 + 6 moreI paid $4,000 up front for a job that was to cost me over $8,000 on completion. McMasters walked off the job after demanding an additional $2500 from me, when all he did was spackle...and he was present only sporadically! I can't believe the audacity of these people. It's a good thing I didn't give him more money. I am a single mom and I've been taken advantage of. McMasters claims I OWE him money...he claims his cost for re-spackling existing drywall, putting on one coat of paint, and hanging a door is valued at $4,378.98! It is laughable...if it didn't hurt so much. Michael McMasters referred to my friend as a *expletive* when he called on my behalf to try to get him to come back and finish the job. This man should not be in business. I've been robbed.
Description of Work: The job was never completed. Michael McMasters, owner of the company, told me he would do finishing work on existing drywall that was put up in a loft area over my garage. He gave me an estimate on completing the spackling, painting, adding a window seat, adding a PTAC unit for heating and air conditioning, putting down a vinyl tile floor, trim work and install an attic fan. McMasters barely showed up. He did some spackling. I then contacted his partner, Vic Becker, and asked if he would please do some work as the job had not progressed after two weeks. Vic painted and hung a door. Then they both disappeared from the job.
