They are both great at being sensitive to his needs as they change from day to day. The provide a wonderful service!

We have been Home Sweet Home clients for several years and would not leave our dogs with anyone else. They know the personalities of our pets and have catered to their needs, especially our older dogs. The dogs are able to remain in our home and not be stressed by a kennel situation. The Burns are the nicest people, and we feel fortunate to have found them! Nellie and Bosco love them too!
Description of Work: Home Sweet Home Pet Care takes care of our two dogs whenever we are gone. . They come in 3-4 times per day, as we request. They feed the dogs, give them fresh water, wash out their food bowls, take them out twice during their visit, give them treats and love and play with them. They also take care of the house, bring in the mail and newspaper, turn lights off and on, check on the sump pump, check all levels of the house, raise and lower shades, water plants indoors and out (often without being asked to). They empty the kitchen trash if it gets full, take out the weekly trash and even vacuum on their last visit if they see it is needed! They truly care about our home and our pets while we are away and always call if there is any question.

+ -1 moreJohn and Sharon were wonderful! They are professional and they treated my home and my pets with the same care as they would their own. This was the first time I used their services and when they came out to my home for the initial consultative visit, they spent time with me and my dogs so that we all could get to know them. I felt comfortable with them very quickly. Sharon knew this was my first time to leave my dogs with a pet sitter here so she called me while I was gone to let me know my dogs were doing very well. I can't tell you how much I appreciated that, it let me enjoy my vacation and gave me peave of mind. When I returned home, the house was in order and looked great. My dogs were happy and were well taken care of. John and Sharon left a status report for every visit so I could read how my girls did while I was gone. I would highly recommend Home Sweet Home, in fact, I've already booked them for another weekend in July.
Description of Work: John and Sharon watched our two dogs while we went out of town for the weekend. I haven't had a lot of experience with someone coming into my home and taking care of my girls, but now that I've found Home Sweet Home, I will be using them again.

+ -1 moreJohn and Sharon are conscientious and reliable, so we don't have to worry about anything. While we like that they do helpful tasks around the house, they put the animals first, and they take ample time with each pet. Once they called us to report that they'd found a tiny spot of blood on the tile, which was a very early symptom that one of our dogs had a urinary tract infection; we were able to call our vet and arrange for an antibiotic right away. On another occasion, another dog slipped out of the backyard through a hole in the fence; because John was right out there keeping an eye on things, he was able to bring our little escape artist back right away and plug the hole. John and Sharon leave a helpful note at each visit and don't rest until they know you're back home. We recommend Home Sweet Home very highly.
Description of Work: We regularly call John and Sharon to watch one or more of our dogs, whether we leave town for just a day or go on vacation for a week or more. While we try to call as far in advance as possible, we also have called Home Sweet Home on short notice. Except for spring break (my lack of planning) they have been able to accommodate us.

+ 0 moreWe have used Home Sweet Home Pet Care for several years and they have been a blessing! John and Sharon Burns are the sole caretakers of the animals; there are no other employees. They came for an initial meeting of more than an hour to find out about our pets and our home and to get our keys. Over the years they have cared for three dogs at a time, one of them being very sick and needing alot of TLC; another of which has socialization issues and has to be kept away from other dogs. They truly love and understand animals. John and Sharon are dependable and compassionate in all that they do. Home Sweet Home Pet Care has been providing us with outstanding service which leaves us WORRY FREE when leaving our dogs in their care. They are the BEST!
Description of Work: $18.50/visit for two dogs. Come up to 4 times per day. Each visit lasts from 30-45 minutes or more. Dogs are let out at beginning and end of visit; walked and played with as instructed plus given lots of love; medicine given; bowls washed out; food and given fresh water given; outside lights turned on or off; shades pulled or opened; mail and paper brought in; dehumidifier emptied; flowers watered; security check done throughout house. Even our parakeet is well taken care of for no extra charge. A detailed note about how the dogs behaved, ate, and all services provided is written at EACH visit. They even vacuum for us on their last visit before we come home! Communication is excellent in that Sharon confirms each visit by phone several days before they are scheduled to visit. If there are any concerns, they call us or we are free to call them. We usually try to book them well in advance, but they have also gone out of their way to fit us in at the last minute if at all possible. They are based in Westfield and do have a limit to their service area range (15 miles?).

Knowing they will be coming to our house daily has made leaving for our twice-yearly trips to Europe (and business trips in between) absolutely carefree. They're attentive to the last detail, including some we hadn't thought of. They leave little call reports daily and haven't hesitated to call us a couple times when there was a need. They do this for a living and take it seriously.
Description of Work: John and Sharon come to our house daily to care for our two cats, water the plants, bring in the mail, check the house (and sometimes find important problems), and take out the trash when we are away. The last time was for three weeks in April and May.

They leave notes each day so we know how things went. They notice the smallest change in him (which is great because he is 11 years old). My spoiled little one is used to getting under the furniture when confronted with strangers. Not so, she remembered them from last time and came running out and went through her paces. They brought in my mail and generally checked on the house. I would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: John and Sharon cared for my two dogs and watched my house for a week recently. This is the third time I have entrusted my pets to their care. Need I say more?

It runs around a few hundred a month, depending on when they come by and the amount of pets, paying by the day.

+ -1 moreWe needed pet caregivers who would be attentive to our two older dogs' needs and personalities and who would be the sole caregivers on a dependable basis. How lucky we were to find and meet John and Sharon! They spent an hour and a half with us during the complimentary initial visit to explain their philosophy and services and meet our dogs. They are wonderful people who are very committed to the pet and home care they perform. We felt completely at ease, leaving our two older dogs in their care. John and Sharon left detailed notes after each visit (on average 45 minutes--the dogs were let out at least twice), vacuumed up the dog hair so the house would be clean upon our return, took care of our parakeet, turned lights on and off, brought in the mail and paper, picked up the yard, and watered our tomato plants (we did not even ask for that!), all at no extra charge! We had notes and report cards to read and happy, content dogs when we returned. Even the bird was smiling.
Description of Work: They provided care for two dogs and a parakeet over three days. They brought in the mail and newspaper, turned lights on and off, and opened and closed shades. It was $17/visit for two dogs.

+ -1 moreWe are new to Indiana, and saw that Sharon & John received such good feedback on Angie's list, that we HAD to have them as our pet sitters. Sharon & John go out of their way to make you and your pets feel comfortable. Our female cat is a Houdini at hiding, especially because she knows she has to get her medicine. They found her each day and didn't miss a dose. I really enjoyed the sweet messages that Sharon wrote every day about what went on with our cats. We loved having them as our sitters, and didn't worry one bit while we were on holiday. I would highly recommend them to anyone!
Description of Work: Sharon & John visited our two indoor only Bengal cats each day for 12 days to feed them, clean their litter box, play with them and administer meds to one of them. They also picked up our mail & newspapers and watered a few small, indoor plants.

Description of Work: JOHN & SHARON OCCASIONALLY PET SIT FOR OUR TWO DOGS. THEY PROVIDE ADDITIONAL SERVICES, INCLUDING BRINGING IN THE MAIL, TAKING OUT THE TRASH, AND EVEN VACUUMING THE CARPET. THEY MAKE SURE TO CROSS EVERY ''T'' AND DOT EVERY ''I''. WE WERE EXTREMELY IMPRESSED WITH THEIR PROFESSIONALISM AS WELL AS THEIR LOVE OF ANIMALS. OUR DOG ACTUALLY LOOKS FOR THEM TO COME BACK!! IT WAS MOST APPARENT SHARON AND JOHN LOVE ANIMALS AND KNOW HOW TO DEAL WITH THEM. THEY ARE TRUE PROFESSIONALS. THE PRICE WAS VERY FAIR, IN MY OPINION, AND THEY THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING. EVERY EVENTUALITY WAS COVERED BY THEIR PAPERWORK.
Description of Work: THE PRICE GIVEN IS PER DAY. THIS INCLUDED TWO TRIPS TO CARE FOR THREE DOGS. JOHN AND SHARON CAME TO MY HOUSE TWICE A DAY TO FEED, ENTERTAIN, AND LOVE THE DOGS. I WAS CONTACTED ABOUT EVERY TWO OR THREE DAYS ABOUT THE PETS' WELL-BEING. MEDICATION WAS GIVEN TO ONE OF THE DOGS DAILY, AND FOOD WAS PURCHASED WHEN THE SUPPLY WAS DEPLETED.
