Estimator arrived on time as did crew except for one time when crew was supposed to be here around noon and arrived at 2:30 pm. The crew of two was lead by a man who had not been working for Fine very long and was on his first outside job. The first day they spray painted roofs of sunroom, deck and front porch. This spraying left many paint spots to be in need of cleaning. I spent much time pointing these places out and requested that they either use a brush or roller which they did. Although this reduced the amount of paint spots needing clean up, there were still numerous ones. One day when Mel arrived, he said that he had only come to paint and someone else would come to discuss what places needed clean up. Rather than have these places behard to remove and me having to point everything out, I just went behind Mel and spent an hour cleaning these places myself. The men who were here were all polite and worked well. There were two problems with communication, one involving the late arrival time already discussed; the other regarding painting the rust areas on chimney and trim. Mel had not been told to do this and would not have done it if I had not pointed this out. He then called Bob Fine, who called the estimator, who in turn led Bob Fine to tell the two painters to paint these areas which they did. When the painting was all done. Mel and his helper washed my outside windows which were badly splashed with power washing. The painting ended up looking good, but I felt like I had to be a foreman on the job.

The wallpaper took 20 hours to strip due to the prior owner's not doing the original job properly. By the time the contractor finished, the walls looked great and were ready for paint. The worker was on time, professional and cleaned up after himself. The following week we had them come out and paint - again, the painters, were timely and professional. We are really pleased with the work. We have used Fine Painting for all of our paint jobs (interior and exterior) on both our last house and our current house. They aways do a really nice job.

The gentleman was very nice and seemed knowledgable and he had a competitive quote. But when I had another company come out, they gave me different information. Fine Painting said they were recommending one grade lower quality paint than I used before because it was going over some rough work. He said the higher quality paint that we had used (Sherwin Williams Duration) would have some problems. I actually called Sherwin Williams and spoke to someone about it there. Turns out the paint Fine was recommending (Super Paint) was actually two grades lower. Fine also gave me incorrect information about the thickness of the paint. It seems like he didn’t actually know his product. He did recommend the right primer. But the Sherwin Williams representative said Duration would be the right paint to use. So on several different points the Fine Painting rep was just wrong. Even though his quote was comparable to another quote, he would be making more money since he wanted to use lower grade paint. But what really bothered me was that he was recommending the wrong product.

Arrived at my home promptly at 8:30 and were completely done by 1:15. I had fun eating lunch with the two painter and talking about paints and paint jobs...Learned a lot!

This is the fifth time we have used Fine Painting Inc. in the past 6 years and every time our experience has been great.

Greg came out and did the estimate and was very thorough in the questions that he asked to make sure the estimate was as spot on as possible. The crew started the following Monday; Jack, the supervisor on the crew, was extremely thorough and made sure that the work was as excellent as possible, and the crew were all very professional and polite. They were very accomodating when we added a couple of rooms and came back after some flooring was installed to do touch up painting and to repair a dry wall patch. We are very happy with their work and the quick turn around time. We had less than 2 weeks to get all the work done before moving in, and they did a great job of helping us keep on track.

They did a good job and cleaned up really well. They pressed it really well and the paint doesn't peel off at all. It looks really good. We will have to repaint eventually. Their price was somewhat high, but comparable. We always have more than one person look at it. They provided good service.

They were great to work with overall. They were going to use antique white paint, but I wanted to change to a brighter white. They were flexible and provided helpful input. They work turned out great! I’m very happy and would certainly hire them again. They were able to cut costs where available, which kept their prices quite reasonable.

They came in and did everything they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it, for the price they said. I would highly recommend them. They were very clean as well as professional.

Kitchen was fine. Paint job in card room was mediocre & he has to come back and touch up.

Greg did a great job of providing us a very thorough estimate and made helpful suggestions along the way of areas we should consider having them work on. During the work, Steven did a great job of keeping the crew working diligently and also made several helpful suggestions of work they could perform for us and things we could do ourselves for minimal cost. We expanded the scope of the project slightly, based on Steven's value-added suggestions. The entire crew arrived on time, did an excellent job with the painting project, and actually finished ahead of schedule. They left the residual paint for us in the case of any future needed touch-ups and clearly marked each can with the room to which it applied. I would highly recommend Fine Painting to others and plan to use them for our future painting projects. Bob Fine is a pleasure to work with and truly takes pride in the quality of his team's work.

Arthur was very friendly and protected everything. He did a good job of matching the texturing on the ceiling and he cleaned up totally when he was finished. We have used Fine Painting for several projects over the years and have always been very pleased with their work and their people.

Everyone was polite, on time, and very neat. Good job with little disruption. Good clean up as well.

They are wonderful! Prompt and courteous. They moved every thing off the deck and put it all back. They did a fantastic job- the deck looks beautiful. Bob called to make sure i was happy. Highly recommend them.

The estimate was prompt and thorough, and they followed up with us to see if we had any questions. Once we agreed to the work and price, they got too it as soon as the weather cleared up. The carpenter did his work first, and left no traces or trash behind. The painters finished up a couple of days later, and again they a great job, and the only leftover was the paint (so that we can do touch-ups.) This is the 3rd time we've used this company, and would not hesitate to use them again.

On 04/08/11, I had them come back to finish the master bathroom: the wall paper removal finish wall repair and paint the walls. They were very professional and seem to really care about their work. I am alittle dssappointed that after the paint dried, the walls still have several areas that need more drywall repair. The paint also looks uneven in some places. I think that the walls might not have been evenly primed? I need to call the owner and have hime come out and review the job with me. I have not done this yet. His response will determine whether I use them again.

I called and they came to look at the job. They gave an estimate which I accepted. They came to do the work while I was away from home, and they sent an invoice. I paid them. I thought they did a good job, and they left the remaining paint so I could do touchups.

Did their usual, outstanding job. They painted three rooms for us. One individual, Steve, did some extras for us. He did a wash treatment over some calligraphy on the wall and framed it, painting around it with masking tape. He provided a light wash on the other colors. It turned out great!

Painter got lost finding my house & was about an hour late. After he decided to call & ask for directions the experience went well. I will call Fine Painting again.

Outstanding experience. From the original visit of the estimator to the completion of the job, my experience with Fine was first-class. More than half of the cost to me of this project was the carpentry -- a lot of siding had to be replaced. Steve and his crew did a superb job of carpentry in replacing the siding. Once that was complete they painted the exterior of the house. The crew always left the grounds in excellent condition after they left each evening. Steve was great in keeping me informed concerning the status of the project. (He even proved to be a fairly adept weather forecaster!). All three of the crew members were a pleasure to have around the house during the course of the project. Very pleasant and highly professional. When the work was completed, Mr. Fine immediately followed up with a phone call to be certain I was happy with the job. Fine has my strongest recommendation.

I called Fine Painting because of their rating on Angie's List. An estimator called me back immediately and set up an appointment the next day. I received the estimate the following day and, having contacted another contractor, saw that it was lower than their competitor. The workmen were sent out on the day I suggested and worked efficiently every day of their time in my home. They were here for a total of 6 days and were punctual and courteous every day. I also received a follow-up call from Mr. Fine after the job was completed.
