Jeff explained when I called that he was short handed and over booked and that it would be Monday (this was Friday) before he would get to it. This was ok with me although, since it is my business vehicle, he knew it was important. Two hours later he called and said it would be ready at about 5pm that night. He gave me some extra help on the cost, knowing that the van had just been in for a $900 repair a few weeks earlier. This is typical of the service Jeff provides. He is very busy but manages to respond to the needs of his customers whenever possible. I can always get straight answers and know that he is looking out for me. He is an important factor in the operation of my business and I know I can always count on him

While I though the car may need an alignment along with new tires, Hopkins said that it was just the tires. They were right, and the tires they recommended are great and we're as expensive as some of the others I looked at. I've been taking our family cars to Hopkins for years, wouldn't go anywhere else. They only do the work that needs to be done and they do it well.

They gave options to drive my husband home and pick him up so he wouldn't have to wait. They also honored a 30 day warranty and also quoted a price and lowered the price because they got the parts for less and replacing the bushings.

I had a quote from a national chain that was about 100 dollars higher and I would have had to wait 3 days longer to get it in. He took it in and fixed it. I didn't even have to listen to the normal list of additional problems I "had" to have fixed.

He does superb service and can always get you in right away when it's an emergency. He's good about scheduling around the customers needs and always looks to do the work the most financially feesable way, considering the customers needs but also the age of the car. He's just the best!

See above. I was expecting to make an appointment for service and Jeff fixed it on the spot without charge. Great service!

I called a week ahead and scheduled the maintenance. Jeff was able to give me an estimate and asked that I clarify with my dealer whether the timing belt had ever been replaced. Since it had not, he said to plan on about $1000 total (including several other things, oil change, fluid checks, tire rotation etc). The car was ready to be picked up by mid afternoon and the cost was just as Jeff estimated. The estimate from my dealer for the 100,000 mile service was $1800.

They are very friendly and do excellent work. Their turnaround time is very quick, usually within the same day! We'll definitely continue to use them.

We were very happy with them. Because the oil leak involved so much labor, they went ahead and changed the timing belt. We have had an oil leak before in the front and rear seals, and we already spent $1500.00 at the dealer before. We thought someone had to be cheaper than the dealer. We read the good reviews about Hopkin Automotive and took it in there. The housing of the oil pump had to be re-sealed. He put a new water pump in because the leak was right next to the water pump, which was the original water pump on the car. We decided since the car had 126,000 miles on it we we might as well get that replaced too, Instead of having it go out in 2 months and having to pay all of the labor again. The price was far better than the dealer's price. They couldn't get to us for about 9 days, because they had a lot of cars. We called and talked to them and they were up front about that. The car was drivable until then. It took them a whole day to work on the car.

He does and excellent job and is fair priced.

Jeff, the owner was extremely accomodating in getting me in on short notice despite being short staffed that day. The brakes sounded terrible and we were very grateful to get them fixed immediately.

Fantastic experience. I felt these guys were honest, charged an acceptable price for the job (less than dealer and with better service), explained future "watch" items that the dealer wanted to charge me for now -- and only after I asked, anticipated future costs to help me with decisions on the car. They were easy to work with, did a great job, and will go back and will recommend.

Outstanding as usual. Lubricated the belts which eliminate the high pitch noise. Alerted us that we only had about 2000 miles left on our rear brakes, very timely & helpful since we were planning on driving to FL for a vacation.

We were originally referred to Hopkins (somewhat begrudgingly) by another local mechanic who couldn't get a needed repair done in a timely manner. We were so pleased with the service from Hopkins that we have stayed with them since. Jeff Hopkins is knowledgeable and honest. He has been incredibly helpful with information to prioritize repairs of an older car. On more than one occasion he has done minor repairs or offered advice without charge. We appreciate the old-fashioned personable service and high-quality work. We are thrilled to have found such a trustworthy mechanic!

He said that he would be on the phone all day if they did estimate over the phone and I would have to leave my car there all day to even get an estimate. He wasn't really rude or anything but it was upsetting that I couldn't get a price. I called five other places and every other one gave me an estimate over the phone. I was disappointed because of their high Angie's List rating.

The car has had several, costly repairs from the dealer and without satisfactory resolution or passable customer service. Hopkins, though very busy, scheduled me within one week, took time with the car, found two minor problems and then a more substantial problem requiring a part they did not have. They found the part, installed it and though they they had the car for the entire day, charged me for one hour's worth of labor. The part cost more than the labor-which never happens anymore. Very professional, courteous, friendly and cost-effective. Will absolutely do business with Hopkins Automotive in the future.

They accomplished the work promptly. Jeff called to tell me give me the diagnosis. Later the same day, Jeff called to say that the work was complete.

They literally talked me out of spending money with them. Wow. They also gave me advice of how to talk to the dealership about the transmission to try to get them (the dealership) to pay for it (which they did by the way).

Been using Hopkins for years. Many times I've taken my car in with a list of concerns and dreaded the phone call with the verdict. Most times I've needed minor repairs. This time I took my car in for an oil change and checkup before winter. They called me well before the 3:00 pm time I'd asked for and said my car was ready. He wanted me to know my drive belt would probable last me another six months before it broke. They know my budget is limited and I usually have to plan for larger repairs. We discussed the cost. He said I'm not trying to talk you into anything now. Just wanted you to be aware. He said that's something that usually happens with older Saturns, so they watch for it. I like that. It keeps me safe. My car is very old. A 93 Saturn with 85,000 miles. Although I trust his best guess, I didn't want to worry about it through the winter. I know they are busy and only scheduled time for the check up. So I was relieved when he said they could go ahead and fix it for me. He called me a couple of hours later and I picked it up. Cost was exactly what we discussed. If it had been any other shop I'd have taken it for a second opinion. I trust that when he tells me I need a repair, I need it.

He is has always been honest and straight forward and does not do any work unless it is authorized. I always know the cost of the repair before anything is done and there has not been any time where I have not been satisfied.

We appreciated their ACCURATE diagnostics. They know what they are doing!! We will be taking all 4 of our cars to them from now on!!!

They are good, they are quick, they are clean, and provide everything that you would look for in an automotive shop. Their pricing is also reasonable and they never seem to charge me for services I don't need.

They are very honest and reliable people. I have used them several times and will use them again in the future.

Excellent- too bad you cannot give these guys an A+ in the categories!

We were recently gifted a car from my grandfather, a 1997 Buick Century with 27,000 miles on it. (A perfect car for our new driver). We knew it needed new brakes and a new turn signal light we also scheduled an oil change. The workers at Hopkins called to let us know that we would also need new front rotors ours had rusted pretty badly. We were expecting to pay more than $1000 for this service (we have had experiences with auto dealer service shops in the past). Imagine our surprise when we were told the total was less than $500.00, and that was after the new sales tax increase! We will never take our automobiles anywhere else. Oh yes, Jeff, the technician, also told my husband that the manifold seal would need replaced, but not at least for another 6,000 miles, so we should wait and have it done at a later time. Honest service like this is almost never heard of anymore. What a gem these folks are at Hopkins Automotive!
