The whole experience was very smooth, efficient, friendly, and professional. Mary and Tammy were super helpful in helping me find the right pile and density of carpet for our great room, as their showroom has so many styles of carpet and flooring to choose from. Installers were extremely careful in moving furniture and efficient in removing the old carpet & pad, as well as installing the new. I was also appreciative at receiving the Home Show discount. This is the third time I have worked with Mary, and each time has been a perfect experience. Highly recommend!

Absolutely great! Tammy scheduled the extensive demolition while we were out of town for 10 days due to our allergy concerns. She supervised experienced and trustworthy workers who did an excellent job in our home while we were gone and after we returned. The clean up from the demolition was not as bad as we had feared and we love our new porcelain and hardwood floors, quartz countertops and stainless steel sink.

While my wife was in back of house painting are bedroom 1 of the 2 men that was there putting carpet in decided to go snooping around and found my wifes purse and stole $440 dollars out of it I called manager and she was not willing to do anything about it and believes her installer over homeowner if we were lying I would have made it at least the price of the carpet which was 2600 So I wouldn't request them to put anything in THEY JUST MIGHT ROB U

They told us at our initial sit down that they would be sending a team out to our house to complete this install. The team was one person. Seemed like he would go in between different jobs along with ours. Only a few days were spent totally at our house. This is what dragged the install out. Nothing against the person that installed it the company needs to put more hands on deck. Had issues with stair steps breaking. Then they repair stair with warped board. Still currently waiting to get the stair corrected. We feel they were quick to take money but slow on fixing the issues. Photo attached is the warped board they placed on the stairs.

My husband didn't want ceramic tile. He wanted same flooring we used in kitchen, laundry room and half bath called dura-ceramic put out by Congoleum. It is put down with adhesive. The tiles are 16x16. It is warm, soft and you can't hurt it. When you put it down with grout, it looks just like ceramic. Mainstyle has a whole display of Dura-Ceramic. I took several samples to my contractor to compare with my bathroom remodeling. They helped carry out my samples and said I could keep for a week to see in my home. I took everything back and told her I needed to see other things. She let me take 3 more and keep them as long as I wanted. We took them to our contractor to compare. They have worked with us so well. She already had our measurements from our contractor! He had already sent her pictures and measurements and had them ready the next day.

The quality of the products were good. With the hardwood they did not put the cushion underneath the hardwood floors, they just used the tar paper. I would tell people you need to make sure that happens because when you get into colder weather there are places it makes noise because it's not the cushion under there.
I think I got better pricing from another place.

Thanks to all of the rain in July and a power outage, the lower level of our tri level flooded.  We had planned to replace the carpet in the entire house soon anyway, so decided that now was the time to replace it.  We have used Mainsyle Flooring before but we only purchased the flooring there - we did not have it installed.  So rather than shop around we decided to go with them.  The salesperson was new but was helpful for the most part.  After our first contact, she wasn't usually there when I went back so I talked to someone different every time.  Someone came out to measure and we ordered our carpet.  As far as the scheduling goes any delays were on our part because it took a little longer than we thought to finish the rest of the repairs in the lower level.  Mainstyle was very patient in dealing with our delays.  They also agreed to put our carpet in over two days per our request because we had to move out alot of things.  This was at no additional charge.
The first day went well as far as the carpet installation goes.  But this was the first time the communication problems cropped up.  We were told by the salesperson that they would attempt to fix the squeaks in our stairs.  They did say attempt and did not make any guarantees.  However, the contractor indicated that there wasn't much he could do but put in a few nails and that probably wouldn't fix it.  Then we found out that a couple of the stairs were broken.  Since the stairs were to be carpeted on the second day, this meant my husband had to rush home and put in some new stair treads during a very long evening to be ready for the next day.  He would have done this much sooner if he'd known that it wasn't part of the deal.
 The next day, the installation went well again until we found out they ran out of carpet and couldn't do our stairs.  They went ahead and put in the carpet tacks and padding on the stairs and called the store.  The store said it could be a week to get more carpet in but it would be the same dye lot.  No explanations on why they ran out of carpet.  In the meantime, we found out that our built in desk in one of the bedrooms was leaning to one side.  They had carpeted under one side but not the other.
I called and left a message about the issue with the desk but didn't hear back.  About three days later I received a call that the carpet was in and they could install it the next work day Monday.  This was great and faster than we thought.  I told the person that called that 1 - I was upset they ran out of carpet in the first place, 2 - the problem with the desk, 3 - the carpet pad on the stairs would need replaced because it was getting damaged from traffic up and down the stairs.   He said that was fine.
When the installers came back, they started to install the carpet.  I told them that the person at the store said they would replace the pad on the stairs.  They did then replace the pad.  I told them about the desk.  This was the first they'd heard about that.  My husband had fixed the height issue with the desk but a small hole needed patched so they did that. 
Overall, we like the carpet and the installers did a nice job.  I just felt like the whole experience was very stressful and many of the issues I had would have been less stressful if the store had communicated better with me and the installers.  After the job was completed, I expected to get a call asking how everything went.  The only call I received was for payment.  I explained my frustrations at that time.  I also filled out a comment card briefly explaining the above.   I've never heard back from the owners or salesperson, but based on other reviews on here I expect I will see a reply now........

From beginning to end, it was fairly smooth.  The sales people were very nice and really seemed to care about what we actually wanted.  They did not try and pressure us into upgrading or getting the "best" carpet, but showed us the difference between some upon our request.  They were very accommodating to our schedule.  We had to cancel twice and push back our installation date.  The installers came a little later than stated, but we were given a call that they were running behind.  The installers were very courteous and walked us through the basement upon completion.  We were very pleased with the overall experience.  The pricing was reasonable and they help out the military and public safety families with a small discount.  We will return for further jobs if they arise.

Initial contact with salesperson went well.  However we were told that the installers were employees of Mainstyle Flooring when in fact they were not, they are subcontractors.  We were also told the install project would take 5 days, when in fact it took 12 days.  On the first day the installers damaged our ceramic entry way tile and we lost about 1/3 of the entry way tile due to their error.  Installers parked trucks in driveway and one of their trucks leaked and left a large oil stain in our driveway.  After pointing  this oil spot out to them they did clean it up.  When the 4 installers arrived they indicated that they did not know what they were supposed to do, I then explained where the floor was to be installed.  The installers did not communicate well with us.  they did not tell us when they were leaving at the end of the day.  After the first day, I contacted the salesperson and the owner explaining what took place.  I was told by both of them that they would  follow up with the installers.  I was also told by them that they would be in contact with me to make sure everything was going well.  I never heard back from anyone until I went to the office in person on April 9th, which was day 9th day of a project that was supposed to take 5 days.  I asked when they thought they would be finished.  No one seemed to know and they said they would get back with me.  At that point things started moving much faster.  However, after a supervisor came to the house and found several things that were not done properly.  These mistakes were corrected.  However, the next day when the finish installer came out more mistakes were found, such as a large gouge in the dining room floor as well as large amount of glue that was not cleaned up at the time of installation.    This put them even further behind.  Eventually these mistakes were corrected.  We gave the owners every opportunity to come out to our house to see what was taking place, and they chose not to.  The end result, the owner finally came out and we showed her the worst of the glue that was never removed.  She was able to remove most spots.  She offered to come out again, but we explained we would remove the rest of the glue spots ourselves.  In closing the floors look nice, but the entire experience working with Mainstyle Flooring was very stressful.

Had vinyl put down in several different rooms. We personally hired a seperate contractor who works through the company. The company subcontracts him to perform work. Orange spots have started appearing on the vinyl flooring. It started 3-4 years ago. I thought I could live with it, but it just keeps getting worse. I have already called the company several times and they are refusing to honor the warranty offered by the vinyl brand Armstrong.

At the time of our initial contact with you we explained that Mainstyle Flooring purchased the assets of Indiana Carpet Service in 2006. We did not assume any liability of Indiana Carpet Service. Since your vinyl was installed in 2003 this would fall under the liabilities of Indiana Carpet Service and would not be a responsibility of Mainstyle Flooring to assume. As a courtesy to you we contacted the manufacturer on January 28, 2015 and filed a claim on your behalf, including the photos you had provided. The manufacturer responded that this claim was not covered under the manufacturer’s warranty as discoloration of the flooring was not considered a manufacturing issue. They also stated that the flooring was exhibiting general wear that is consistent with the age of the flooring. Mainstyle Flooring reported these findings in a letter to you dated February 3, 2015. We then considered the matter closed. Mainstyle Flooring feels that we have gone above and beyond the scope of our duties to assist you with your flooring issues from another company. We have provided information to both you and the manufacturer of your flooring when requested. We have answered your phone calls and have done our best to assist you with issues from flooring installed over 12 years ago. We are certainly understanding of your situation, but we cannot be responsible for this claim. Mainstyle Flooring hopes that you find resolution to your claim. LOVE LOVE LOVE! From start to finish, we had a great experience. Eric, who came (for free!) to draw exact floor plans for our home did an amazing job and took a very accurate detailed replica of it back to Mainstyle. We worked with Jessica Fleenor for the sale. She was very in tune with what our needs were, and used the floor plan drawings to get JUST THE RIGHT AMOUNT of carpeting for us to purchase. On two other estimates, there were higher carpeting costs. Jessica even did an ammonia test for us, because we purchased pet protect carpeting. The roll of carpeting was made just for us, and the install crew was so fast!  They had it torn out, padded and installed in less than 12 hours. Clean up was great, too! I would totally recommend this company again!

The carpet was not properly installed.  Thus it started coming apart at the seems. My daughter is a building inspector.  I have several clients who install carpet.  All of them told me the problem was due to improper installation.  I contacted the landlord.  MainStyle sent her a letter which she forwarded to me claiming the problem was due to customer abuse.  This is nonsense and dishonest.  We don't do anything that would be abusive to the carpet.  The only place we are having problems is with the seem coming apart.  They just don't want to step up to their responsibility to stand behind their installers.  I caution everyone, do not use this company.  I'm surprised they have as many good ratings as they do.  They have been dishonest and totally lack integrity to me.
