John and Sharon are incredible. They went way beyond in there service excellence. Before I left on my trip they asked for pictures of each pet and a brief description of where each of them likes to sleep, treats, etc. John and Sharon called me every other day to give me brief updates on how each pet was doing. One of my kitties is slightly disabled and they gave her special food and special treatment as needed. When I returned there was a set of notes from John and Sharon describing what they did on each trip to the house. In addition to bringing in the mail, they cleaned the litter boxes daily and vacuumed the house before I returned home. Frankly, the house is much cleaner when they are taking care it than it is when I am home. I have not been gone from my home for that long in nearly 15 years because my pets have always been my kids and when I asked neighbors or friends to check on them and/or let the dogs out I was always concerned that they would forget or screw up and let one of the kitties out by mistake. Not this time! I enjoyed my trip without a single concern and really appreciated their timely updates while I was gone. I now feel free to leave on more frequent trips since John and Sharon will be available on reasonable notice to take care of my babies. This has been a great experience and I am really thankful that I have found these folks to take care of my pets whenever I need to leave town. If you want someone to totally trust with your pets, hire these folks!!!!

Excellent. Very sweet couple, and you can truly see their love of animals! They are so attentive to details, and they leave great notes so you know exactly how the visit went when you get home. It is very comforting to know that our pets are well cared for when we are away.

John and Sharon have taken care of our cats many times, and I don't want to ever have to switch to another caregiver. There's so much to coordinate when planning a trip, but this part's very easy. If you want gentle, conscientious care for your pets and peace of mind for yourself, you're looking at the right company.

Home Sweet Home did a great job over Christmas vacation. My daughter brought her two cats home making four cats to look after. We left home for a few days and during that time the weather was dreadful. I guess it snowed 7 inches very quickly and yet Sharon and John still were able to come and take care of the cats on that day. In fact, they called me to let me know everything was fine. They always do a great job but that was outstanding. Plus, they checked the house, brought in the mail, and looked for packages on the front step. I highly recommend them.

We have worked with Home Sweet Home for enough years that I can't count. They are amazing people. My cats are always happy when we return, and my house often looks better than when I left it. Can't say enough about these great-hearted people who simply love doing what they do ... which happens to be taking care of my cats. They have seen us through one set of two cats, and on to the second set of two.

Over the past two years, we have not had a problem, so our experience with John and Sharon has been wonderful. We trust them with our dog and our dog loves them. When there has been any question or problem, they hacve called us immediately.

Awesome! I simply don't know what we would do without them. They are 100% reliable. Our dogs love them and so do we. They let us know if anything seems amiss with either dog. Our new dog (a 6-year-old golden) needed TLC as he adjusted to life in a home after being a puppy-mill breeder dog on a farm in Pennsylvania. John & Sharon were a big help in his adjustment to the good life of a home. They are great!!!!!

Everything was excellent from start to finish. They were responsive and in touch from the time I called them a couple months in advance.

We were given the name of Home Sweet Home Pet Care by a neighbor. We interviewed them and feel in love with them immediately back in October 2011. They have years of experience with taking care of animals. John & Sharon have been walking & feeding our dog numerous times per week since October 2011. They are so caring and loving with our dog and always there when we need them. They give the attention and love to our dog when we are not there, so I know he is well taken care of. John and Sharon are a valuable part of my dog's life and we ALL cherish their friendship. BEST PET SITTER'S EVER!

This husband and wife tended to our home, plants and animals for a week while we were on vacation. They came to our farm twice a day where they watered plants, fed pigs, chickens, cats. They checked inside the house to be sure everything was secure. They made copious notes every day as to what they did and what they saw. . . which they gave to us when we returned. They were efficient, so friendly, and wonderful to work with. Our plants and flower beds never looked so good (it was during the drought!) and our animals were well fed and well taken care of.

My experience with them was great. I needed someone fairly quickly and they were so accommodating. We talked on the phone, they came to the house so we could meet, and I felt very comfortable in leaving my house and cats in their care. It is a man and wife team; she took care of the cats while he took care of the house and plants. It has been so terribly hot and he was so kind to water a bed of annuals as well as some potted plants for me. I felt like they took the same care towards everything as I would. I would definately use them again.

I have used Home Sweet Home Pet Care frequently for 7 years. They were recommended to me by my veterinarian when I moved to Carmel. Sharon and John are wonderful - they love my pets almost as much as I do! They go above and beyond what normal pet sitters do. All three of my pets are older and two of them are on various medications. I'm never concerned leaving my pets with Sharon and John because I have complete trust in them to do whatever needs to be done. If there is a concern, they always call to let me know. They're the best!

John and Sharon Burns, owners and operators of Home Sweet Home Pet Care, continue to do exemplary service for us and our dogs. We have used them for approximately 10 years. We have a senior dog who is losing her sight and hearing but have no worries leaving her in John and Sharon's care. They are attentive to her as they had been to another senior dog we had in the past. Both our older and younger dog receive lots of love and attention, all their meds and supplements, and get out at least twice during each visit to our home. The visits are not rushed, and at EACH visit John and Sharon leave a report on everything done during that visit and comment on how the dogs were doing. Our house lights are turned on and off, shades are opened and closed, newspapers and mail are picked up, plants are watered inside and out, dog bowls are washed, trash is taken out, security checks are made, the sump pump is checked, and floors are even vacuumed of dog hair before we return home! They are kind and thoughtful people who go above and beyond expectations due to their love of dogs. We are thankful to have them as friends and service providers. We can leave home with no worries thanks to Home Sweet Home Pet Care.

In one word.. excellent. This report is long overdue. John and Sharon take care of our pets, as if they are their own. They do everything needed, all that we ask of them, and more. I can call them anytime from wherever we are, and they are able to reach us when necessary, but I am always at ease, knowing our pets are being well cared for. It is comforting to know that any special health needs will be taken care of as well, and the house will be as if we had not been gone. Upon return, our cats have always been happy and content. We have not used their service during this past year, only due to a change in our circumstances, but had booked them a couple of times, before we had to cancel the trip. We keep in touch with them, and will definitely use them whenever the need arises. I did not include the cost, as it varies with how many cats we have at any given time, and what their special needs are. While this service is not inexpensive, the quality of care and peace of mind we have in leaving our pets to be cared for by John & Sharon, make it worth while.

We were gone for a long vacation. We had an emergency with one of our pets and john and Sharon were incredible. They went above and beyond what we would have asked them to do. Their communication was tremendous and they gave us such peace of mind. We are so thankful and grateful to them.

Sharon and John did a wonderful job taking care of our furry friends. They came by 3 times a day made sure they ate and walked them. They made sure the place was clean. They bought in our mail and newspaper. Everything was done perfectly. I didn't have to worry about our house or the dogs while we were away.

They are perfect in every way. I trust them implicity. I have been using them for about 5 years.

Awesome! That's the best way to describe their service. They are totally reliable. The dogs love them!!! Honest, thorough and dependable. They leave a note each day so we know how things went. We would definitely recomment them for anyone needing mid-day walking or watching pets during vacations.

As soon as we had our "Meet and Greet" with Sharon and John from Home Sweet Home, we knew that these were the people we could trust to take care of our dog, Cookie. Cookie's a very active Labradoodle whose favorite thing is her frisbee and she demands playtime. Meeting Sharon and John and hearing about their background made us feel comfortablewith them. Not only can you see the love they feel for animals but their professionalism with the list of references, certificate of insurance, etc, made feel better about having strangers in our home. We paid half of our payment before we left on our vacation with the balance to be paid on our return.An envelope and receipt were left for us to do this. They also left a note asking us to call them as soon as we returned to let them know that Cookie was back in our care. This was the longest time we've been away from our dog and we didn't want to put her in a kennel and I don't think we will again as long as we can get John and Sharon to come back. They left detailed notes of what they did each time they visited. They kept in touch with our son to make sure they were on the same page . They brought in the mail every day, made sure our plants were watered, took out the trash, cleaned Cookies bowls, cleaned up the yard and even swiffered the floor. But most of all, Cookie was very well taken care of. She was a very happy girl because she had someone coming to her home, giving her attention, playing with her with her frisbee, eating her food from her own bowls, and getting fussed over and loved just like we'd do. It's all about "her" when we're here and Home Sweet Home gave her the same treatment.

In a nutshell, they made it possible for us to be away for two weeks without worrying about a single thing involving our house and our pets. We came home to calm animals and a clean house. Sharon left notes so we could know what happened each day and not only took care of them but made sure that both cats received lots of love and attention. From Sharon's notes, we learned that she had cleaned up many litter box misses which required extra time and patience. John was meticulous about checking the house each day and making sure what was inside and outside was all right. For example, he locked windows that we had left unlocked and watered outdoor plants and shrubs, even though we had not asked him to do so. They are so conscientious that they prolonged their stay at no extra charge to lock up after a neighbor who needed access to our garage. We have used many pet care providers over the past 30 plus years and I know we could never find anyone better than Home Sweet Home (Sharon and John). Their rates are reasonable and we can wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone needing their services.

John and Sharon are very loving, very thorough, very conscientious. We were extremely happy with their pet sitting and home care while we were gone.

They provide excellent care to my most precious possessions. I would trust them with anything. I also use them for cat visits when I am out of town, and their waiting service is very helpful too.

Home Sweet Home Pet Care is wonderful. They are very reliable - even during our awful winter! They have a great rapport with our dogs and have helped us socialize a 7-year-old who came from an awful situation. With John and Sharon's help, Hannah has blossomed into a well-adjusted dog who knows she is loved. They are completely trustworthy and do a great job of letting us know if either dog is having any difficulty. (Our 14-year-old needs special attention and they are just perfect with him!)

John and Sharon (owners of Home Sweet Home Pet Care) are amazing. We started using them when we went away on trips and it was always a comfort to come home and find our pets so relaxed and well cared for. They truly love our pets and care for them as if thhey were their own. We will reserve a time and never have a doubt that they will be there. They will call on the first day to let us know that they have started seeing the pets. We get detailed notes of all that happened while we are away. Their flexibility is amazing. When something happens requiring us to leave on short notice or if we are delayed in our return, they are there to ensure that the pets are just fine. It is such a comfort to have them there for the pets. I give them the highest rating and recommendation.

Great experience and I would highly recommend John & Sharon. In fact, several of my neighbors use them. They have the highest integrity and are so responsible. I plan to continue to use them for many more years.
