There was a mix-up on the color and the green that was supposed to match the bedspread clashed. They returned and repainted the walls (woodwork is white) at no additional cost.

They were fantastic. I can't even tell that there was a water mark there. I am attempting to sell my house, and they fixed it so that no potential home buyers will think there is a leak of any kind in the roof which there is not.
Description of Work: They repaired a poor plaster job from a previous attempt to fix a water spot in the ceiling. There was one 4x8 square as well as two other small areas that were flaking.

The first day they arrived, Jack, the supervisor, met with us and we made final determination of the colors and type of paint. We told him what was important to us and what we wanted done. We introduced Jack and crew to Rowdy, our dog. Rowdy remained crated, except when he was with is in a closed off room. Jack and his crew proceeded with their work. We tried to stay out of their way. As situations occurred, we all flexed with it. I had OP surgery and was out longer that I expected. One of their workers had a familly member admitted to the hospitall with heart problems. We all just let it flow and adapted as needed. The home office was always responsive to any questions or concerns, as was Jack. When I had questions about the color of the kitchen Island, Jack stopped to discuss it till we made a decision and then moved forward again. He never became upset or irritated or, if he was, he didn't show it. While doing prep work they fixed a door into the garage. It had lossened and it was hard to make the door stay closed. They touched up a wall they had already painted when a technician here for additional work accidentally gouged the wall. They went over and above what we expected. We are happy with our newly painted home. We have been married a long time and have never had the entire interior of a house painted while we were in residence, even after building three homes. We would use Fine Painting again without any concerns. I called and talked to Mr Fine immediately after the work was completed. I wanted to tell him directly just how great the crew was to work with and how good the work was. It was a pleasure to work with them and mostly a pleasure to pay the bill. lol. :D
Description of Work: We obtained four estimates to paint the interior of our 1900 sq ft, 2 1/2 year old home. This was to include all walls, windows, doors, trim and baseboards . This also included preparation and repair of all surfaces. The estimator was personable, customer friendly, and detailed in his work. They submitted a professional bid and included references from previous jobs they had completed. We knew what we were getting into. We were told it would take up to five days. The highest bid was $7,400 and the lowest comparable bid was $3,100. We selected Fine Painters because it was in the neighborhood of the other lower bids and we liked what it offered in service. They arrived on time , did the work and completed the work in a timely manner. They cleaned up after themselves and left the home useable overnight. They made sure we had a consistent supervisor, Jack, who was there each day.

They were wonderful! Greg came out for the estimate and we were able to schedule painting for the following week. We had a touch-up job gone bad throughout our home and we kept putting this project off, fearing we would have to repaint our entire home. They took the old paint and matched it perfectly and repainted/touched up walls throughout our home. They were punctual and very professional and were done in 3 hours! They made sure to ration the paint so they could leave some for us since it was a perfect match. Bob called me the following day to make sure we were satisfied, which really impressed us. We HIGHLY recommend them and will definitely use them for any painting in the future. Thank you

THese guys are awesome! There were very thorough and the room looks incredible. They worked quickly and made sure that I knew exactly when they had reach four hours and asked if I wanted them to spend a bit more time on touch ups. (I did and the additional charge was VERY reasonable). The room looks perfect and I couldn't be happier. I will definitely have them back again to do more of my interior painting.

The project was to take two days, but ended up taking almost 2.5 days. The painter left two hours early on day one and then left an hour early on day two. Had he worked the three hours he left early, the project could have been completed in two days time. I had to take another half day away from work due to this. The overall quality of the job was very good. Fine does EXCELLENT work. I wish the painter would have been more mindful of my time. However, I'm very happy with the quality and workmanship.
Description of Work: I had my stairwell, hall, and office painted (ceiling, trim, doors, walls). They were to prep all walls and paint in two colors.

They were wonderful. They did a great job at taking off the paint and stucko that was in the kitchen. It looks wonderful. They did a great job at covering things up and cleaning up after the job was done. They also labeled the left over paint and suggested safe storage methods for it. I would use them again!
Description of Work: They painted our kitchen and one of the walls in our living room. They only did one wall because of a previous remodel job we had done. Wallpaper was taken down in the hallway and then they also repainted it. They did come back to do touch up work after another service provider finished with a remodeling project.

The painters arrived on time each day, were very professional, were meticulous with clean-up, and repaired and painted everything to our satisfaction. When we pointed out a few areas that we thought still needed attention, they happily addressed our concerns. We would definitely use them again.
Description of Work: They repaired cracks and painted the kitchen, repaired wall cracks and painted the dining room, painted the stairwell and loft areas, and repaired cracks in and painted the ceiling and the walls in our large bonus room. They were wonderful about moving furniture away from the walls, and they covered everything with clean cloths before painting. When sanding, they draped areas and contained the dust as much as possible, even covering the cold air return temporarily until the dust settled. The cost of the paint and all materials were included in our quote. The final price was the same as the quote we received.

I bought 8 hrs worth of drywall repair through an Angie's List Big Deal. When I called to schedule my appointment I found the office staff to be very nice to work with, and informative. I wanted to do as much prep work as possible to maximize the use of the handyman's time. I had the walls sanded and primed/sealed with oil based primer before the scheduled appointment time. A gentleman showed up a my door at 8:20 am the day before our scheduled appointment. He called the office when I told him that the appt was actually scheduled for the next day, and they said it was no problem to come back. So the next day he showed up around the same time and got to work right away. I showed him a 7"x10" hole in the wall that I wanted repaired (I already bought the dry wall/sheetrock) as well as the rest of the walls which I wanted skim coated. He said that he would have to go get supplies to repair the hole (drywall screws and grid tape) since he thought he was just skim coating. I told him I'd be happy to run to the store and get the supplies, but he insisted on going and even said that he would take off the time he spent going to the store so I'd get my full day of work. He started repairing the obvious flaws in the wall with spackle, and after about 1.5 hrs, he indicated that there was no way this job would take 8 hrs. I told him that I anticipated him doing a full skim coat of all the walls, not just spackling holes (I could do that!). He said that he didn't feel the walls needed a skim coat. I told him that the oil based primer helped A LOT, but that behind the primer the walls were in very rough shape and I thought a skim coat was needed. He said that he had been doing this for 20+ years and that the walls would look fine after being painted. I asked him if the areas he had patched (which were perfectly smooth) would look different from the rough/orange peel surface of the walls that weren't patched (due to a heavy handed priming job and very old dry wall). He said that I should prime over ONLY the areas that he had patched with a roller; then, after that dries, prime all the walls together. Considering there were close to 50 or so repair areas throughout the room, it just doesn't make any sense to me to try and spot prime these small repairs with a roller. I felt frustrated that he was not really listening to my concerns, or at least was not offering to do the job that I wanted (a full skim coat). He went to the store to grab the needed supplies and I had a class that lasted about an hour, so I left to do that. I asked my mom to come over and stay at the house (to make sure my dog didn't drive the worker nuts!) while I was at my class, and after looking at the room, she agreed that spot patching the walls was not going to work. I called the main office on my way to my class after deciding that I was not going to be happy with this job unless it was fully skim coated. Plus, I had paid for 8 hours of work, and if he was almost done after 2, I didn't have enough work to keep him busy the rest of the day, so might as well get what I wanted! No one picked up at the office, but I left a message asking them to relay the message that I would like things skim coated. (This was difficult for me, as I'm not an assertive person and don't like confrontation!) I'm sure the worker was ticked off that I went around him, but I had no way to contact him and I was worried that I would return from class and he would have already sanded and been "done". When I returned he didn't seem happy about it, but he was skim coating...and I felt much happier about the job being done correctly (by my standards). He finished skim coating and left for the day around 3 pm, stating he would need to come back tomorrow, and he gave me notice that he would probably go 1-2 hours over the allotted 8 hr time slot. He showed up the next day to sand his work and went the "extra distance" in my book by caulking the ceiling and base board seams, which I would never have thought to do. I had put down drop cloths before he arrived, so I can't say a lot for how well he cleaned up after himself. But he didn't leave a big mess, which is saying something considering all the sanding! He did an AMAZING job patching the wall where the intercom was--my husband came home and couldn't even tell where it used to be! And the skim coat was good. I don't think any skim coat is perfect, but he did nice work, and I was overall very happy with the result. He only went over on time one hour, and the company billed me for the extra time the next business day. It was a very big job, done for a fraction of the price of what any company would quote it out for, and it was done well--which I really do appreciate. And the office manager called me the next work day to see if I was satisfied with the work completed (he left a nice voice message, as I missed his call), which I thought was a nice gesture. My only real complaint would be that I didn't feel like the worker (who never told me his name, now that I think of it!) listened when I told him what I wanted (the full skim coat, instead of just patching up the obvious spots that needed repair on the walls). I know he didn't feel like it was necessary, but I am definitely glad it was done, and know that I would not have been happy with the job had he not done all of the walls.
Description of Work: Skim coat and sand a small bathroom a 12'x1' bedroom. I had removed wall paper in both rooms and was left with very rough looking walls. Also patched a 10"x7" rectangle in the bedroom where I had removed an old intercom unit.

Fine Painting did a really bang up job. He said he had two guys who didn't have a lot to do and he would send them over. They really worked hard to get it done and I really appreciated it. The customer service was great. It was all about getting out here and getting it done. These two guys were painters who knew how to do drywall and since they didn't have a painting job their boss wanted them to go ahead and help me out. I had explained my situation to the owner and he said we wanted to help me out and he wanted these two guys to have something to do.
Description of Work: I used Fine Painting did 120 feet of drywall that was like a foot and a half high. I had a guy coming in on Monday to lay tile and I needed the drywall done. I called him on Thursday and on Friday I had 2 guys there to do my drywall.

They arrived on time, listened to my concerns about how bad the walls were damaged and how I wanted the paint to stay off of the carpet on the stairs. They started work immediately, did a great job repairing the walls, and then moved things to paint and applied 2 coats of paint. They always do great work and that is why this is the 3rd time I have hired them. I would definitely recommend them to anyone thinking of a hiring a painting project. They also do a good job of following up to make sure you were satisfied and to listen to any suggestions.
Description of Work: They repaired and painted the walls in my loft above the garage including the stairway leading to the room. They taped everything, put down painting cloths, secured loose drywall, repaired nail pops, gashes, nicks, etc. by filling them in, sanding them down and then painted the walls with two coats of paint.

After putting my foot through a textured ceiling while attempting to catch a squirrel, I made drywall repairs, but was not confident I could match the textured ceiling. I chose to find a contractor through Angie's list and submitted a request for quote to 5 contractors. I sent pictures of the damaged area and details on sizes, location, accessibility, etc. Only 3 contractors responded. Fine painting was the only contractor who arranged to stop by and review the project. We agreed on a scope of work that would provide the best results. Fine painting arrived as planned, did an exceptional job of duplicating the original ceiling pattern, and finished painting that I had agreed to do. The final invoice was submitted at our agreed upon price. I am quite pleased with the results of Fine Painting's interaction, quality of work and price.
