Two Sisters Painting

the painters arrived on time, protected floors with plastic, pushed furniture out of the way and spent two days applying primer. they painted two coats of white on the mid-1970s dark wood walls. painted the ceiling, windows and room trim a different shade of white. the first estimate said a week might be necessary, but they finished in those three days. it was not rushed, however. it was a thoroughly professional job. we hardly were aware they were in the house. we were exceptionally pleased and definitely would use this firm again. well done, two sisters painting.

I found 2 Sisters Painting on Angie's List and called for a quote. Debra responded within a day or so and set-up an appointment. She was very helpful during her visit to my house and even helped me think through which shade of paint would be best after she listened to my preferences. I purchased the big deal for 2 painters for 8 hours and Debra allowed me to use it twice on back to back days. The two painters were extremely punctual, professional and left the rooms exactly as they found them. They even finished early and were able to paint my small laundry room very, very quickly. The price was reasonable, the work was very high quality. Overall, I was very impressed with the service and would hire 2 Sisters Painting again.

Everything went well. They did a great job, didn't leave any messes, and were polite and friendly while at the house.

He was very good and got a lot of things done

The painters were prompt and professional, and got done with more than we expected. They also got the job done well with way less paint and time than it would have taken me, which is why I would hire them again and recommend them.

They put in a full day's work. We are pleased with what they had accomplished, but based on our pre visit meeting we were expecting more on the finishing work: edging, sealing, etc.. We were expecting better work with sealing with trim and baseboards and with cutting in/painting around the edges of the wall where the rollers could not reach. Also, during our pre visit were given the impression that more painting work would be accomplished compared to what actually occured.

Went very well. They ran out of time to complete the living room. (paint) I will reschedule to finish painting the living room, stripping the wallpaper in the boys bathroom and paint that bathroom.

They contacted and scheduled us quickly. They showed up and left on time as well as most importantly did a good job on the painting. Can't ask for more than that!

The experience with Debra and Two Sisters Painting was excellent. I called Debra after being referred to her company by a friend of mine. I only needed a couple walls painted in an apartment I recently moved into. Debra got me fit into the schedule right away and sent out a woman to complete the job a couple days later. She showed up on time and worked diligently to complete the job in 4 hours time. She used the left over paint to paint an additional wall for me. She was professional, friendly, and hard-working. She offered to come back the following week if there was any missing spots, but that was not needed considering what an excellent job she did. I am very happy I hired this company and would refer them to anyone looking for a painter.

I had a good experience with Two Sisters Painting. The painters were on time and ready to go! They completed my job faster than expected. The paint job was good, they did however leave a few paint marks on objects that were not meant to be painted... The wall painting was great though! I hired them to finish more projects after my Big Deal purchase.

We called Two Sisters and first met Deb who came out to give us an estimate which we felt was reasonable. The wallpaper crew came out first and got the paper off quickly but there had been some previous damage to the walls underneath that they had to repair. We had some minor problems afterwards with some clean up issues, but nothing that was a deal breaker. The other sister, Shirley came out to inspect the issues and directed her crew what needed to be done. After that was done, the painting crew came in and it took them several days to complete because they found more wall damage that the wallpaper crew had missed so that made the job take longer than expected. But after five days, it was done and we were more or less satisfied with the work. We will call them again because some of the wall damage was not their fault and it is not certain that it could have been repaired by anyone. Deb and Shirley were both very responsive and answered our questions well. They also gave us a discount on the paint!

One person showed up the fist day and took most of the wallpaper down in the den and parts of the bathroom. The next day two people arrived to finish the job of high spots in the bathroom. Next week they will paint, but they did an excellent job of taking down the wallpaper.

I don't even know where to begin. What turned out to be a 6 hour job turned out to be a week long nightmare. Before I purchased the deal, I called two sisters to ask if they would be able to patch/sand small holes in the wall before painting and they confirmed they would do all the prep work before painting. After this conversation I decided to buy the 399 for a day deal. I was out of town on business when they came over to do the painting and my wife was off from work for the day to let them in/supervise the painting. They showed up on time and started doing their prep work. They did a poor job of patching and sanding the holes in the living room and did not put a drop cloth or any type of covering down on the floor or other surfaces at any of the work locations which I will get to here in a bit. They taped off and painted the living room while getting splatters of paint on the blinds and also the patch work was poorly sanded that it was bulging out from the wall. They let it dry and my wife cleaned up the mess on the blinds and other dots of paint that splattered; it happens no big deal. Then they moved into the carpeted bedroom and started prepping in there. Again no drop cloth or covering off any kind and they started to paint. My wife was making lunch and headed into the room where she found of the painters with a surprised look on his face and found 1/2 a gallon of latex paint all over the carpet floor....This is where the fun begins. He apologized and tried to clean it up the best he could but it was all over the place, on the furniture the carpet was soaked and there was paint on the baseboards, blinds and other places opposite from where he split the paint. He called his boss and decided to go get a steam vaccum to see if it can be fixed. Since it was nearing the end of the day they left and said they would come back tomorrow. My wife already who already took a day off work, took another one and they showed up in the morning to both try and get the paint out of the carpet along with re painting / patching the dry wall in the first room. They were there for about 4 hours the paint still did not come out of the carpet and they were coming back on Wednesday to try and clean it some more. So now we are on the 3rd day of having to take off time off work for them to fix this problem. Meanwhile, every phone call I made never got answered and had to leave a voice mail. I would get called back sometimes, but not all and it was frustrating having to deal with this going on a 3rd day. They came over, re painted the living room and tried to clean the carpet again without avail. After the paint dried in the living room there was a big square patch in the middle where they patched and it looked worse then the day they started. Day 4, at this point you can understand we are getting extremely frustrated and my wife now has to be home for her 4th straight day, which is wasting her built up vacation time. They sent in an expert to clean the carpet "the best in Indy". He came over in the morning and by some luck and "magic" chemical the stain actually did come out to the credit of that company. Now that, that headache was solved we still have the issue of the big patch square in the middle of our living room. We are on day 5 and the owner calls to tell us they can't come out to fix it until that next week. At this point, I get home from my business trip, my wife is exhausted having to deal with tens of visits from two sisters and other companies. We threw our hands up and said no need to come over anymore and we hired someone else to fix the issue. Long story short - what turned into a 6 hour job of 5 walls, turned out to be a week worth of hassle, stress and wasted vacation days to make up for their numerous mistakes. The fact that they don't cover anything, don't clean up after themselves (we continue to find paint splatters here and there) and the numerous calls to voice mail awaiting a call back was very stressful. I get accidents happen but this was just a nightmare. I would not recommend them to anyone and would caution to avoid. They swore this has never happened but what can I say the entire experience was awful.

We were very, very happy with the work. The painters, Josh and Rick, did an excellent job. Deb was super helpful when she visited. She gave me some excellent advice as far as colors and go and I totally trusted her. I am glad about this because the Condo looks outstanding. I will certainly be using these folks in the future.

You get what you pay for... I was considering repainting my dining and living room area but since there were some cracks to the old paint plus a yellowing spot on the ceiling I thought the job required someone professionals that would do a good prep job plus be more careful with protecting the floors etc that I could be and maybe in the process I could learn a thing or two about what a real good painting job requires. When I got the email from Angie's list with the deal for 8 hours of two painter for 400 dollars I jumped on the opportunity. What a disappointment. As I said I guess I got what I paid for. They came with only a couple drop cloths to protect the floors. I run to get my owns -the ones I like to have handy for my projects which, Incidentally, they took with them when they left) did not prep the walls as carefully and professionally as I was expecting. When I pointed to some cracks that haven't been covered in preparation for painting they told me it would take too long to dry and they may not be able to then finish ..to what I pointed out that I had already agreed that if more time was needed I was willing to pay for another day, I just wanted a job well done. They did have to come back the next day. It felt a bit disconcerting that they gave two coats to one room that first day and none to the other room so the next day when they came they had to wait in between coats. Wouldn't be more reasonable to give one coat to both rooms and then come next day for the second coat? I wander. When they left the first day I went back to the room that hadn't been painted yet and try to cover the cracks they left untouched with some filling I had so it would be better prep for the next day. And then when they were done, I had to come back to the ceiling where the yellowing marks were still there, so I bought a blocking primer and cover that. What surprise me more through the process is that I was never contacted by the owners while the painters were there or afterwards to see if everything was ok. Someone actually came the first day and I thought was coming to talk to me, but mostly wanted to talk to the guys. Anyway, for next time, I don't think it is a good idea to go for a package deal if you are really looking for a professional job.

Five stars aren't enough to express the outstanding work Two Sisters Painting did for us. We requested 8 bids but Two Sisters stood out from the very beginning. We're so glad we chose this company! The painters themselves were professional yet friendly, skilled, meticulous, took great pride in their work, and simply did a fantastic job. They painted the living room, kitchen, hallways and two bedrooms and all ceilings all to complete perfection. They also worked around our schedule a bit due to some issues we had in the mornings and still completed the job within the time frame proposed. We really appreciated the fact that payment wasn't due until a walkthrough inspection to make certain we were satisfied! And boy were we satisfied. You will not be disappointed with Two Sisters Painting. I believe they far exceed other painters and painting companies with their attentiveness, thoroughness, patience and respectability.

There were no troubles with scheduling. Two people worked for about eight hours. They cleaned up very well and you couldn’t tell they were there except that the walls were painting. They met the expectation we had for the work. We also had them back to do some additional work. It was a great experience!

Bought a coupon for 8 hours of painting. Two guys showed up to paint the walls and they finished the job in 4 hours. Paint job was excellent. Guys were personable and eager to please. Moved a huge entertainment center that was not easy to do. We really appreciated that because we are senior citizens. Since I am a perfectionist, it bothered me that they didn't tape off the baseboards or use a drop cloth at all times. They also set drinks, etc. on an antique table and put their paint trays on the bathroom vanity without covering it. I am not sure if I would hire them again.

They were in and out in 1 day and the condo looks amazing. Debra came out and helped me pick out the color, she's easy to work with and very knowledgeable. It was less expensive for her to provide the paint too. Will definitely use them again.

he company itself was great and worked with me on the paint selection and other details. The painter showed up on time and did an excellent job (no drips, edges clean, etc.), but there were some things I didn't appreciate. He started complaining from the moment he hit the door. There was a wallpaper border that needed to be removed and no one had told him. (It ended up coming off very easily and I did mention it twice when scheduling the appointment.) He complained about the stain on the ceiling as well and that the room was bigger than he expected. The complaints subsided as the day went on, but the one thing that bothered me most was that he kept calling me "Hon" or "Sweetheart," or "Babe." I am a 65-year-old woman and do not appreciate being addressed in such a sexist manner. No woman in her right mind would appreciate that. Again, the room looks great, but the painter's deficient interpersonal/social skills made the experience less than ideal.

My expereince turned out fine. They did a good job!

For some reason I was expecting a young college student and to my surprise a military veteran showed up who has been painting for over 20 years. I was very impressed.

Excellent. The owner and workers were great. The whole basement was completed in a day.

It went very well. The first time they were hired to paint some of the ceilings and stairwell in our house to get it ready to put on the market for sale. The last time we had them to paint a section of trim by the garage and two small bathrooms, including the vanity, door, window and shutters. Each time the painters did a very good job.
