Not well. The startup was fine. But when no one came out to do the mid-summer inspection and adjustment, I finally e-mailed on 9/5/17. Brian responded that he was scheduled to come out in two days. He never did. After he shut down the system in late October, I asked him if he did the mid-season inspection. Brian sent me an e-mail detailing what he claimed he had done - on 8/18/17. I asked him to explain the discrepancy, as he told me several weeks after 8/18 that he hadn't done it yet. He never responded. In other words, he didn't do any inspection or adjustment, then lied to me about it.

GREAT! Company kept me informed, and arrived promptly as promised.

Brian was great to deal with. Contacted me to get all services that were a part of the annual package set-up. No worrying on my end about remembering to schedule. Will continue to use Brian for sprinkler maintnenance.

Services were rendered on time and without issue.

Everything went great. For the first time I felt like I didn't have to keep checking on the system or maintainging in anyway myself. Service was always done on the day it was scheduled; and there was no guess work on when Brian would be there as there was always a schedule set. I couldn't be more pleased at how the summer went and how great my yard looks.

Wonderful service...inspected each sprinkler and even discussed ways to help "green-up" specific areas of my lawn. Also provided me with and extra 'key' to adjust the sprinklers since I only had one.

Brian came and performed spring startup and backflow test. He is knowledgeable, professional and polite.

Brian was prompt and friendly. I recently moved into my home and needed to get the irrigation system up and running. Brian checked out the entire system, replaced bad heads at a very reasonable cost, and went step by step through the programming process with me and made sure I understood completely.

Turned to Brian when my previous supplier went out of business. Has done a fantastic job and is able to give me enough heads up to schedule far enough in advance - key challenge for me with other vendors. I continue to use him and have no reason to change. Have used him for exterior landscape lighting and am very happy with his service. Plan on extending my sprinklers into the back yard as well.

Called Brian to come out and shut down my system for the winter and also to check for a problem with clearing the lines. He called and indicated the date and time he would be there. He arrived exactly when he said he would. He winterized the system and checked for problems and after inspection told be that everything was good. I indicated I wanted hi to come out I the Spring and do the start-up and backflow test. He did an excellent job and I will definitely be calling him again in the spring.

Great. Brian is very pleasant and professional. Highly recommend him. More work with Brian the more we like him...good, honest businessman with a great personality.

Brian is great. We initially used him for backflow testing a year ago but were so impressed with his expertise, professionalism, and excellent communication that we've continued his services. Brian is honest and shows up when he says he will.

After my initial phone call, Brian was prompt to reply with a cost list of services offered. He came out in May to open our system, repair a number of heads that had worn out and did the annual Backwash check for the water company. Brian was prompt and very reasonable with costs for other irrigation issues which occurred during our mid-summer check-up! I am planning to continue our irrigation services with Brian, and would recommend his service to others!

We were experiencing a serious leak in our front yard. I called Brian Ray as he had previously installed “new” equipment on July 18, 2013. Within 24 hours of his installation our landscape company noticed a small puddle around some shrubs in the front yard while cutting the grass, a weekly event. They brought the water to our attention on July 19. Because our irrigation pit is located directly beside the neighbor’s pit on the property line, we wrongly assumed the leak was coming from their equipment as the water had puddled in their shrubs as well. The following Friday, July 26, our landscape company again notified us that the leak was continuing. After approaching the neighbors regarding the problem it was discovered that the leak was indeed coming from our property. I called Brian Ray to check out the irrigation system he installed and recently serviced to inquire. He came out to our home within 1 business day. He stated to my husband, in no uncertain terms, there was a leak but “it was not the irrigation system” and advised us to call our utility company, which we did. The utility company arrived within a couple of hours and indicated the issue was indeed the irrigation system. By this time the water was flowing rapidly and our yard resembled a small pond. I then proceeded to call an excavation/plumbing company for assistance. They arrived within 24 hours. Before starting to address any issues they stated “whatever the problem is - we will discover it - take photos/video to reveal the actual cause of the problem". We would need to agree to live with wherever the facts led. After several hours of excavation and a few thousand dollars in repair, the data pointed solely to the irrigation company and Brian using substandard parts/accessories and subpar work performance. Which was the consensus by the utility company as well - IT WAS THE IRRIGATION SYSTEM. (Brian Ray asserted to us merely hours before he was in no way responsible nor was it an irrigation problem.) The following day we contacted a REAL irrigation professional which is reputable and credentialed. After nearly 3 hours of investigative work (including examining the busted irrigation pipe retrieved by the excavators) the conclusion was irrefutable - subpar work performance, substandard, used parts (rather than “new” parts which we paid for) caused the irrigation line to rupture at the water main. Upon further investigation it was revealed Brian Ray tampered with the Back Flow Test Tag (Violation of 327 IAC B-10 of the IDEM). In addition to tampering with the tag Brian Ray used a logo of another company on the tag. This company has never heard of Brian Ray and is not responsible for any work performed at our residence. We have contacted the owner of this company. I would suggest all Angie’s List consumers who have used Brian Ray for irrigation check their Back Flow Test Tag. The tag should be covered with transparent, clear shield rather than a tag which was previously used. The repairs necessary to have an operational, system which meets code will cost us thousands of dollars. Brian Ray advertises that he guarantees/warranties his work. The work performed by him was completed within 30 days and within the past 48 hours he has flatly denied the problem was with the irrigation system at all. The consensus from all parties - the utility company, the excavation company, the plumbing company and a reputable irrigation company all have the same conclusion: There is no doubt the ruptured pipe was a result of subpar work with substandard, used (rather than new) components and those factors were a direct result of the defect. DO NOT EVER TRUST THIS MAN! HE IS NOT QUALIFIED TO PERFORM ANY TYPE OF IRRIGATION SERVICE. HE CHARGES FOR “NEW” PARTS AND USES SUBSTANDARD EQUIPMENT. HE IS SIMPLY DISHONEST. HE HAS VIOLATED THE LAW WITH REGARD TO TAMPERING WITH A BACKFLOW TAG. We will seek any/all remedies available to us, including but not limited to, the IDEM (tampering of tag), IPLA (standards and ethics associated with a license), the Attorney General’s office and litigation. If this site will allow, I am happy to post photos of the shoddy work and subsequent problems due to the work of Brian Ray.

Brian was great, punctual, responsive and did a nice job tuning my irrigation system. Recommended him to my brother in law and he did a bang up job there too.

He did a great job as well. He is coming back out to do some follow-up work for me. He is my new sprinkler guy. He charges $75 for the service call. I liked him because he was very responsive in terms of when he said he could get out. He showed up on time, which I think is always a good thing. He seems to me like a normal guy who knew what he was doing. He took pride in what he was doing. He knows the sprinkler stuff. We went through it and asked me if anything had happened that, he needed to know. I told him about the sprinkler head getting damaged when they built the house next door. He seemed like a guy that I would want to work with and his prices are very reasonable. He is better than the previous guy that I was using. I went ahead and signed up with him for a year’s service.

We have been very pleased. All went smoothly. They were on-time and professional. They were very helpful. We have since had them out to turn it back on.

He went through the whole system with me, he is very fair, honest, and his customer service is good. I can call him and he is very responsive. I believe that his prices are competitive. His customer service is the most outstanding. If I have a problem, I can call him and he will fit me in. He will winterize it and then de-winterize it. They put a chemical in the system to winterize it and then to de-winterize it they have to flush out all of those chemicals. He is delightful to deal with. I will continue to use him.

I purchased a Big Deal coupon for Lawn Irrigation & Landscape Lighting. He did an overall good job. I was very happy with the work. He made some suggestions that indicated to me that he knew what he was doing, he's got a lot of experience. He went over all the procedures and showed me all the procedures in the Rain Bird system that I was not aware of and showed me how to do that. He was so good that I told him to put me on this list and come back in the fall to turn the system off and that would cost me $80.

I called Brian the morning of 4/18 and explained the problem. He gave me a phone quote and said he would be able to service the system that same day. He arrived at the time he said he would, determined the valve was defective, and replaced it. I was completely satisfied with Brian and his service. I will use him in the future to perform the annual back-flow check.

I first used Lawn Irrigation to start up my irrigation system last spring. Since that time I use them for all of my irrigation system servicing and modifications. The prices are reasonable, the staff is knowledgable and the service spectacular. I have no reservations recommending Lawn Irrigation for all of your irrigation needs.
