Next time I would schedule the painting the same time as I scheduled the wallpaper removal.

Bill McAtee did a complete exterior painting of my home almost 10 years ago. When my siding and window contractor Matt McQuiston of The Home Improvement Company also recommended working with Bill on the new exterior painting job needed after new siding was installed, I didn't need to look any further. Bill and his crew were courteous, thoughtful, prompt, and willing to answer questions. They worked around the rainy weather we had and even worked over the weekend (our choice) to get the job completed sooner than later. Bill uses only the best materials and did an excellent job of protecting and beautifying my home investment. I wholeheartedly recommend Bill McAtee of McAtee's Painting without reservation. I completely trusted him and his crew. The quality and value for the money were top notch! For those of you needed siding and/or windows and painting, It was really terrific to work with two companies that work so well together such as The Home Improvement Company and McAtee's Painting. They did a very good job in coordinating a continuous job, without the extra mark-up thus creating extra value for customers.

They came out for three or four days and did work. Everything went fine. They were even good with my dog.

They did a fabulous job. They were here for two days. They sent three very nice gentlemen out to do it. I am thrilled with the color he helped me pick out because I am not good with colors. They put everything back perfectly. It looks like a whole new house. I am definitely thrilled. I was very comfortable with the men and they were very professional. I have ten foot ceilings and I thought the price should have been around what it was. They sat in front of my house until 8am, they were all early. I would recommend them.

They cleaned and sealed the deck in 2 days, maybe 3. It looks very nice.They cleaned and painted the house and trim in 4 or 5 days in the unbearable heat. They didn't let that stop them. The job was completed, we did a walk around with the boss and the job was complete. We are very happy with the results so far. If the paint starts falling off the house, we'll let you know.

They came in did what they were supposed to, and they did a decent job.

Bill McAtee, gave us a written estimate to paint the white trim of our house. When an employee came to power wash our house he noticed the shutters needed painting too. They were painted at no additional cost, McAtee's, paint work was outstanding.

Bill's crew did a great job, and were professional and pleasant to work with. The walls looked so good they made the adjoining rooms look dingy, so I hired them again a month later to paint the kitchen and family room.

Mr. McAtee was very responsive to our call. He traveled to Anderson within a day and had a written estimate available immediately. He was courteous and seemed very professional. We thank him for giving us an estimate. Hopefully, we can use his services in the future.

They arrived early and promptly began working on removing the wallpaper and glue from the walls. They worked well together and enjoyed each other's company. Mr.McAtee explained to me how to properly remove the glue from the walls and prime them. He and his crew were knowledgable. I will definitly use this company again.

He couldn't have been more accommodating, with me every step of the way. He was a great communicator and understood what I wanted and relayed that to his crew as well. He was pleasant and jovial and professional at the same time. He was good natured and each of his crew members had their own specialties so that the overall quality of the work was higher. Even when they thought I wasn't home, their conversations were respectful and the whole team was decent.

We took advantage of an Angie's List Big Deal for 8 hours of wallpaper removal. McAtee's was very good at communicating about the deal. They actually called us to make sure we scheduled a time to do the work. They were punctual and professional. This was a very difficult wallpaper removal due to excessive glue on the wallpaper. They worked very hard to finish the job in the time frame of the contract. Although it couldn't all be done in that time, it didn't take much longer at a very reasonable rate. We were very pleased with the job and will call them again for any painting/wallpaper removal needs.

On time, worked performed in time estimated, good detailed work. Fixed problems from a paint job done a few years ago by another angie's list company..........

They were on time, cleaned up after themselves, and were very friendly. The work was done very well. I would recommend them to others.

Very professional from start to finish.

They did wallpaper removal as part of an Angie's List Big Deal. I was led to believe on the phone that the walls would be 'paint ready' when they left. They completed th job in less time than I had paid for but they said that they could not proceed to the next step (paint priming) because the walls were still wet. I would think that with a heat gun they could dry up the damaged parts of the wall sufficiently to get the spot priming done during the time I was allotted. They seemed anxious to move on to a bigger job they had scheduled for that morning. I'm suspicious of the Angie's List Big Deals in general - if the deal sounds too good to be true - it probably is.

They were prompt, courteous and very professional. They were very efficient, worked hard and got the job done. They cleaned up after themselves reasonably well for such a messy job!

Very professional and great customer service. Bill McAtee made several calls to keep me up to date: that he had received my request, to schedule a date for the work, to remind me the day before the work was to be done, and to let me know he was on his way the day of service. Crew of 4 arrived on time and ready to work. Very pleasant crew, clean, no smokers, no music played during the work, cleaned up well afterwards, and was very attuned to pleasing the customer. The work ran over the two hours paid for, but was not their fault as the wallpaper was very difficult to remove due to 2 layers, and paint on top of one layer. I paid for an additional hour for 4 men (at a higher rate than the special--$36/hr/worker) which was completed on time. One expense I wasn't told about beforehand though, was my having to pay extra for the chemicals used and the trash bags used to haul the debris away ($40.00 extra). Oh well, they did an excellent job and I would definitely hire them again and highly recommend this crew. Job well done!

Experience went very well. Mr. McAtee and his crew were very professional, personable, neat, and hard working. We are very pleased with the results and will call this service provider again to do more work.

The men arrived on time along with several others (to meet me and bring in supplies). The work area was reviewed and the two men who were doing the work set up and began the work. They continually let me know how things were going and when they completed the work ahead of schedule, asked what else I had for them to do. I was using a coupon and still had two more hours of work on the coupon deal.They moved on to the next area and still had some time left so we scouted out a third area which they were not able to finish, but they stopped at a great stopping point. The rooms were cleaned up and wiped down. Both Lance and "Hollywood" Bill were very professional, friendly and did a great job.

I took advantage of an Angie's List Big Deal offer for wallpaper removal. We had two small cramped spaces to strip. The guys were quick and did a fantastic job! Friendly. Professional. It was actually nice to hear them banter back and forth. They truly worked well together and it was a joy to see them doing their job efficiently and seamlessly. When they finished, they had some remaining time and offered to start on the border in the master bedroom. They didn't finish, but that is just that much less for us to remove. What is pure agony for us was a breeze for them! I cannot express how happy I am not to have to mess with wallpaper any more! Highly recommend!

They came 20 minutes early and waited outside until their actual scheduled time. I believe this was because they were concerned they may inconvenience us. Mr. McAtee came with a small crew who worked straight through from the time they came until time for them to leave. They accomplished a great deal! They removed wallpaper and did drywall repair. Cleanliness is another one of their strong points! As they worked, they swept and wiped all of the areas they repaired. It was such a pleasure dealing with all of them! They were extremely professional and they had warm, cordial personalities. I am so impressed, I am having them come back to paint the entire interior of our house! I will definitely recommend McAtee Painting!

They were actually early. They called and that was great because I was able to have them early. So that was fine. There were four of them and they did a great job. They were very nice and treated my dog well. They ignored her and did not act as if she was in their way. They moved from the fringe the way that I wanted it done. They put back the things and cleaned up after themselves. I was happy with them. If I have something else I have them do I will definitely use them again. One of the things that I was very happy about was when I called to set up the appointment I think I got his voice mail and he got back to me within 30 minutes because I was thinking that he is going to be so busy that he is not going get the time return my call. But he did. Then he was able to set up the appointment very quickly which worked out great for me because I thought since it was a special I may have to wait for long. So I was very happy to get the work done as fast as I did.
