Love the shutters and the installer was good. The problem we ordered shutters for another window and was told 6-8 weeks for delivery it has now been two months and just found out today that they were not even ordered. We did make a down payment on the shutters. Just very disappointed that it will probably be next year before the shutter will be installed.

We recently had shutters installed, on 10 windows, from Sunburst Shutters! It was great working with Bill and his entire staff! They were very professional! Bill was most patient, when I was trying to decide, whether to buy them or not. Chuck and I could not be more pleased, with the quality, color and installation. Bill did a great job measuring and creating the perfect shutter ,for each window ~ the employee, who put the shutters together did a great job ~ and Michael did a great job installing them. They have made a huge difference, in our home, and we have gotten lots of compliments! Thank you Bill and your entire staff! Chuck and I will, definitely ,recommend and use this company again!

They arrived on time every visit; measurement and installs. 1st install was a bit disappointing as the custom arch and rectangle didn't fit. They were re-fitted and installed about 3 weeks later. They had to come back one more time to install a trim piece on the bottom of the Arch Shutter.
I had a few disappointments: i was charged 1/2 for my order up front, which was fine. However, when they installed the first set, they billed my credit card without notice when I expected not to get billed until the order was complete (the shutters didn't fit, see above). They did apologize and indicated that it was a new person in the office who did this. 2nd disappointment was that I called to indicate that I thought shutter still wasn't looking correct, they called back that day to discuss, but didn't address the issue for 2 weeks.
All in all, I love my shutters, just a few bumps in the process. Bill was very personable, just need to fine tune the office procedures. (also explain to installer to put tools on floor, not furniture.)

We saw their exhibit at the Home Show this year and signed up for a specail discount they were running at their booth. They called to schedule an estimate a couple of weeks later. Bill came out to do the estimate. He measured everything and showed me all of the options regarding colors and styles, bringing in actual examples of the shutter panels. He explained exactly how they would be installed and operate on my windows and answered all of my questions. The shutters came in within the timeframe they had indicated, and the installation was very quick and professional. The shutters are exactly as I had expected, and I will certainly use this company again to do more rooms in my home.

I was not home when Sunburst Shutters installed my shutters. When I arrived home that day I immediately saw the shoddy workmanship on these shutters. I paid for custom shutters on my windows and there are large gaps on some sides while other sides fit well. Sunlight comes in all around the shutters. In order to make them look acceptable I will have to hang curtains to hid the edges. Also these shutters have clunky hinges that are not recessed into the wood. They really look cheap compared to the beautiful custom shutters I had in my previous home! This company was contracted through Lowe's in Cincinnati. We have called both Lowe's and Sunburst Shutters no less than 10 or 12 times to return these shutters but they have not responded to us. Lowe's told us they would call us back 3 times but didn't. We are so extremely unhappy with these shutters! I am sure we could have done a better job ourselves.

"This post has been erroneously posted to my company. Sunburst Shutters contracts for Lowe's, and Lowe's is the company that the customer hired to do the work. Lowe's is also the company that the customer paid to do the work. We performed the work at her house on behalf of Lowe's but we abide by Lowe's policies and all complaints are handled by Lowe's. The complaints that this customer has filed here are complaints against Lowe's. It went very well. They arrived promptly and finished on time. The technician was very neat and courteous to my home, he took his shoes off. We did have some trouble with the motors on the upper windows, but they are coming back out to take care of that. They were very nice and friendly.

Job went well. I had gotten a line on the company from Lowe's (which were also very helpful & did several follow up calls.) I had originally initiated the deal at the home improvement store and they put me in contact with their Sunburst contact. He came out and measured the windows and gave me as estimate. I then evaluated some other competitors of Sunburst. In the mean time, there was a significant reduction in price that I found to be an attractive inducement. I also had occasion to e-mail Sunburst about the quality of the material used in construction of the shutters. I was promptly responded to, indicating no problems. This made me feel good about going ahead with them.

We ordered the shutters through Home Depot and this was the company contracted out to do deliver and install the shutters. They were excellent. The appointment for delivery was made in a timely manner. They called as they were on their way to confirm their arrival time and the product and installation was very professional & high quality.

A WINDOW WAS ACCIDENTALLY BROKEN DURING INSTALLATION. COMPANY DID EVERYTHING POSSIBLE TO EXPEDITE REPLACEMENT OF WINDOW AND FINISH INSTALLING SHUTTERS, INCLUDING CREDITING THE BALANCE WE OWED. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!
