I used an Angie's List Big Deal for this service. She was very nice and came up with some good ideas; she was extremely helpful.

I thought it would have been better if she would have talked about my needs over the phone and set up an appointment 4-5 months later. It has been so long ago that this is my best recollection of the facts.

The amount included the discount that I got on Angie’s List. I think if she had taken photographs of the room when she left from her initial walk though or evaluation, she could have done a better design. The price was great with the discount. She was responsive and punctual. I would use her again in the future.

Jo was a very personable individual and she had some really great ideas. When we are ready to actually start some interior projects we intend to call her back. We could make a few suggestions for improvement of service. First, she had initially scheduled her visit with us that was in conflict with another appointment and had to reschedule. Second, she was a little late for the adjusted appointment. Third, as we did our walkthrough of our home with Jo, she made comments that were more judgmental when they should have been more neutral and in the nature of fact gathering. A couple of examples are: she immediately suggested that we would "of course" like to replace our windows. Unfortunately, we had our current windows installed the previous year and they were such a vast improvement over the old ones that we were thrilled with them and replacing them was out of the question. Another suggestion she made was in regard to the color of our kitchen. She implied that a different color might be more appropriate. Unfortunately, we had painted the kitchen two days after we moved in the previous year and of course we loved the color. A more neutral inquiry as to our feeling about the color of the kitchen probably would have been more professional. The result of our walkthrough with Jo was that we felt she was very knowledgeable and personable, but like a lot of businesses in this economy was probably in a position of needing to generate some work. We don't fault her for that need, but just would suggest moderating her aggressive approach a little bit.

On time, personable, and through. She had some good ideas.

We got a special for one day. It was an introductory offer for about $90. She was a little pushy at times, but she gave us some good ideas on colors and so forth. She was helpful. We are just holding on from doing anything right now because we are retired. We cannot spend a lot of money just yet, but we will in time. We are about a year away from doing any work. We haven't signed a contract with her, but we will consider using her.

Jo met with us at our home to discuss interior & exterior designs. Jo was very helpful and did a good job pulling from us our style, what we liked & didn't like, and came up with three design boards / themes for the exterior. We also discussed interior wall color, flooring, bathroom, and kitchen updates, but decided to do these in Phase 2. We're in the process of implementing Jo's color scheme & light fixtures for the exterior, it's looking good. Jo's design boards were hand-drawn -- would like to have had computer-generated photos of the house with the proposed color schemes to help us visualize better and try different ideas. Overall, though, a good experience especially for our low budget.

SHE LISTENS TO YOUR INPUTS AND WORKS VERY HARD IN ESTABLISHING A TEAMING APPROACH. HAS MADE MANY RECOMMENDATIONS TO KEEP ME WITHIN MY BUDGET. HAS GONE OUT OF HER WAY TO ACCOMMODATE MY HECTIC WORK SCHEDULE. JO CAN BE REACHED AT JOHN KIRK FURNITURE. AS WITH MANY OF THE PERSONNEL, SHE HAS HER OWN INTERIOR DESIGN BUSINESS. SHE IS ALSO A TALENTED SCULPTOR AND FLORIST.
