Hired them to check out a collapsed line in my crawlspace. It was gross. The guy they sent never went into the crawlspace, yet they somehow knew it would cost $3500. Then they came back, and told me I needed a new main line. Ok, so another $1843 tacked on. They then, after I've signed off on the above jobs, tell me I have to hire a mitigation company to clean the crawl, so another $3000. Fast forward a few months after work completion, and now the 20% of sewer pipe that they didn't replace (but tied into) has failed. I'll never understand why they wouldn't have suggested replacing it all at the time, seeing as how it would have been more money for their company. They were horrible with communication, and have insinuated that I'm a lyer multiple times. I see they're ok with small jobs, but I wouldn't hire them to make me a cheeseburger at this point. Funny enough, my sister-in-law is having a similar problem, and I got to steal her away from calling this company. That's the price they'll pay for being as unprofessional as any company I've come into contact with.

The two gentlemen called before they came. They finished the next day on schedule and the bill was what was quoted even though they ended up having do a little more than they originally thought. They answered all my questions and cleaned up after themselves. Everything is working great now and we are very happy.

They had to cut a hole in the floor and get into the crawl space. They fixed it back when they were done. They did a really good job. They were here from 8-11:30, so they did a lot of work very quickly. They were very polite and very affordable.

I needed a new roof for my house. I also had wanted to go to a tankless water heater. I was told by a friend in the business to have the water heater put in first as different venting, larger, would have to go through the roof for a gas water heater, smarter not to put a new hole in a new roof. I had two estimates from two other highly rated plumbers from Angie's List, one for $2,940 and one for $2,875.Was not going to get a third extimate because why bother since the others were just $65 apart. A friend suggested I get a third estimate. While talking to Dimmit construction about my roof, he suggested I call Bayer Plumbing for a third. He said that's who he recommends, they are good and reasonable on price.
I called Bayer's on July 30, receptionist connected me with Joe Bayer, the owner. I told him I wanted an estimate for a new Tankless water heater. He said he could be at my home in an hour if I wanted, said ok. He came checked out attic, water heater space, etc. He sat down with me and showed me a booklet about the Navien tankless water heater (all three estimates were for Navien) and explained a few things about it. I then asked the price. He said $2,300. I couldn't believe it ....how much less than the other two estimates. He said he could have someone here the next day. I said yes.
Two young men came the next day shortly after 8:00am.,on time. They put down protection for the floor. They worked steadily, were courteous, and finished in about 6 hours. When done, the water pressure on the kitchen was low, had had somewhat low pressure before but now was worse. They took the faucet apart, found cylinder needed to be replaced. They didn't have the part with them on the truck. I asked what the price would be to replace the cylinder on another call. They called into the shop and were told someone could be out the next day and the cost would be under $75. I scheduled the new cylinder replacement for the next day. One man came the next day on time, replaced the cylinder kit and the charge was $63.
If you are thinking about a Tankless water heater, you owe it to yourself to call Bayer's for an extimate. I hate hiring contractors of any kind, but this was one of the easiest, most pleasant experiences I have ever had.
I don't know what I would do without Angie's list now that I have used it. It is the most valuable tool a consumer can have.

They were lower than the others I got a quote a from. For what I paid for, I think the work was great. I did have to have them come back out and adjust it but it was a minor thing and they didn't charge me and the service was just fine. They did a quick work. It was effective. It was cheap. They listened to what I wanted in replacing the pipes and the orientations that I wanted. When the guy came back out, he even fixed an additional pipe that was kind of leaking next to the other one with no charge.

A serviceman was sent to our house within hours of our call. We did not utilize the emergency service. He thoroughly explained what needed to be done and completed the job quickly and at the anticipated cost.

If I ever had an emergency, they would come out without question, immediately. They found a gas leak in my house that I didn't even know that I had. They are an outstanding company. They have very reasonable prices.

Just fine. He was experienced and easy to talk with---a gentleman. Patiently answered questions. Cost was for truck + 15and quot; of service x2 units (total of 30and quot;). He was in his truck, ready to leave, when I looked over the bill again and saw that I had a few minutes to spare on the second unit of time (had used less than 15 minutes). I asked if he could check a couple of faucets/fixtures inside my house and answer some questions, which he did.

I was having issues with my hot water heater. My basement flooded and I had my water heater down there and I called them to come out and look at it. The plumber that came out, when the pilot wasn't lit on the hot water heater, he just assumed that it needed to be replaced and he didn't really look into it that much and he was going to schedule to have it replaced the next day. When he left I looked at it some more and all it needed was to dry out some more to relight the pilot. So I didn't have a really good experience with them because they were going to put in a new hot water heater when I didn't really need it.

They rearranced their schedule to put me first on Monday and had the repair completed befoe noon. They had the equipment to dig the trench and make all the new connections. Very professional work and we would use them again for plumbing repairs.

We have used Bayer's Plumbing quite a few times throughout the last ten years. They show up when they are supposed to and are not outrageously expensive. Very easy to reach and I have never been disappointed in the work. I would highly recommend them.

Plumber showed up on time, went right to work and finished job effectively without pushing to sell parts or wanting to do more than I needed help with.
