Spiffy Lawn Mowing & Landscaping

Do not use Spiffy. I used them for about 5 years. Starting in the third year, the owner Scott offered a discount for prepaying the entire season which I took him up on. Each subsequent year he showed up less and less. He rarely showed up during the first few months of this season. I had to take my mower out of storage and cut the lawn myself. Many of us clients contacted him by responding to his group emails to us, but his performance never improved. Several broke ties immediately. I finally broke ties with him in July and he agreed upon a refund for the rest of the season. I messaged him weekly and he gave excuse after excuse then finally stopped responding. He stole over 1/2 a season money from me. Do not use Spiffy.

THEY WOULD SOMETIMES CUT ON SUNDAY OR FRIDAY NIght WHEN I WAS HAVING A POOL PARTY OR ANY DAY YOU NEVER KNEW WHEN. I PAID THEM BY THE MONTH WHEN THEY STILL OWED ME 3 CUTTINGS THEY SAID THAT THEY QUIT I HAVE CALLED LOTS OF TIMES TO SAY THEY OWED ME WHICH THEY AGREED BUT ITS 3 MONTHS NO CHECK

They are good people to work with. The two workers who came out were hard working, clean and didn't smoke which is a rarity. They did a great job and were accommodating to what my wife wanted. I had no problems with them at all!

They're great. I called them out of the blue. Them came and did a great job. They cross cut the lawn and go over it twice. We're gonna stick with them for the summer.

He is going mow my lawn the whole summer. I have used him before.

Spiffy has taken care of my lawn for over 3 years now and their service is great. Scott and his crew have done a great job. Last year during the drought unlike a lot of other providers Spiffy contacted me and informed me that unless requested they would NOT be mowing until rains returned. Now that is a company that cares about the customers!

This is now the 5th day in a row that "Spiffy" has promised to mow our yard and it is long overdue. We would have made other arrangements sooner but we continued to let him lie to us. We've now found someone else to do our yard - would have done so sooner but we trusted this person. Why we trusted him I cannot tell you. When he did mow he left clippings in the beds and really should have bagged the last time he mowed for us (he went 19 days without mowing our yard!). We planned on talking to him about this as we thought maybe it was extra or perhaps he just needed direction. Shame on us for letting him lie to us for this long. We understand this is peak season but why lie? We could have handled the truth and would have worked with him. What a disappointment.

I was contacted by Scott Steepleton of Spiffy Lawn Service after I requested quotes to Aerate my yard in 2011 on Service Magic. Of the three companies provided, Scott responded with a quote. He was the only company that responded to my request. The quote was reasonable and scheduled date was arrangemented to perform the job. Scott arrived at the specified time and completed the requested job. Spiffy Lawn Service was contacted in 2012 to again aerate my yard. A quote was provided by Scott and the job was completed. While Scott was doing the job, I asked him about overseeding. He provided me an on the spot estimate,which was extemely reasonable and I had him complete that job also. I plan to contact him again for a quote to do some Landscape work.

He was working next door at the neighbors house doing a lot of landscaping work and I asked him to come over and check out some work I needed done, we talked for a few minutes and he said he would work up a quote for me. The very next day I was amazed to see him running heavy lawn equipment and trailers around the side of my house and through my back yard to access the neighbors yard without my permission. There was also debris in front of my house and trampled grass by the sidewalk. When I confronted him about this his only response was that he could not understand why I would be so upset by this and that it was no big deal that my yard would recover. I insisted that he fix up my yard which he did. He never gave me a quote.

Their prices are very reasonable and they do good work.

They were wonderful.
