Fine Painting Inc

Within a matter of days of my first call to Fine Painting, Greg came out to provide an estimate. He was punctual and very professional. Since this was my first time hiring painters, I cannot give much of an opinion on the estimate provided. I can say that it seemed to align fairly closely with the prices I've read about on Angie's list when researching the topic. Four days later, the workers arrived to paint. Overall, the job was done very well, but there were some very minor imperfections along the trim and window boundaries. (DISCLAIMER: I am a perfectionist, my wife claims I'm too picky/anal and was very happy with their work.) I know they did not use tape, but perhaps that is a standard practice among professionals. I also found one small area that they failed to paint near the floor by our cabinets (2" x 1"). Overall, I am satisfied and my wife is very satisfied with the final results. I would rate their work a 9 out of 10.

Their bid was quickly scheduled and turned around via email. Dave answered questions in a timely fashion. He also let me know in advance that he was going to be at the Patio Show, and might be a little hard to reach - very thoughtful on his part during the bidding process. It was important to us how companies approached the Tudor boards. Some proposed to paint the edges and face different colors - largely, my impression, based on what was easiest for the painters, vs. what looks best. If companies "cut corners" on the Tudor boards...it left doubts in our mind about their approach to quality. Fine Painting proposed to "do this right" and have the edge and face of the Tudor boards the same color. This reflects a focus on the customer/quality, and that was an important factor for us. I did select another company based on cost & paint quality -- Fine was $100 more, and proposed a mid-grade paint (Sherwin-Williams A-100) instead of SW Super Paint. But they were a close 2nd.

The are so nice to have around. They are pleasant and do excellent work. They are a husband and wife team and they are worth the price!

They did all that I asked them to do aside from the edges of the door frames. I was expecting to see the sides of the doorframes painted and they were not. I had to call them back out to do that. Upon painting the hinges of the front door and the door going to the garage, grease had come out and drained down the doors. I didn't know they would paint the hinges and they didn't ask me. When David Fine came out and I mentioned that the door frame sides had not been painted, he did two, maybe three, but didn't finish all of them and he left. I'm not likely to ever call them or recommend them to anybody. I don't have a whole lot of room to store other furniture in, however, our coffee table has a set-in glass top. I had a covering over this table and they put an extra sheet over the top of it...and now there is a scratch in the glass - it wasn't there before.

They cleaned up really well. They put on a base coat and as well as top coat.

We usually do our own painting but decided to splurge a little and have a professional do it this time. They did a great job from start to finish in much less time than it would have taken us to do the job! David Fine is easy to work and communicate with. He was able to do our job a week earlier than scheduled which we appreciated. If we are in a position to hire painters again, I would definitely call Fine Painting.

We scheduled this contractor over a week prior to the agreed upon date. The job was to be begin at 8:00am. The contractor sent us an e-mail at 3:30 pm in the afternoon before the appointment canceling our appointment citing "unforeseen problems." Since this was an inside the home job which required my presence, I had scheduled my work schedule around this. I needlessly lost a half day of work due to the late cancellation.

Their service was great. Their quote was prompt and their work was exceptional.

We had used this company last year to repaint the exterior of our home (very pleased). Very prompt / professional in the estimate with much better recommendations on paint and repairs than two other estimates. Estimates were written. Team arrived as scheduled and stayed on the job until completed (five days). Cleaned up areas every day. Covered all furniture. No loud blasting radio. Very prompt and professional painters. Supervisor came in several times over the course of the work. Price was higher than estimate because we added some work we discovered during the painting.

Job 1: My house is 20 years old. They took down wallpaper and prepared the walls to paint. They made my crown molding look new and beautiful. They spent time on their craft instead of just hurrying to get the job done. They care about doing an A+. They went back to paint a ceiling twice, cleaned up after the job, and were professional! There is nothing to worry about when they are doing a job for you. They are honest and up front with the cost. Job 2: They spent 4 days painting my land and taking down wall paper in my kitchen. They did an A+ job.

I contracted them in email, prompt reply to schedule estimate. After estimate, received, they sent a very knowledgeable painter to do the work as agreed on. Excellent job & clean up. Price may be a bit higher than some of the painters would charge.

We are very pleased with the work. The whole job was done in only 1.5 days, and it looks really nice. All the holes are well-patched and invisible, and the paint looks great.

Good experience overall. Could give a little more notice as to time of arrival.

I picked this company because they had a high rating. My call was answered immediately and a time for an estimate was set for the following week. During the estimate, Fine Paint answered all of my questions and gave an explanation of the work to be performed and the cost for each element (i.e. wallpaper removal, ceiling paint etc). The crew arrived in a timely manner, all employees were very polite and professional even when I changed my colors in the middle of the project. The project was finished when promised. This is a great company. I am using them to paint the exterior of my home this summer. They did a great job, the walls look amazing.

We called Dave Fine and left a message on Monday. Tuesday he called and set a time to come over to give us a quote. Gave us a quote on the spot and followed up with an email. The painter came over on Saturday and was on time. He did a very thorough job and cleaned up completely before he left.

Great experience. Dave Fine showed up on time for the estimate walk-through and then delivered the estimate the same day. Mike did a fantastic job with the painting. The quality of the work, the professionalism of the workers, and the friendliness of the staff have been outstanding. I'll be hiring them again to do more painting inside and outside my house.

Greg Rayne & entire staff were very courteous & professional. Work was of the highest quality & areas were left very clean, with no debris. All work was completed in two days. Crew was punctual, friendly & responsive. I plan to hire again to do interior painting because of the excellent work that this company did.

They did an excellent job and were very nice.

There were just so many things wrong that we had to point out over and over again. We had to contact them several times to get them to come back out. We ended up giving the general manager a list of the things that were wrong. It was just a bad experience. I had to tell the general manager how to solve one of the problems they had. It took too many weeks for a house to be painted with 1/2 brick and 1/2 siding.

I have used Fine before and when this happened I thought of them right away. They did a great job as usual. The repair was into a corner with a motion detector and plant shelf, very difficult, but it looks fantastic. Every attention to detail was as done, as well as clean up. Use Fine if you want a quality job.

We had some problems with the paint, it is a very old house with wood siding, and after the paint job, some of the new paint peeled off. I called to have them come back and fix it and they were on it immediately, they came right out and took care of everything. I was very impressed. The problems were caused by the age of the wood, not by their quality of work. They were very professional, responsive, timely, and did a great job.

They were excellent. They were timely, professional. The paint job was very, very good. I have no complaints.

Dave came out and provided a quote, and we arranged for painting the following week. The workers arrived promptly and began work immediately. They were quick and efficient, and the painting work they did was beautiful. I was working on the second floor while they painted, and could hear the workers as they worked. Most of the conversation was innocent enough, but at one point a worker harassed another in what I'd consider an unprofessional manner. The project itself was executed with great care, however. They cleaned up completely, and other than the previously mentioned comments, the team was highly professional. I am extremely happy with the work they've done and would absolutely hire them again.

Fine Painting came in and repaired my walls, fixed the other flaws, and painted my walls and ceiling. They did an excellent job! The workers arrived on time, did an excellent job, and even stayed a couple of hours later just so I could have my family room back to normal before the Thanksgiving holiday. My husband and I were very impressed and would certainly have them back to our home for future repair and paint jobs.
