the best because the scheduling wasn't clear and the guys came out without letting me know. In the end they did a great job. The house looks great and they took extra time to make sure it was done right without charging me extra.
