Perfect. Professional from the get go. Great follow up. Arrived on schedule, cleaned up the mess, and did a great job.

Ken is very punctual and professional. He has always responded quickly to my inquires and is able to schedule the job within a week. Very clean - no painting mess left behind. He patched and textured a ceiling for us on our last project and did an excellent job - it exceeded our expectations. I should have requested and paid for 2 coats of paint on the walls - my fault, not his. I've already contacted him regarding another interior job.

He gets all A's across the board, he was neat, clean and prompt!

He did a fairly good job, and the price was very reasonable. He was very clean. He operates by himself, so it takes him a little longer.

We didn't care for him too much. He left drip marks and the walls were not painted completely. He was pleasant, but I just didn't think the quality of the work was that good. He is a very nice person, very personable, showed up on time and worked a long time, but the quality is not great.

This was my first bad experience using someone who was fairly well rated on Angies list. First, the preparation prior to painting was poor. After he completed washing with high pressure water, I pointed out that the gutters on two sides of the house clearly needed further cleaning due to substantial mold and lichen growth that remained. I even cleaned a 10 foot section with soap and an abrasive sponge to show how easily it could be done, taking less than 10 minutes. Upon returning from work, I found that he painted right over the filth, this being very obvious by comparison of the area I cleaned to the rest of the gutters he didn't clean (he claimed he had cleaned them further, but if he did, it was no where near the cleaning I had completed in 10 minutes). Since paint doesn't stick well to dirt, the paint will likely begin to peel from the gutters after a year or two. Secondly he applied only 1 coat of paint, which was clearly way too thin, the gutters in particular looking terrible. When I asked him to put a second coat on, he said his quote was only for 1 coat. When I pulled the quote out, and pointed out that it said nothing about only 1 coat, he said he must have forgot to add that this time, but could put a second coat on the gutters for $275! After a bit of serious discussion he agreed to include the second coat on the gutters which made them look good. But I then had to spend 4 hours on the following Saturday touching up all of the rest of the trim which clearly needed a second coat in areas. Thankfully he left 3/4 of a can of paint. On the positive side, Ken was polite and his work was neat with clean edges and minimal spatter, but that in no way makes up for all of the above issues. Just in case you think I'm just a difficult to please person, you can check my other ratings which have all been very positive.

Ken came out very promptly, listened to our requests and promptly submitted a quote. We ended up using another painter who was closer to us, but their prices were very close.

Ken did a very good job with a difficult assignment. The wallpaper had been there for 17 years and was not done really well. He did a good job on the removal of the wallpaper and painting. He was able to work with our schedules, which was very nice. He was easy to work with. I would use them again in the future and would recommend them to others.

He did a fine job but the price was a little high. I would probably use them again if need be and would probably recommend them to others. Ken does a great job. He is very meticulous and is a very good painter.

KEN ZAHORA IS STEADY, QUIET, RELIABLE, AND PROFESSIONAL. HE GAVE US AN ACCURATE ESTIMATE OF THE TIME REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE WORK, AND A SCHEDULE OF WHEN HE WOULD BE WORKING. HE USED TOP-QUALITY PAINT, AND LEFT US A PARTIAL GALLON FOR TOUCH-UP WHEN NEEDED. HE CLEANED UP EVERY DAY, AND MADE SURE THAT WE WERE SATISFIED WHEN HE FINISHED. KEN WORKS ALONE AND IS UNOBTRUSIVE. LIKES TO PLAY CLASSICAL MUSIC WHILE HE WORKS.

ESTIMATE DID NOT INCLUDE TRIM AND WAS FOR ONLY ONE COAT OF PAINT. IT DID INCLUDED RE-GLAZING A FRONT WINDOW AND CAULK WHERE NEEDED. I FELT THEY WERE TOO EXPENSIVE.
