Description of Work: They measured and made custom sheers for three windows in my house. I did not take delivery for the reasons mentioned below. The experience with the custom decorating was the was the worst, least professional experience I have ever had with any type of in-home service. Here is my story: a) Ordered custom sheers for 3 windows on October 5 which were promised on Nov 29, although my representative said I should have them by Thanksgiving. b) Never received any call by the due date of Nov 29. Finally drove to the store to inquire the status to learn: * My sales rep was no longer with the company and no one knew much about my order. * After asking 3 people, one sales person looked up the order in the system to find out that the hardware vendor claimed to have delivered hardware that the staging warehouse claimed not to have. This is not my problem and JCPenney acted like this excuse was not their problem. * Called the regional manager who did call back and indicate they finally found the hardware and they could schedule delivery. By this time, I couldn't take delivery since my Christmas tree was up. * Got a bill for the required deposit on my Penney charge card with a late charge on it - the first bill I got from them. Should not have been billed a late charge. * Received no consideration from them for their lateness, rude service or inability to figure out how to get the order on track. * Cancelled the order, lost $170 in the deposit, and will never deal with them again. I had used their services in other cities successfully for shutter and drape installation. This Indianapolis team was a total and complete service disaster and acted like they were not responsible. They could care less about customer service. It was consistent with every person I spoke with. I am starting all over with a new service. Ann Carnahan 12.17.10

 + -1 moreThe first sitting was with my three children (ages 6, 2, and 3 months). Rachel was our photographer. She did a fantastic job taking the photos as well as helping me keep the children entertained and focused on what we were doing. Not an easy task given their ages! It's obvious that she loves children and this shows with the care she takes when setting up the photos and taking them. I ended up ordering portraits of each child individually, as well as the three of them together. The second sitting was with our entire family. Again, with our children's ages, it was a bit challenging, but the photographers worked well with us and they were very busy the day we were there. We used a couple of different backgrounds which required extra work on the part of the studio staff, and even though they were busy, they never let us feel rushed or that we needed to finish quickly. It took a bit longer than I would have liked to choose photos once they were ready to view, but I think that was more our fault than theirs. We ended up ordering several portraits for ourselves and family members as well as Christmas cards.
Description of Work: I had two portrait sittings this month - one for portraits of my children in Halloween costumes and one for family portraits.

 + -1 moreJennifer Oechsie came out and took the measurements and wrote up the order. She was very nice. Then 2 gentlemen came out and hung them. They were very careful and thorough.

 + -1 moreIt was very nice. Virginia Rafferty came first to bring the samples and measure and she checked back with me once they were placed. I was very much impressed.
Description of Work: They just made new drapes for me. They came to the house and measured. They brought samples. They had a special going before Christmas.

 + -1 moreThey were able to schedule us within one day with a really nice stylist, Carmela Monie. She is very professional and conscientious and my daughter really likes her hair when she goes there. The scheduling system is the only unprofessional thing about the salon and is either too confusing or has system problems that allow for misbooking and double booking of clients. This has happened at least twice.
Description of Work: Daughter needed a relaxer and trim in a short time frame.

 + -1 moreBeautician was courteous and apologized for any delays. This is a new store on Michigan Rd. Most salons will have you fill out a new client card when its your first visit. This was not done here. Cost was pricey compared to other salons.
