"In this particular project there were many factors that caused the job flow to be a bit unstable. My customers had changed their minds several times, on the basic layout of the building, adding more work to the job. We understand that people have the right to change their minds once the project begins. We do not penalize our customers with additional fees if they want certain aspects of their project altered. We understand that things look different on paper than they do when the building begins to come to life. However, when the project is changed, special time and extra ordering of material is required. In this case, the material my customer requested for their deck was special order, and we had to wait a week before we got the materials on the job-site. We took the week that we waited for the materials to work on another project (As the owner, I owe it to my employees to keep them working full time). Most contractors would charge the customer a change order for such changes, or add-ons to a job. We at Hights Buildings do not. Not only did we stop in the middle of the job to give the customer what they wanted, but we gave them an additional discount due to the fact that we promise to not only match our competitors, but we will beat their price by an additional 10%. We built their project for $17,000. The closest bid to us(and there were 4), was 18,500, and that was not including the changes they made to the project half way through. We also did their fence work for free, working directly with the customer so that their motorized gate could stay functional (saving them $2,000 for the cost of installing another system to adhere to the size of their new garage, and driveway. I do however hold myself personally responsible for the lack of professionalism on this project. I am the owner and complete operator of this company. This saves our customers thousands, because there are no pushy salesmen, or over paid project managers. In my experience, I have found that the cost and quality of our projects can not be matched by the competition, but my dirty appearance, and attention to public relations is not its best. If you choose Hights Buildings, I can promise you that you will have a quality building for thousands less than the competition. If you find a contractor cheaper, we will beat their price by 10%."
