Matt Spannan was recommended to me by a mutual friend. Matt and his partner were timely, worked quickly and were courteous. Matt repaired some of the exterior tasks, such as reattaching a gutter and trim that had pulled loose from the house. His partner hung 2 sets of window blinds which I could not figure out how to do. What I was really thrilled with was that Matt's partner was able to fix the locking mechanism on the sliding patio door. One of the latches had become stuck in its position so that the door could neither be closed nor locked because a bolt or screw protruded outward. This malfunction was extremely frustrating. Another repairman tried to fix it but ended up suggesting that I buy a new locking mechanism and handle. This door was made by Peachtree, and a replacement mechanism for the lock was over $200.00. Then, even if I ordered a new lock, I would have to pay someone to install it, so I thought I for that money I might replace the entire patio door. Matt's partner was able to fix the lock and both top and bottom latches on the door, which saved me a great deal of trouble and expense. Matt also replaced both my old 1974 outdated porch and lamppost light fixtures with new ones I had already purchased. They also provided a very reasonable estimate for painting/staining the deck but did not have time to do so that day. I was very pleased with all their repairs. They probably did more than what I stated here, but being late in providing timely feedback, I have forgotten everything they did. I felt they repaired and installed a great many things for a very reasonable cost.

When I first contacted Matt about 2 weeks ago, Matt responded to my request by calling me, which I really appreciated. I set my initial appointment for 3:00 pm. The two gentlemen arrived 15 minutes early. Matt had called me prior to their arrival. They were very polite and professional. I explained to them what I needed. The most timely needed job was having a door relocated and a quote for having a dog ramp installed. We set another appointment for 5/29/14 @ 1:00 to have the door relocated. Matt and Mike arrived a few minutes before 1:00 and went right to work with the door. They were finished within 15 minutes. A good job was done and one less thing on my list to do!

Both men were extremely professional and did an outstanding and thorough job with the entire project. They clearly explained the process and gave us a superior end product. This even required them returning to our home three times because of weather conditions. We were especially impressed with their knowledge, courteousness, and timeliness.

It was excellent.. They were very polite. They called ahead when you needed to be home. the best expirience ive had with contractors.

I had MG Contracting come out and do some touch up painting and paint my study. I have used them before and was very pleased with their work! They were punctual, professional and did a great job! I will be using them again for any further home repairs, etc.

I live and own a home in the Broadripple area. I wanted to hire someone that is knows how to work on older homes and who also has a lot of experience in home improvement, etc. I was referred to MG Contracting my a friend of mine and couldn't be any happier with the quality of work that was provided. I had a dog door taken out of one wall, put in another wall, repair to the dog door opening that required dry wall and siding work, dry wall put in my basement to finish a wall that needed to be done, painting upstairs for the dog door and downstairs, work on my fence outside and cables for suround sound speakers put into the walls in the basement! I am VERY pleased with the work Matt and Mark did! I will definitely use them again and refer them to my friends and family.
