GREGORY HOME INSPECTIONS INC

Curtis Gregory performed a home inspection for a home I am purchasing. I switched from a specialty inspection to a standard inspection with termite and radone testing the day of the inspection. He arrived almost 45 minutes late and look several phone calls during the inspection. He did not tell me he is not certified to test for termites so no termite testing was done while I was there. He did not seem willing to allow the termite inspector to coordinate with my schedule so I can actually make sure the job is done. I would not recommended this company at all. I don't have a report but I am considering having a second inspection done by another person who I actually get this time.
He also missed important information such as a broken sink handle on the only tub/shower in the home. He said he would teach me about the furnace and such and didn't do that either.

He has incredible patience. He does such a great job! He is excellent!

Gregory Home Inspections came out to Inspect my home. They mentioned electrical box problems, including loose wires. In order to fix the prooblem, they advised that the exposed wires be covered up with a box, but in reality they were wired wrong, not up to code, and a dangerous fire hazard. They said they couldn't get into the crawl space, due to clutter. They failed to mention the space was full of water. They never mentioned mold or standing water, so I called Indy Air to come and inspect the air ducts and air quality in my home. They discovered mold in the crawlspace. I was also having problems with the roof of of my home. Upon inspection of my roof, there was another mold discovery. The roofer mentioned that the mold had to have been there for a while, because it was already to stage 3 or 4. I reached out,through my realator, to contact Gregory Home Inspections via e-mail, pertaining to problems with my home that should have been caught by them. They responded "I see these issues as more of a concern for the previous owners and the real-estate agents involved". I stopped communicating with Gregory Home Inspections directly, because of the way they dealt with my electrical problem. They were not thorough and did not take my follow up seriously. The inspection was first conducted in April of 2011, and my issues are still not resolved.

I first learned about Curtis Gregory by attending an INHP class he spoke to. I contacted him and introduced myself as learning about him through the INHP class. I made an appointment with him a week in advance. I had a specific time I wanted the inspection done, so he moved his schedule around to accommodate me. I waited the day of the inspection for 15 minutes for him to show up. I called his cell phone. He said he was at the property starting in on the inspection. I let him know that he wasn't. He figured out he was at 4212, when he needed to be at 4312. He promptly came over and started the inspection. He took digital photos and took notes. When he was done he let me know his findings. The inspection was done on a Wednesday, he said he would have my report on Friday. I did not receive the report until after 5pm on Sunday. I also noticed that there was some damage noted on the report that he failed to tell me the day of the inspection.

My overall experience with Gregory Home Inspections Inc was excellent! Curtis Gregory, owner of Gregory Home Inspections Inc performed my inspection. He was prompt, professional, kind, diligent, & very thorough. He invited me to follow him throughout the home for the inspection & for me to feel free to ask him any questions. For each question that I asked, Curtis gave me thorough answers & explanations. During my inspection, he left no stone unturned! I was impressed with the quality of his work & expertise. I promptly received both a copy of the inspection (including clear & precise photos) report via e-mail & mail. The quality of his work & the report was impressive & thorough. I also had the home inspected for termites & radon (additional cost). I would definitely & highly recommend Gregory Home Inspections Inc to anyone who wants a thorough & quality home inspection.
