McAtee’s Painting

They sent an ad on October 28th offering wallpaper removal for just $199 until Nov 5th. When I went to purchase the coupon today (11/1/11) and was told that they were sold out and the coupon was no longer available. I believe this should have been mentioned in the offer. If I would have know I would have purchased this coupon sooner.

Mcatee's helped with the paint selection on the exterior and trim since the color was being changed. The were very knowledgable about their products and only used quality materials. The workmanship was superior and professional. Clean-up was excellent.

Found them highly rated on Angie's List. Contacted them through the website. The owner, Bill McAtee, was the first to promptly call, out of the the many I contacted (some didn't respond at all). My wife discussed our needs with him over the phone, and he came out quickly to do an estimate. He sent both of us an e-mail with the details of the work his company would do, the materials he would use, the dates he was able to do it, and the time needed to complete it. After waiting a few more days for the rest of the painting companies to getting around to estimate, or make initial contact, we decided to go with McAtee's. They arrived when promised, did a very good job; used quality materials, and worked professionally and quickly. They worked around our issues (yard mess, dogs, my sleeping schedule, etc.) with courtesy and professionalism. I expect our house will be looking good for many years to come. They are a friendly and fun bunch (there were 5 of them because our house was large and needed a lot of trim work) and got everything done ahead of schedule without any surprises of problems. We actually enjoyed having them around for a while. That's how unintrusive they were. Thanks McAtee's!

Never bothered to return my call. Had to call someone I knew from years ago. Luckily he was available. I joined Angie's List to find reputable service providers, but if this is standard for replies, I won't be using the service again.

They are great. They are wonderful. They are very easy to work with. They are fair priced. I think they are extremely reasonable. They did great work. The workers were good; I didn’t really notice them. The owner Bill is great. They are great to work with. I wuld recommend them. I would use them in the future.

They were professional and organized. They did a very good job with both the painting and clean up that was performed. About ten months after the work, we had some spots that needed fixing. McAtees was happy to help us under the warranty.

It went excellent. They did a great job. They worked very hard in helping us pick a color. It was difficult to find a color that matched the windows and the brick.

McAtee has great employees who arrived punctually each day and worked diligently to complete the painting and repairs so as to cause minimal disruption to us. They were an honest, hard working crew and did not require us to be there. Bill McAtee personally checked on our projects on a daily basis and worked right along side his crew. The whole process was pleasant, interior and exterior. We will use them for all of our painting needs and would like to recommend them to Angie's List subscribers.

They were very happy with what the company did. We were very happy about the price. My daughter-in-law thought they were very neat and pleasant to be around.

The experience with them was good. The work was o.k. We weren't totally satisfied with it. They did come back and touch up some things. They did take care of some things that we had concerns with.

McAtee Painting was recommended by the company who installed our new windows as being particularly skilled with applying gel stain to the fiberglass interior. They did an excellent job through the entire process and returned for touch-ups and the finishing clear coat. They paid special attention to making sure the stain was applied evenly, which was difficult given the different lighting at different times of day. McAtee exceeded our expectations in several ways. First, they touched up our old woodwork around the new double-hung windows so that it all looks new. Second, they painted an area of unfinished wood around a skylight that was installed during an earlier unrelated improvement. Third, they painted a water-damaged ceiling area such that it is no longer noticeable. None of these things were included in the original scope of their project. They were all undertaken at their suggestion with no additional charge. We could not be more pleased with their work, and our windows look beautiful.

They were great. The price seemed fair and the quality was good. I would use them again.

There were 2 men that arrived on time. They got started on the door. The owner helped with some of the staining. Bill McAtee was on site to supervise and offered excellent guidance. The staining process takes technique, requires an artistic ability and these professionals knew what they were doing. Had I done it myself it would not turned out this beautifully.

He was very pleasant. He was very nice and organized. The quote was comparable to the others I had received.

Mcatee's Painting provided a quote as did two other local firms I found on Angie's List. Mcatee's quote was in line with the 2nd quote; both of which were 60% less than the 3rd firm. Bill Mcatee came to review the specifics of the job, the high quality Sherwin Williams paint that would be used and other factors to insure we were addressing what really needed to be done. His crew arrived on time, were professional and personal to deal with and completed the job on time. They were respectful of our time and our property which also impressed us.

I was thrilled that one of their crew was able to repair the cracks of the stucco. They paid attention to detail and thoroughly prepared the surfaces. They did a wonderful job.

I had been given Bill McAtee's name from two different friends. When it was finally time to paint the house, I checked his reputation on Angie's List. I spoke with Bill in late August/early September for a quote and he called me the next day with a price. We hired him to begin in mid-October. Bill even called the week before he was scheduled to start because they had finished their previous job early and could begin sooner. The day they began, Bill McAtee and his crew met with us to make sure they understood exactly what we wanted. Once my husband and I saw the accent color we had chosen on the house, we freaked and changed our minds. Bill's crew was really patient and helpful -- they came up with a solution that would minimize wasted time and money. The crew was punctual, professional and did a great job cleaning up each day. The house looks amazing.

I requested an estimate to paint the trim on our house. Mr. McAtee responded immediately and called me back with a price that day. Even though he had the lowest of the prices, he did not follow up with a printed estimate. Nor did he do any follow up after that. I was left with the impression that everything he did was done in haste. Given that the price was significantly less than the other two, I was fairly certain that he had not done a thorough job on the estimate. I concluded that the work would also not be thorough or done in haste.

He was very neat, tidy, and on time. He prepped it early and completed the job when we wanted it completed. He cleaned up well afterwards and is an excellent painter. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a painter.
