+ -1 moreThey did an excellent job. Our ceilings are very high, so it was a large job. The owner, David Fine, called me to schedule the appointment and advised me on everything we needed to prepare. He also called me when the job was completed to make sure everything went well, which was very nice. The two men that came out were very friendly, and they asked many questions to make sure they knew exactly what we wanted. The finished product looks amazing. They really did a great job and for a reasonable price. We purchased a coupon where we paid upfront but then ended up needing some additional work, which they gladly did for us. They then billed us for the extra work, which was extremely helpful. I highly recommend Fine Painting.
Description of Work: Two men came to paint the interior of my apartment. They painted two bedrooms and one large family room wall.

+ -1 moreIt went well- the painter arrived on time, covered and protected all areas - furniture, and all areas, moved some furniture, and painted the cieling first, after repairing it and preparation for painting it, and then went right to work on the upstairs bathroom. Fine Painting, Inc. is very knowledgeable and we were happy with the reccommendations suggested and how these projects turned out. Looking forward to using Fine Paointing, Inc. for future projects. Description of Work: We contacted Fine Painting, Inc. and the owner came out and inspected the areas to be painted the next day. He was very informative, helpful and professional. We had an estimate within 24 hours. In preparation for selling our home, we wanted to repaint a bathroom with little ventilation that had previously been painted a very dark red, thus seemed to show streaking when moisture was there after someone used the shower. Mr. Fine reccommended going to a neutral, lighter shade. The painting of this bathroom, covering a very dark color, was excellent, and beautifully done. Cleanup was impecable. we were pleased. We also had some repair to a living room ceiling to an area that had leaked. This was a textured ceiling, and the repairs and repainting was done very well, blending in to the textured design well. We were so pleased that the job was done quickly, but done well, and our home was left more immaculate than the painter found it in. We will definately use Fine Painting, Inc. for all our painting jobs in the future in our new home. I am glad we use Angie's List for all our referrals.

Description of Work: Ceiling, trim, and walls were painted in upstairs hall, living room, foyer, and dining room. Ceilings and trim in kitchen/family room were painted. Grout bathroom wall repainted, painted along ceiling and trim.

+ -1 moreThe professional met me at my rental property. I showed him the holes where drywall was needed. He got right to work. He was fast and skilled. He did 3 holes at this house, and even added some paste to a door frame top that needed a little filling in. Then we went to my home where he fixed the hole for water access in my wall by installing my access door and a little piece of drywall. It looked great. He said I would receive a bill for the additional half-hour and I thanked him and he left.
Description of Work: Four patches of drywall, where I had holes. He did excellent work, so smooth and seamless. He installed a access cover very nicely on one of the patches ( I had not mentioned this to him on the phone, but he took it in stride no problem and installed for me). Although I went over by 30 min. I was not charged for it, they are great! I even had a call to see that I liked the results.

+ -1 moreThe estimator, Greg Rayne, was very professional and knowledgeable. Bob Fine was flexible in working with us to set a time for the project that met our needs. The job was finished within the time frame promised. The painters were curteous, productive and did an excellent job of prepping, masking, trimming and clean up. And they did all this during some of the hottest days of this very long hot summer. We would highly recommend them for exterior work and we would definitely use them again for exterior work and as well as give them the first call for estimates for interior painting.
Description of Work: Painted exterior of house, shed and deck railings (one coat). The house exterior is cedar. The project included power washing the house and as needed, scraping of old paint where loose, repair of any trim, and replacing caulk. The paint was applied with sprayer, then rolled on with roller.

+ 0 moreAfter we had stripped the wallpaper from our bathroom (which took varying levels of underlying paint and drywall with it), our wall was in need of repair (ie, smoothing) and paint. We called multiple paint companies, and Fine Painting was the only one to come out to see our bathroom for an estimate. During the estimate, they also recommended re-texturing the ceiling. An onsite estimate was important to us because we have a small bathroom and some of the over the phone estimates seemed very high for the amount of non-tiled wall space we actually have. The work took two days. Both days, the painter was on time and he did an excellent job. The walls look amazing (smoother than I could have imagined, given what the wall looked like before getting work done).

I appreciated that they periodically checked with me to make sure the work was being done to my satisfaction. All work areas were kept neat and clean, and they both performed in a professional manner at all times.
Description of Work: In my garage, they prepared and painted the walls, ceiling, cabinets & trim. On exterior of my home, they prepared and painted front living room window, touched up some bad areas on soffit, painted crawl space metal door, painted wood surfaces on sun porch, and hand washed off a very dirty gutter and gutter cover.

+ -1 moreWe hired Fine Painting INC to paint three large rooms in our newly purchased house. We wanted a crew to come in before we moved in over the weekend. Fine gave us a quote and promised to be on the project before we moved in. They delivered on both their price and their service. We received three quotes, Fine was the lowest. They were on the job Thursday morning. They only completed two of the three rooms on Thursday, but were back on Friday with a new crew to finish the largest room. Unfortunately they still did not finish on Friday, but that was due to us adding the basement stairway. A one-man crew finished on Monday morning. Throughout the process we received updates at the start and end of each day. I would rate their communication an A if it were an option!We will definetely use them again when the need arrises.
Description of Work: We hired Fine Painting to paint our kitchen/dining area/family room, a playroom, and our 2-story entry/sitting room. After their quote, we added the stairwell to our basement.
